only if the module has been installed.

there is a specific food/chem station module that will turn any droid into a crafting station.

No... they are unchanged. Lots of threads on this very topic already. Could save yourself (and us) some time and effort if you checked those ahead before posting.

do surgical droids now heal damage and wounds by themselves, without a need for medical skills? if not, did devs say anything if they **EVER*** will?

thanks

I must say that my surg droid is the best thing I have bought. I not longer need camps or hosps and with the right mod, I can craft everything anywhere I please.

The droid frame does not matter, so only choose a surgical droid if you like the shape, as said the module is all that matters.

If you want cheap get a MSE droid with the same modules.

If you want expensive get a prosot droid with the same modules and some armor. That way it can last in battles, if it gets attacked.

I definately suggest (with the droid permadeath now in place) to go with either a more expensive probot that won't die right out, or a cheap MSE droid that can be sacrificed with little cost. Today I spent 15k on a surgical droid and while in camp a Giant gubber whomped it out iwth one hit. Then, if you can beleive it, some schmuck came along and killed the gubber. I couldn't even exact my wrath and vengence for my lost droid.

I paid $16k for my surgical droid with the following attributes:

  • food/chem crafting station

  • level 115 rating

  • worship personality chip

This has without question been one of my best purchases as a doctor. Now I can make great meds anytime/anywhere. I can also heal about anywhere.

However, as the above posts note, I recommend only pulling your droid out in safe areas and when you're not overt/TEF. I lost my last $15k one because I was TEF and someone shot it while I was healing others. Just be careful with it and you'll find it a great purchase.

If you want something just to run with you so you can do minor healing/create meds, get an MSE mouse droid.

Just wait till your first group fight with social mobs. I bought a 30k surgical droid with everything, and it died in 3 hits from an add. 3 hits for around 90 pts each. Thanks SOE.

I was thinking that some time ago the Devs posted an update that would theoretically allow surgical droids to heal damage for you. Was I just drunk that day or something? I just (finnally) got a factory, and then got past the factory bug so I could get my components to build that bloody adv. droid brain. I was hoping that maybe something would work as intended, but alas I am sadly disappointed again. Is there some secret, or was I just completely out of my mind when I read those update notes, or was it theoretically there and just still broken???

Quite frustrated...

I have a question about these. I made one last night and then transfered i to my partner. He was unable to get a program option to program this type of droid. Are DE's the only ones that can program these surgical droids? Not that i mind doing it buy some of my customer's perfer to train there own droids.
