Thread: The Path of the Jedi: Reckoning of Effort

I was one of the hologrinders. After my Holo went silent (on the 2nd holo) I ground out 8 more masters for a total of 23 in my toons lifetime. AssumingI understand the system, (silent holo = 5 hidden proffs) that puts me in group 2 with 3 earned branches. Sounds good to me, I'm perfectly satisfied with that.


The part that is confusing me ison /check "You have a Surge of the force". Since then I finnished Rebel park, Honor, Hero, and borvos quests (no badge for Borvo). I now have earned 77 badges, which is everything available to a Colonel in Rebel Faction, save the corvette, and a few races. I am still "Surge" status. -Many of my masters came before badges went live.-


After reading several posts here about players going from "faint pull" to "glowing" after 1 badge I am concerned that something is wrong. Does this sound like the proper progresion, or should I be prepaired to not receive any credit for my hologrinding ?

i loged on today and i had a surge of force...


i got nym's badge...


then i was glowing...


dose this mean i need to wate awhile b4 i get the old man to come to me?or do i fall in somewere with the player A & B thing?

The old way SWG lied to the players and rised the number from 5 to 8 ect... and didn't tell anyone about it....


PEOPLE, WHO'S TO SAY THAT AFTER GROUPS 2 OR MAYBE 3 GO TO THE VILLAGE THEY WANT KEEP THE OTHERS OUT A FEW WEEKS "JUST" TO KEEP THE JEDI pop DOWN....... this means you think you'll be waiting 4 weeks be you may end up waiting 3 months {and thats just to talk to the old guy}. For get this, i can't put up with the lies. bye to two more acc

you did it afterwards, you did it after pub 10 was updated in your system

I'm not certain what is so indefinite about what he said. You holo-grinded enough, you get a visit from the old guy. You qualify given the new systems requirements, you get a visit from the old guy. If you do *NOTHING* more, but just sit there in the wilderness waiting for the old geezer to show up but you *don't* qualify except by being in groups 1-4, then you will wait a potentiallylong time untilthose that have qualified aren't over running the village.


It seems very simple to me. I get it. And I didn't even grad-gee-ate high school.

Totaly agreed whit Mike!!! I have collectors edition to... AND 3 GOGGLES LOL!!! I play since over one year and did3holo! after the third i stop that stupid grinding because i love the commando prof... Also have Tkm and love this to and i did this1 bychoice(not and holo)! Have done tatoine hero, exa'r, rebel theme park, jedi ruines... AND PLAYED THE GAME IN THE WAY THAT WE SHOULD PLAY! only feel a faint sense of the force!!!(Damn i dont know how i feel rigth now, but defenitly not good...)

jedi everywhere is inevitable!!!!!!!!! its the game this patch is damage controll tbh which is just **edit**.


My suggestion is they get rid of the theme park of jabas palace and make it a bounty hunter shrine so everyone that joins starwars galaxies has a choice of 3 ways to go 1.Light jedi 2.Dark jedi 3.Ultimate bounty hunter.


All of these have their own private quests and take the same time to get there and both have huge rewards and all are equal in strength and skill so we could all have a 3 way fight.

ohh and us newer players arnt asking for jedi we are asking to be at least able to see a clear path on how to get there so we have goals no more of the guessing games so then we can plan how to achieve our goals.

You automatically qualify. Hang out in the wilderness and you will be visited in a short period of time. The old man will visit you in the wilderness and send you on a quest.





I unlocked on 25 proffessions, just after publish 9,on the eclipse server.Yesterday from the moment the server was on, I was online for about 10 hours. Been sitting in the wilderness have gone about my bussiness, killingall the Force crystal hunters in the crystal cave, still no old man.


Today is the next day, sitting in the wild again...... and again nothing!! Am I bugged?? I unlocked I should be visited by the old man right??


Have been playing this game over a year now. Have enjoyed much, seen much. And now wish to continue my journey the force has set out for me.....

I am not going to complain about this new Jedi system,I am bummed that if I am wanting to do this new system I am going to have to wait for all the Hologrinders to go before me for this new Jedi system, b/c I liked the professions I was and didn't think it fun or logical to grind through who know's how many professions to unlock it. That isn't fun to me so I didn't do it. I wanted to play my character to have fun. Also my play time is very minimal lately and now with this time limit for quests Jedi I think just went out the window for me


Anyhow all I ask is I'll give up my beta test of Jump to Lightspeed since I did go to fanfest and am supposidly garanteed an in for the beta test for that, to get my My Current Character Force Sensitive & FS Slot opened.


I think this is a simple request....don't think it will even be given a 2nd thought, hell not even a 1st thought but thought I'd ask....couldn't hurt...LMAO

I would like to know where you heard that, as I can'tfind it, in any case Th is probably talking about those that unlocked their Jedi.

To finish my wonderful day SOE manages to make it just that much better, and oh I will continue to give you all my money, and that is not the cancel subscription button I'm contempleting. I just love today...
