Thread: How should I price my Stim Bs?

Hey all,
i've had a doc alt for a while now...mostly to buff myself, but as the game grows boring I have started becoming a crafter...not bad either hehe. Anyway I've never sold my Stim Bs before, so I'm not sure how to price them. I just started a run of 434 power with 43 uses Stim Bs. Any idea of what to charge? Thanks everyone,

Wow... that's, expensive... I would never charge anything more than 1000 credits/pack for anything up to Stim Ds.

It really depends on the server you're on and also where you intend to sell.
If you want to sell on the bazaar, it's pretty easy - just browse the bazaar (and I'd suggest looking at the 'entire galaxy' so you can see regional variations - stuff tends to be more expensive on the death worlds) and take a look at what other people are selling the stim-b's for. Pay attention to how much time remains on the auction, too, particularly if you're looking at something for sale in Coronet or Theed - if it's got one or two days left, it's probably overpriced.
Pricing for a vendor is a little more difficult. I'd suggest checking out what other people on your planet are selling their stuff for and pricing similarly. Another thing to consider when you're pricing for a vendor - if you waaaay undercut your competition, you're gonna have an empty vendor most of the time, and you won't get many new customers. It's a fine line between being sufficiently stocked and price-gouging, in my opinion.
That being said, I generally sell Stim-B's at 1K per pack and Stim-D/E's at 1250 - this is on Lowca, and I have seen lower and higher prices.

All my stims have fixed prices
1K = StimB
1400 creds = Stim C
1800 creds = Stim D
2500 creds = Stim E
any one pricing higher is greedy

Anyone pricing higher is not greedy, stims are a royal pain in the proverbial to make. 8 different resources then to crate them you need to run crates of your components. Time and effort. I don't sell stims really not worth it, running around looking for class 4 petrochemical for a lousy couple of thou?.Other profs charge a damn site more for a lot less work.
Food being a good example.
So no not greedy

everyone knows most make veggie stims and no need for the class 4, as for timeandeffort, its not any effort at all, it takes 3 components and 2 resources to make Stim Bs thats 4 Schamtics in total to make 1000 of them, sounds like really hard work, You obviously havent got a clue!

Um i sell mine at 41 uses 415 power for 1800 each, and they sell like hotcakes on my vendor, on the bazaar its even more insane. people are willing to pay, then its up to them,.
When they think its too expensive and stop buying, then it would be good to lower them,

On Lowca I sell those same stat Stims on the bazaar for 6k for singles. They sell like crazy. You just have to place them in very busy cities on different planets. For me that means Coronet, Theed and Mos Eisley.

I sell mine for 3k per. I find that gives me a nice balance...they move, but not so fast that restocking is a pain. Folks like that they always find my vendor stocked. Good herbivore meat is difficult to find and a pain to stockpile. With Rangers charging big fees for large quantities of high quality meats, I can't see charging any less.
There is a way to make Adv Chem with only veggies? How do you do that?

not Advanced, veggie refers to the fact u use regualr Chem Rleases, since Herb meat is best saved for Buffs

That's if you have the time and patience to harvest energy and then mess about with things in a factory.

It AAAAAAALLL depends on the server. For a good while on Shadowfire, Stim Bs couldn't break 500 w/o being considered "expensive" ... I sold mine for 800, Cs for 1000 and Ds for 2000. Just depends on what you can get away with on your server. We can't answer this question for you.
