There was one person buffing in CORO with a line of at least 20 people long. I was just offering a no-line buff of 50k. I got people that didn't want to wait in line, so I buffed them at that price. If I offer lower, more peeps come and there is a line, thus defeating the purpose of a NO LINE BUFF!
I got sever nasty tells of people telling me to F off, to go screw myself, and that I am a moron who likes little boys..... now, I do not know why people were getting so mad at me because I was not buffing them for the price that they wanted to be buffed at. I just simply told them that if they do not want to be buffed at 50k, then they could wait in line.

Waiting for my group to finish arriving at Jabba's shuttle for the corellian corvette, I got a tell asking if I can buff and where I am, I gave the guy coords and he arrived promptly (I believe from Bestine) and offered to pay me 30K when I said 12K is fine, the benefit of finding a doc usually comes with a price except this guy just politely offered a higher pay.
On a side note, I make better income by doing missions, I really hate doing public buffs generally and I don't think the profit is as good as many think.

LOL this post is hilarious. On flurry prices arent as high as other servers, I dont make my packs I buy them. and guess what. I charge Imperials 5k for full buffs and then I charge rebals 30k. Why you might ask, call it a little roleplaying and call it a little "because I can". when your in coronet and you the ONLY master doc...you can charge what you want. if I could squeeze 50k out of a buff i would. Your paying 50k.......what are you going to do after that ? run 2 janta missions (which will take you what..5 minutes?) and you have your money back. You now have 3 hours and 20 mins to do whatever you want. Stop complaining......theres enough of that going around.

with the prices that most Docs have to pay for resources and the amount of creds that a player can earn with one of our buffs, i think 50k is a deal.. Go to any of the adventure planets and a player can solo 2 missions and make 60+k on a set of buffs in less then 6 mins. @ least I know i can. that still leaves at least 3+ hours to make up to 1 million creds on a single set of buffs. again, I can and have. non Docs want to charge 100-150 cpu for avain and herb, guess what, the final buyer has t bear the burden of our costs. this is one reason i only enhance the guild i belong to and a select set of clients i have met and known and have helped me in return... Greedy? Docs? not at all, we are just fed up with geing abused by the full combat players whom think WE owe them....

If I run rancor, janta or mokk missions at 30ka pop, I may not even be able to get my hands on any by the time I do have the credits. But ... if and when I do .. there is NO WAY I'm charging 10k for a buff.
And with those 1000 buff packs the doc will probably get back no less than 120k per set which would be 120 million credits. I have a hard time feeling sorry for the doc on that one.
People are charging 200+ cpu for meat because docs kept trying to outbid every other doc. Don't blame the hunters because all the docs are in competition. If it wasn't profitable at 300+cpu there wouldn't be people spamming buy ads in coronet for meat at that price.

The other day I had to pay 180k for a set of buffs (32 in the stack), because everyplace else I checked was sold out. If I were to sit and buff the public at 10k a pop I'd make 320k, only 140k as a net gain. That's not a lot, for time it takes to do 32 buffs.
Now if a hunter goes and pays a doc for a 10k buff then does janta missions, even going at a leisurely pace, will easily make over 500k using that one set of buffs, that's a chunkload more than the doc is making. Regardless though I still do it because I like helping out the general public.

First, I find it funny that all these "Docs are greedy" posts are from new members.
Second I find it hilarious that poeple have a problem with a doc selling buffs for 50k. The doc could shout "Buffing 2000+ for 2 hours only 200k". ---> ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with this. If people don't want to pay that, they don't have to pay it. It is JUST THAT SIMPLE.
Complaining about this is like complaining because someone sold a weapon on an auction, and you thought it was overpriced. Obviously someone didn't because they paid that much for it. All you have to do is not buy it.
The fact that someone wants $XXXXXXXXXXX for buffs doesn't really consern anyone except that doc and the people who are willing to dish out the money for it.

50k buffs, who charges that? thats insane. i would be ashame to advertise a price of 50k for a buff.

have you factored in the price of food and resources (if you craft your own) or packs (if you buy them)? it may look like you've made alot in an hour untill you subtract all the expenses. i make way more money running janta missons than i do buffing.

While Im agreeing that the prices of resources are crazy.. I also agree that buff prices are crazy. The adage of "You scratch my back and Ill scratch yours..." has always kept me well supplied as a Doc while being able to charge much less for my buffs and still make a large profit.
IMHO I think that people are missing the idea that to make good money as a Doctor now they might have to work at it a bit harder than they used to... the economy has changed and is still changing.. and the resources being expensive Doctors might haveto take a time out and make some of their meds instead of EXPECTING to just buy them and automatically make a profit.
I have found that by charging less and making friends outta your clients.. they will inturn sometimes be willing to either sell you resources at a much reduced rate or give them to you.
So my advise to those Docs that are complaining about prices and how hard it is to be a Doctor just ignore the guys selling resources for lots.. there will always be someone that is selling for less you just have to wait around and have patience. Also take advantage of the lots your character has and try some Xserver lot trades if you need more.
