The funny thing (sarcastic)is: There is no one in the village..... A jedi friend of mine checked it and there is no one except another jedi wandering around trying out some mission.

My best guess is that the village / old mansystem had some bugs and they did not let anyone in the village yesterday and maybe when servers come back up people get visited.......

we'll have to wait just a little longer I guess.

But since we all, unlocked or not, have waited so long for the oppertunity do getsome force in our character...... what is another day ortwo.

Every houris too long somewill say.... I say just do some stuff with your friends. Go out PvP or do something you haven't done. Talk to some silly NPC's in search of a quest.... What ever. But don't sit around and wait for some miracle to happen. That certainly won't help the state of mind your in.....

I unlocked between 9 and 10 so I am in the same situation as everyone.

Hope too see you guys in the game, in the village or outside of it.... and if your enjoying the game as much anymore. Pick up another game.....

Its been more exciting to read the posts then to play the game. I dont mind waiting a few days for something I have been trying to achive since june. If i get pissed ill log out and play BFV or some other first person shooter so many options to get upset over an old man.

I do not see the problem with this patch? Thier is alot of complaining about something that we all new was comming.

1. The system that it has been changed to is exactly what they said it would be.

2. Everyone is getting a significant amount of Credit for Holo Grinding. The interprretation of which is based of the number of holo's need to open your force sensative slot. This is far more generous then I hoped for personally.

3. The old Man visiting. They never said that he would come instantly so a bit of waiting for that to happen is hard but not horrible.

4. They had to create a gated system to control the number of people who enter into the village. Thier is no possible way that area could be enjoyed with as many people that would have crowded that area.

The system they created gave priority to those who are the closest to the ultimate goal...they had to come up with a system this one fits as well as any that they could have come up with.

5. This is important this new system does not make you a jedi automatically if you get an invite to the village....it still requires Quest/Grinding as is timed so to keep jedi a lengthy process to achieve. Except now after all is said and done, luck will no longer play and issue and effort and enjoyment of the system will be the payoff in theend.

There are a few flaws with the system but hardly as bad as any of you are making out to be.

Please be respectfull and be patient for your chance as we all have to be....

You know, when I read that youadded the needed professions and neverreleased that information publically, I think you opened yourself up to ALOT of people who feel like they have been totally cheated and lied to. I for one now dont care about becomming a jedi, grinding professions/badges or this game in any way anymore. One less carrot chaser here.. you better hope that other SWG players desire to chase the jedi will overcome thier anger at your attempt to keepthem payingto chase that jedi dream. JTL has no chance to save this terrible short sighted poorly designed game. Just my opinion.

I just got a deeper look into myself and in the situation. Now i knw why i feel so bad about the new changes:

In the times before Pub 9, it was my decision to work towards Jedi or not, beside the fact of raisin professions to 8, it was pretty easy to do.

In the times between Pub 9 and 10 it was pretty unsure what to do and what not to do, it was not real possible to make any decission, but at least it was meant as a short period of time. I considered it as: "Becomming a Jedi is broken"

Now, Pub10 is alife, and we have the fact, i just cant do anything to become a Jedi, i am prisoner of my past. And ist not anymore my decision to make changes to the situation, that is what i hate!

If there were anything i could do to speed up things, or atleast i coudl decide to dont do it, i might feel much better. Give us a possibility to gain access to group 1 by doin any nonses or whatever and dont let us just sit around and hate the situation!

I would like to know where you heard that, as I can'tfind it, in any case Th is probably talking about those that unlocked their Jedi.

To finish my wonderful day SOE manages to make it just that much better, and oh I will continue to give you all my money, and that is not the cancel subscription button I'm contempleting. I just love today...

I was referring to the post that started this thread...

The old man will visit you when you have completed the requirements of the new path to becoming a Jedi. While this new path is still a secret, it is no where near as daunting as the holo-professions method. We have made additional provisions for those that worked partially through the old system. Here is how you will be allocated a visit based on the old system:

You will be granted access to the village…

Automatically qualify

Group 1

Group 2

Group 3

Group 4

When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.

What I take this to mean is:

No (or 1) profession(s) remaining: Automatically qualify

Glowybefore publish 10 went live: Automatically qualify

is it possible to get an explaination on why peeps who have Automatically qualify have to w8 1-3 days fair enought you dont want to bog the server down and what to ease them thoughbut why did it not start straight away??? i dont know anyone or read any where that someone has had a visit...

and tbh i thought it would of made sence to start this during the week due to the traffic will be quite low during the day and in the evenings will be higher fair enough however if it do start at the weekend then thats the time when the server's is gonna be at its highest point of traffic.

I was one of the hologrinders. After my Holo went silent (on the 2nd holo) I ground out 8 more masters for a total of 23 in my toons lifetime. AssumingI understand the system, (silent holo = 5 hidden proffs) that puts me in group 2 with 3 earned branches. Sounds good to me, I'm perfectly satisfied with that.

The part that is confusing me ison /check "You have a Surge of the force". Since then I finnished Rebel park, Honor, Hero, and borvos quests (no badge for Borvo). I now have earned 77 badges, which is everything available to a Colonel in Rebel Faction, save the corvette, and a few races. I am still "Surge" status. -Many of my masters came before badges went live.-

After reading several posts here about players going from "faint pull" to "glowing" after 1 badge I am concerned that something is wrong. Does this sound like the proper progresion, or should I be prepaired to not receive any credit for my hologrinding ?

Thanks in advance

The reason you'r egetting you feel a surge is becasue the /checkforcestatus command is linked to the new system of gaining access to the village. The new system is tied to badegs earned. And before yougo off on you're rant that you have more than 75 badges you probably do not have the right ones to cause your foce status to reach its peak. As TH said under this new pub both people who meet the holo-grind requirnemntes and those who meet the new badge standards will get an immediate invite to the village. So if you are worred about waiting then simply get the badges you are lacking. The badges that were required for TC2 were one mastered profession, a certin number and type of POI badges which I don't rermember so just do them alll, the warren (both), Nym's badge, Jabba's badge, and either the reb or imp themepark badge.

Thos are what was required for a visit in TC2. It may have changed although I doubt it since my checkstatus gives me feel the inner glow the force is with you. I have been playing a eyar and have never holowhored. I know for sure I did one holo prof which happend to be what I was going for anyway. But I have never paid any attention to grinding after that. So I assume then that the badge requirnemnts have not changed. You may have an issue getting all of these badges quickly since word is out about them and now the warren is over run on many servers.

You don't need to see my signature. This is not the signature you are looking for. Move along.

Well, I didn't hologrind at all - in fact, I've never owned a holocron, except for a Sith Holo that I keep as a decoration. I've done 5 professions in the year I've been playing - Tailor, Merchant, Marksman, Teras Kasi, and Artisan, and there's no way that I hit all 5 holo-professions by blind luck. But, I've done all the POIs and have enough other badges to be "one with the force", so I qualify under the new system.

Well, which is it?

To be clear:

Lets Say Player A has completed 32 professions before publish 10.

So player A and B are in the group of "automatically qualify" to get visit by old man right away (1-3 days) and no need to wait ?

Could you please please clear this up?

thanks

The "glow" is only needed for beeing invited by the old man, no glow, no old man. So the old man will visiti you some time....

How many credits you will get (free force skills), depends on how many Holocron Professions you have mastered.

Can someone please explain the "/che" command? When I type it, it says "you feel an inner glow, the force is with you". What are some of the other messages say and how do they relate to how much credit you have?
