Hi Fraiser,
The old man will only come to you on the starter planet like Corellia, Naboo or Tat.
I did this on TC2 so I know this works.
Have fun....

Thunderheart, I have a simple question for you.
True or False:
#1) ANYONE who uses /CHECKFORCESTATUS and receives the "Inner Glow" description is entitled to a visit by the old man.
#2) If someone has the "Inner Glow" description and they go and "Hang Out" in the wilderness, how long are they expected to wait for the old man to show up?
Simiple Questions, should receive simple answers.
Thanks.

Um... Being one of those that didn't "holo-grind" and beinghappy with the situation as it is now as it will make working toward Jedi interesting rather than tedious should I ever decide to do that.... I'd just like to say...
All these non-holo-grinders complaining that *they* should get rewarded for playing the game as intended is just hilarious to me... I mean rolling on the floor laughing my caboose off funny...
Um.... If you are having trouble seeing why its so funny... let me explain...
This is how the frig'n game is played!
Gee'z... continue to play the game as it was intended and be rewarded for doing so. Sheesh.

Yeah? And how many were there between 8pm-12am PST? Take that number and multiply it by 100. That is how many people would descend upon The Village if there were no orderly line. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.
Just look at how many people have contributed to this FIFTY FOUR page thread. Doesn't the sheer size of this thread tell you how many people are glowing? Only a small minority of players actually post/read the forums, so there are substantially MORE people who are glowing than the ones who post here.

WHAT LOAD ARE YOU TRYING TO BALACE BY PUTTING PEOPLE INTO GROUPS?
There are a whopping 4 people in the village on kettemoor.
I thought the point of putting people in "groups" to see the old guy was to limit the crowd on the server. I think there's some other reason for the "virtual valve".

Well, well, well.

Bravo Devs, you screwed up again !
Explain me what's your obsessions with artificially preventing your customers from enjoying the new content you're making ?
Really, couldn't you see beforehand that this group access to Aurilla idea was plain stupid and would angry the discriminated people who have to wait ? As if it wasn't a sufficient enough reward for hologrinders to get free branches, now they also get privileged access to the new content.
Starwars Galaxies pretends to be a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, but by encouraging and rewarding the mindless grind, you're making it just another Massively Multiplayer Online Game (forget anything about Role-Playing, there's no story to play a role in in this game), without any special attractions to it, save for the Starwars name.
[RANT MODE OFF]
Now, I have a few questions that needs answering, but first let me start by stating my current situation :
- I mastered 3 professions (Artisan, Weaponsmith and TKA), of which one was a holoprof (TKA). So, if I understand the old system correctly, I have 7 professions remaining (unless I'm really lucky and the 2 other profs were requirements too).
- I did all POIs, Jabba's, Nym's and Rebels' Theme Parks, the Warren, I held the daily record for the tracks of Mos Espa and the Agrilat Swamp. Of all these things, I only did 1 badge on Endor, Talus' badges, the Warren and I finished the Rebel TP (which I had started a long time ago) after it was discovered that was the new way to become Force Sensitive. Everything else was done long before, just for the fun of discovering the game
- When I enter the /che command, I get the "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you." message.
Questions :
What do you mean by "Complete Path" ? Is it all the way up to Padawan ? If so, I feel sorry for anyone that's not in the automatic crowd because that'd mean they'd have to wait an awful amount of time before having a chance to enjoy the new content.
If a player hasn't ever mastered any profession but gets the "Glowy" message, does he get the visit from the Old Man in a reasonable time (less than a week), or does he have to wait for the groups to have gone through the village ? I.E. Is he in the "automatic" crowd ? I'm sorry TH but your precedent message hasn't made that clear for me.
I'm not interested in "answers" from fellow players, I want a real clear answer from TH or one of the Devs.
PS : English isn't my native language and I'm still able to make efforts to write it correctly, it'd be a good thing (comprehension wise for us non-native englsih speakers) if everyone did it. Thanks.

Can someone please explain the "/che" command? When I type it, it says "you feel an inner glow, the force is with you". What are some of the other messages say and how do they relate to how much credit you have?
go check the FAQ on the test center boards (not In Testing). It will show you the 6 different messages and give a lot more info. The message has no relation to your credit, that is a secret and mysterious math equation that according to TH's original post, we will never know until we finally get to the trainer in the villiage.

Question: How do you win a game when the goalposts are always moved?
I have participated in this game for over a year and this whole load of bull is far far too late.
This is quite possibily one of the must unrewarding experiences i have encountered while playing a game. I have mastered six professions by playng the game as its meant to be played over the past year and my whole effort over that past year has been reduced to zero.
Like the title says on the main page "Immerse yourself in Star Wars in a way you have only dreamed!" Well I love Star Wars and the only thing i've dreamed about is becoming a Jedi the same as many many other people who play this game. Yet its designed only to allow the lucky few. How do I get the experience I've dreamed. I've been playing since beta 3, thats a long time and I'm very patient but this is becoming beyond a joke and a very costly one at the same time.
Your system clearly rewards people more who have exploited the system and not played the game as intended and the people who have played this game as intended and for a very long time like myself have been pushed all the way down the pecking ordered with our dream further beyond our reach.
I simply can't understand why Jedi has to be so rare and unattainable for people. Its far more immersive to see Jedi running around than seeing Swordsman or Fencers. The best thing i've ever saw in this game was all the JediatTheed duelling on TC2 it actually looked like Star Wars.

false, read what TH said
If you read what TH said, it suggests that those who unlocked with the new system (glowy before publish 10) qualify for an automatic visit, as well as those who grinded 32 professions prior to publish 10 going live. Of course, this would be much less ambiguous if someone in a position to give us a definite answer would do so...
