Thread: Am I the only one who thinks it's too easy to reach Master Doctor?
I think it is quite easy to get through the medic profession and the Doc profession. When I got the game, I spent the first 4 days sampling so I could have enough resources to get me through to Master Medic. This means I started really playing on a Monday. I had qualified for Doctor by Saturday. It took me 6 days to get Novice Doc. I must admit, that because I was from beta I knew what I had to do and was able to do it fairly quickly.
Crafting during the medic skill tree wasn't a problem...I mean I managed to grind through it. I did it while sampling half the time. But now for Doc the problem is with crafting. I just got a factory so I should be able to get through Doc Crafting soon.
As for master Doc, I think they made it easy because they are essential to the game. One thing that the devs posted in beta was "what to do in the game." This was just a suggestion but I think it was a great idea. They said master your professions and do other things. One of the main things that they said was "The game doesn't begin until you master your chosen profession." I think this is true, because once we master Doc, we can go on in the game. Once I hit master doc, I'm gonna go and do all the Jabba missions (if they are fixed). I will also try to collect badges and other things. Remember...the game has only just begun. They have yet to introduce the great content that we would like.
Is there a trick to gaining medical experience I'm missing?
Due to the 3 branches needing the same experience type, advancement seems slow to me.
I started my character Friday night andhunted and completed destroy missionsfor 6 hours = Unarmed Specialist
Saturday I worked Medic for 8 hours = All 4 branches at Level 1
Sunday I worked Medic for 7 hours = Organic Chem 2and First Aid 2, others still Level 1
I was working my butt off too. I had about 1.5K skins from Friday night's hunting, and I bought 2K inorganics. I crafted as I ran from place to place and during other downtimes. I hung out in the medical center most of Saturday, and Sunday I spent at the Tusken camp healing about as fast as I could spam the button, healing both damage and wounds with my medical droid.
Is there some magic trick I've not discovered? I'm not finding this to be particularly fast.
