Thread: How should I price my Stim Bs?

I agree with the others, it depends on the server, and where you sell them. I sell my Stim B's (~40/~400) for 2900 in Coronet on Radiant. We haven't had good Dant berries since i can remember so these are not too bad. When I first started selling them about 6 months ago it was hard to get even 1500 for them on the bazaars. Now 2900 is thought of as cheap, go figure. I have also found that people will buy them for a lot more as singles, than in the case. I have had people tell me 28000 for a case of 10 is way too expensive, then they go and buy 10 singles off the bazaar at 2900 each. When i was adjusting my prices i would place 5 at price X, then 5 more at price X+100, etc. you will see which one sells at the rate you like. Too cheap they will be gone before you can log, to expensive you get that nice email "Auction Failed". Experiment around a bit with worlds and cities. It adds some more fun/agrravation to the game.

For my vendors, I stick to a formula for pricing all my stims.


charge x heal rating x 0.25


never had a problem selling any of them rather quickly.


The Bazzar, like others have stated, is the easiest way to sell em IMO, 25 a trip and they usually sell out in a day even if you price them @ 6k per.

Well you are right I don't have a clue the best way for making stims to sell, because it's still a pain in the backside.


making 1000 each of the 3 takes a while and a large amount of resources, even if you don't use adv chem the other resources are still a pain. Do really want to spend my time running around the galaxy, checking when decent resources come up and harvesting.


For 1k a stim? Effort vs Profit.....nah not worth my time. That was my point anyway. 1k being not a lot really. My time is more precious.

For a while I used to buy crates of stim b's at 40k a crate then sell them on the bazaar in singles at 3k a pop (before the bazaar change). That's effort vs cost. 'Cause I'm damn sure I couldn't be arsed to make em.

How do you guys turn a profit selling them @ 1k/pack?


Just calculating the 16 herbivore X 80cpu (what I and most other docs pay for the stuff) = 1280 credits. And thats just one resource...

Veggie Stims, use regular Chem Release, not Advanced.


I mine all my own resources, and that works out about .2cpu so profit is very easy.

ChargesxPower / 5 for stims.

ie 30/400 Stim Bs are 30x400 (12000) /5 = 2400.

Why do you bother crafting them if you can sell the resources for more than the final product? And with med resources, you easily can.


If Docs selling for more than you say are greedy, then I have a label for those who sell for less than the market value of your resources ... you're just plain stupid.

Sorry, forgot to respond to the original poster. As hasbeen said by others, pricing does fluctuate depending on what server you're on. But there is a rule of thumb I use for all my stimpack pricing that can at least give you a baseline to work from ....


[Number of charges] x [Power] x 10% = Retail Price


After that, I'll increase or descrease it depending on what I feel it will sell for. This formula will also compensate for using higher priced resources like Herbivore meat or reflect a low price when using base components. At least on my server, this formula takes the current market value of the resources and marks them up accordingly.


That formula has worked for me since I started selling stims and I've been selling crates and crates of all flavours of stims for 5 months now.


Another helpful tip, you could make them without Advanced CRM's as many have stated, but I prefer to use cheap, mid to low quality Herb meat instead (not the meat I use for buffpacks - it's seperate). Your lowest quality Advanced component will still be better than your highest quality base component. My 2 credits.

For stimpacks, I don't find that the quality of the meat makes all that much difference - and I always harvest my own. The resources I have trouble finding are the organic and inorganic ones that need to be surveyed, and so I don't often make crates of Stims because I don't have enough resources to really make it worthwhile.

I sell mine for 5k on Lowca on the bazaar in Coronet, Theed and sometimes Mos Eisley and usually sell out in a day or two.

With good LS you can easily crank out 400+ power stim packs with a standard CRDM..


Voila! No herb meat!
