The medical xp conversion to force sensitive-sense xp is grossly unbalanced at this point. Just doing a few estimates demonstrates this easily.


Assumptions:
For the sake of argument, assume that an elite combat profession can earn 150k of weapon xp and 15k of combat xp an hour and that a doctor can earn 60k of medical xp an hour.


Conversion to Force Sensitive XP:
Combat: (150k weapon xp / 30) + (15k combat xp /3) = 10k fs xp (combat or reflexes)
Current Medical (10:1): 60k medical xp / 10 = 6k of fs xp (Sense)
Proposed Medical (6:1): 60k of medical xp / 6 = 10k of fs xp (Sense)


Time to Master One Force Sensitive Branch (1,225,000 fs xp):
Combat: 1,225k / 10k = 122.5 hours
Current Medical: 1225k / 6k = 204.2 hours
Proposed Medical: 1225k / 10k = 122.5 hours


So the elite combat player can earn 10k of fs xp /hour. Currently, a doctor can earn only 6k of fs xp an hour. To balance the ratio of medical xp conversion would need to be changed to 6 to 1 rather than the current 10 to 1.


Experience Limits:
Combat: 900k / 150k = 6 hours before cap
Current Medical: 80k / 60k = 1.3 hours before cap
Proposed Medical: 360k / 60 = 6 hours before cap


Currently, an elite combat player can gain experience for 6 hours before reaching their experience limit and a doctor can only gain experience for 1 hour and 20 minutes. To balance, the limit of medical experience would need to be raised to 360k.


Side Effect:
This also shows that experience requirements for skills in the doctor profession are too low. The 4th skill block of an elite weapon profession cost 450k and would take 3 hours at the 150k/hour rate. To balance, the 4th block of the Doctor profession should be 180k rather than 60k.

Man if its not the docs getting screwed with the havala bug, now it will take the greater part of next year to master any FS if you are not a power player (which I am not). Man, as someone said, I'd just like to have a game where I can log in, play and have fun. Not have it become some "digital job" where I have to work consistently going back and forth buffing my creature, or finding somebody to let me kill them 2000 times.


I completely understand that FS should not be easy, but it shouldn't be next to impossible either!


I just earned my glowy today. Not sure what good it is now.

This limit makes our trees utterly ridiculous...hopefully the devs will do something.

First box in a branch: 1.75million medical xp


Second box in a branch: 2.5million medical xp


Third box in a branch: 3.5million medical xp


Forth box in a branch: 4.5million medical xp


one branch: 12.25million medical xp


four branches: 49million medical xp


Assuming 800 medical xp per revive, that would be 61,250 revives for 4 branches.


Assuming 30 charges per revive pack, that would be 2042 revive packs with power well enough to grant 800xp.


If you have an alt or friend character that is also force sensitive, all you'd have to do is /dump your macro and turn around to convert the xp. Have fun.

Im actually getting doctor again just to finish this line, its the last 4 boxes I need to move on. From what i'm reading I have to craft certain quality stuff for the quests? I was only plannin on gettin 0400 but I guess i'll have to get doctor, unless I can trade the schematics? anyone know?

I'll have to use an alt, so it wont be as easy as it could, as my alts are not FS so i'll have to run out of the village and back in every few minutes

If you think docs got shafted with the healing xp....try doing the crafting tree


In an hour of solid grinding I make almost 5k FS crafting xp. Crafting ABECs I get something on the order of 72 xp per item, while a DE with the same conversion rate gets 454 xp crafting advanced droid skeletons or something like that. I'm not sure if architects have the same conversion rate, but I know I can get 2k per item crafting statues.


Its gonna take me almost 3 days of off and on play to get novice force crafter at 50k FS xp.....then I get to look forward to 175k for the first box.


If the architect conversion is the same as doc, I will be forced to do something I swore I would never do again after I stopped hologrinding....dropping master doc. And all of this just for the extra toon (don't care about being jedi) and the off chance of making slightly higher buff packs for when I open my buff pack business.....
