Oh boy another self-important jerk who wants us to stop buffing the public!
Hey this is a good idea! Everyone stop buffing - except for me that is!
And I LOOOOOVE how he brings us all together with the " Yes the rookies will have there fun for awile - but let them - there buffs will run dry - most of them won't know how to craft good buffs or have the resources to make them like the good doctors do."
So who made YOU a "good" doctor. You didn't get that sparkling poersonality all by yourslef did you?
Hey Fruitcake! I NEVER had a line ot "75 angry people"! Sorry all the other players are such a nuisence for you, why don't you cancel out and go play DOOM!
WAH WAH WAH!!!!!!

and why was it again that we need to be mean to doctors who chose to sit and buff? mabe it is fun for them. every person they buff is one less to bother you right?
he didnt say to be mean to anyone, he suggested a solution to a problem, if u have fun, do it. if u complain about it. dont.

I buff in public all the time and i love doing it. i charge rebels 8k and everyone else 15k. sure i get hate tells pets dropped on me challanges for duels. but I can careless about that. I became a doctor bc I like to help out rebels, and this is the best way i know how. I have buff packs of 950 and 949 power and make them.
If you want to stop public buffing go ahead and stop. thats just like coming to the forums and sayingI am quiting swg bc sony did do this, soI am going to show sony and quit. totally pointless bc it does nothing. it is not going to change anything.
Remeber I am a master doc and have flame blankets, so flame away and i will put out the fire.
GOOD, i like to hear that. People who enjoy buffing publicly SHOULD buff publicly, people who complain about complainers, simple solution. the man says just stop doing something you already dont enjoy. dr's have MANY ways to make money. buffing publicly is just one of them.

I dunno. treating doctors that buff in public as if they are second rate seems a bit mean to me. here is what he wrote.
"Yes the rookies will have there fun for awile - but let them - there buffs will run dry - most of them won't know how to craft good buffs or have the resources to make them like the good doctors do."

That statement is 100% factual and true. A rookie dr doesnt know how to craft as well as a veteran Dr. Point blank. Unless they have done a crafting profession before, they just dont. And a rookie dr doesnt have the money to buy the best resources. Also a true statement. As for rookies having fun buffing the public. i DID have fun as a rookie buffing the public, until i found out i could make more money buffing myself and running the missions myself.
Point blank, if u have fun buffing publicly, (rookie or not) then do it. That statement wasnt mean in any way shape or form. A rookie is never as good as a veteran.

STOP PUBLIC BUFFING!
Stop buffing publicly altogether.....
Buff your friends and guildmates....
Make it near impossible to find a Doc (like the good ol days)....
Problem Solved!
Yes the rookies will have there fun for awile - but let them - there buffs will run dry - most of them won't know how to craft good buffs or have the resources to make them like the good doctors do.
Raise the prices of your buff packs to compensate for the stoppage of public buffing - making it hard for rookies to make a profit buffing publicly.
And go out and enjoy the little content we have hehe......Make the population remember how nice it is to have doctors and how needed we are....
If your stopped and asked for a buff tell them 50K - If they laugh /addignore and go about your business....
In no time people will have no problem paying 50K for a buff and they would be actually thanking you for the oppertunity to pay you for a buff.
(I know alot of you do not public buff anymore....but teach the younger generations of Doc's out there...there is more to SWG than sitting in front of a line of 75 angry people in coronet waiting on your buffs, crying that its taking forever and your prices are insane.
Enjoy the game people.....and let them worry about getting buffed
That is price gouging and is illeagal, opps in business it is.. Also maybe if buf packs had to be made instead of a 4440 doc buying buffs we could charge more too since this woulod drive down the amount of buffing. Seroiusly though I dont find a problem making money, even when we charged 6k for buffs. And the amount of ppl buffing has never been a problem for me, I buff more than I care to now so business is booming plenty of players to buff.
When I am doing my buffing I know I am performing a public service. I price my “full” medical buff set at 18k when done with the poison and decease resisters. I have been on both sides of the buff pack so I am confident in the value of the service I have been providing to the community at large. I feel that for the work, time, and energy that I put into my craft that I charge more than a fair price. I as a Doctor have paid upwards of 20k for a buff myself. When I play on another account and I need a buff all I want is the maximum amount of time and the highest percentage I can get out of it and a short line. /laugh
I frequently go out to kill high-level targets so I want the biggest edge I can get over them. The Doctor and their buff and resistance packs can do that for me. I make a fair amount of credits on my missions when I am on my combat toon. I could care less if the buffs were 30k. As long as they last for three hours and give me the edge I am cool. It is a tool in my arsenal. It is another layer of armor. It is what will allow me to get that last /chargeshot2 in when PvP’ing to help my mates do the dirty on the Rebel scum. /smile
It has great value real and perceived for me. It gives me greater freedom and more security. If someone finds yours or my prices unfair to their sensibility then we are not the Doctor for them. They can always find someone else that is more in their price range. The market is wide and able to bear many products and many price points. I know that they will find what they need with just a little searching. I bargain hunt for what I need and whine and complain when the good resources get up there in price. I just shop till I find what I need at a price that is acceptable to me. Choice is what it is all about choice in the sell and in the buy. If you choose to buy it then you decided that it was that important. If you choose to sell it you are the one that sets the prices. The market does the rest of the work for us.
