*sigh* Right now, the basic purpose is the same as every other droid. And that purpose is to look pretty.

That's every droid's "basic purpose". Now what it actually can do depends on the Modules installed. If it got a Medical Module, then it can let a trained Medic heal wounds outside of hospitals or camps. The use of it may change in the future, but for now, that's about it.

Well, mine sure doesn't want to tend my wounds.

I'm guessing this means they -don't- actually heal wounds on their own, as we were all hoping?

I had heard surgical droids would perform slow passive wound healing similar to sitting in a hospital. What testing did you do to determine your surgical droid did not want to tend your wounds?

I've been sitting next to my brand new surgical droid for 30 minutes ... he hasn't touched a wound yet =(

Yea, I did what Jabetha did. He doesn't have a "tend wounds" command or anything either.

I'm stuck at work, so can't test any of it myself. Do either of you have a doctor friend that you can get to group with you and hang idle? Maybe the passive effect only works for Doctors or Combat Medics?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but did you install a medical module or not? Reason I ask is that it was also rumored that Surgical droids may now have inate medical module 6. It's possible installing an additional one could cause the medical feature to not work at all.

Great idea with the doctor group idea - I'll see if any doctors I know are online. I didn't install a medical module (or any module for that matter), as I also heard they were supposed to get some innate medical ability.

Come to think of it, if you need a doctoraround to get the 2-1B to tend wounds... yea, that would be pointless at best. I can see Sony adding a feature like that. haha.......

God I'm glad I'm almost a master weaponsmith too.

I put a level II medical module in a surgical droid, and it has a medical capability of .65. So maybe it increases the medical mod you put in by 2 or something.

Can anyone tell me if you can use surgical droids as an alternative for a crafting station?

Thanks!
