So.. What do people feel is a fair price for a droid with a medical module & a Food/Chem crafting station in it?

I know prices will vary from server to server but I'm thinking of buying one (on Flurry) and was just wondering what other people may have paid for a droid with the same stuff?

Town is supposed to work, as soon as you pass "you have left town XXX" you are not supposed to be able to pull it out (you can store them anyplace).

If you can pull a pet out, outside of camps, not right near or in your house, or outside the town boundaries (after you get the 'you have left town x' message. Please put in a bug report.

Yeah, i noticed a bug on Rori that let me pull out my droid anywhere, Really strange.

As o the batteries question... YES! You will need droid batteries. Droids run low on power after about 20-30 mins. You will no longer be able to heal when it is in that state (it will give you the same message as if yoiu tried to heal in the wild without a droid). There are only 2 ways to continue healing with a droid in a low power state. You either store it, and call it back out again (meaning you need to be in a house, camp, or town) or you need to select the Recharge option from the droid's radial menu to recharge it with a droid battery tht you have in your top level inventory.

i can use my droid anywhere, except cantinas of course *bleh*

its a 2-1b medical droid. my favorite because of older sw insider issues

has a med mod of 95 on it, payed 16k on starsider for it. It can also be used as a food/chem crafting tool. so I can make my stim c's anywhere I choose. very handy.

Question: I've noticed a few medics having droid around them. They are allow you to do damage wound heal outside of hospital and camp right?

What skills / requirement for you to own and operate one? Do you have to be at least a novice doctor or combat medic to have one? I am currently a novice medir with org chem II, First aid I, and Diagn I

Di-Kiem,

There's no skill level for the droids. I got a surgical droid with a Med 4 (65)module and a food/chem crafting station. I *love* it!!! The food/chem crafting station allows me to experiment on meds when I'm not next to the

For reference: I have Org Chem II, First Aid II, Diagn I and Pham I.

I have a question about the regular medical modules. I have an R2 unit with a clothing crafting station and a medical module. I picked up Novice Medic purely *because* of that module being on my droid.

My question is: Is letting me heal as if I was in a hospital *all* he does, or does he also make my medical treatments more effective somehow? I was under the impression he does, but maybe that's just an illusion.

I have a dx-70 tracker droid (floating metal ball with arms) that I had a master droid engineer put a medical module and a food/chemical crafting module. I got him right after I took novice medic and have used him ever since. He allows me to heal wounds anywhere but inside a cantina and experimenting on my crafting while I am running across the planet. Best buy out there. P.S. get a dx-70 if you can, they float so they get around better but keep in mind, dont let him attack and put him away when fighting if possible. Either that or get good with your "Stay" commands.

SueDenim: Nothing will let you heal as well as you can in a Med Center. Droids are supposed to have Med Modules rated from 1-6, but the levels don't make any difference right now. That is supposed to be fixed in the next patch, though. A level 6 module should be like a top Ranger camp in that it should get you closest to the standrad heal bonus of a Hospital.

Even so, the best place to heal will probably always be the Hospital, droid or no droid.

OK, I think I understand now - and, implicitly, having my droid out *in* the hospital would not be adding anything to my effectiveness?

BTW, is there any difference between a Hospital and the smaller Medical Center for this sort of calculation, or are they functionally equivalent?

Dorids are non-addative, or they should be at least. You should always just get the higher bonus.

And to the best of my knowledge, Med Centers, Hospitals (and I think even Houses, but I'm not positive on that last one) are effectively a 1.0 bonus rating, the best in the game for healing/buffing effectiveness.

If all you want one for is medic stuff, then just about any droid will do...since most will hold at least 2 modules.

If you want more bells and whistles you could get a R2 Adv or R3 Adv, since you can get item and data storage (and another module or two) along with food/chem and the med module.
