One of the saddest parts of all this for me, is this is my FIRST MMORPG. I have always had qualms with being forced to buy a full priced game then spend fees every month in addition for the priveledge of even playing it. My roomie was a big Everquest fan and got me the game and first month free for my birthday last year to get me involved in it. I gave it a try and found it fun. After almost a year of NIGHTLY playing...I pause for question after the latest announcement especially. I am NO stranger to multiplayer games and remember setting up NetwareLite (arcnet) networks to go head to head when Doom First came out. In all my time playing every LAN party monster multiplayer game, have I EVER seen such a shoddy, broken, buggy product...and what makes it worse those were FREE to play multiplayer...I'm actually PAYING $15 bucks a month ($30 actually since I have 2 characters) in the hopes that not only would the game evolve but would actually "WORK" right. Free vs $15 per month....working, playable, bugfree (mostly) for no cost other than the game vs.no justification for member fees being paid.

I love StarWars, I'm not exactly ready to jump boat...tho close. See how things go after this thread sinks in with the suits...but what are we paying for exactly when there are better products with Free play out there and still coming? I know this, without a doubt if I DO stop playing this game two things will happen. 1) I will be saddened at the lost potential and destruction of a potentially wonderful story based game. and 2) I, without a doubt, will NEVER buy or fund ANYTHING from SOE again!
Several friends in RL have already jumped ship on this never to return...can't they see how they are destroying something that could be so good? After a year of SOE BS...guess I'm the most stubborn (like most of you) out of my circle of friends...or the most nieve for believing they may pull a rabbit out...better be soon.

I agree with the many posters here who are extremely disenchanted with the whole development process. Promises, promises...yet PvP and GCW still suck and now won't be adequately addressed until after the expansion which will hit the stores just in time for your Christmas shopping!
Blech.Getting really tired of this pattern of tease and drop, tease and drop. Should never have pushed all this crap out of beta 3 when we, the testers, were all screaming at how broken the game is. And it's still broken, over a year after launch, and the MAJOR issues that need to be addressed (mainly, PvP) are being pushed even further back. It'll be 2 years post-launch before the BASIC game systems are refined. That's a joke.
How many old-time subscribers are you willing to toss away? I had canceled once, then recently rejoined because I heard of the revamp that was forthcoming. Now I'm being told I'll have to wait another half-year or so. Sure, I'll just sit around and wait for the devs to fix the systems that should have been fixed FIRST. This game is about the GCW yet you're making it the least emphasized fix of all.
I'm severely disheartened by this news. I had allowed myself some New Hope after the previous announcements, but now the Empire Strikes Back, eh? Who cares of the Jedi Returns, I may not be around to notice.
Thanks again for feeding us a load of bunk for the last several months, to keep us hanging on. Wish you guys would stop talking out both sides of your mouth, it's pathetic.

SOE is doing everything possible they can to push Combat Balance. If you wnat to complain do not blame SOE all they do is run the servers that is it and making sure players get what they want. The real developers work at Lucas Arts which are a bunch of you know what. Who even ILM hates. SOE, keep up trying your best to get Lucas Arts to see the light. And, it is Lucas Arts which now totally screwed up the timeline. And, oh because it is Star Wars lots of Jedi and Padawans are way overpowered it is why ILM and Lucas Arts do not get along. ILM the official word of Star Wars Lucas Arts the expanded *edit* of Star Wars. They wanted to make this game for gammers not for true Star Wars fans. I now do not know one true Star Wars fan who plays this gae just gamers. When WoW hits I won't be surprised to see the streets of Coronet deserted. Tere are 5368 technical mistakes from movie to game. Thrawn does not exsist. Mara Jade was on Coronet according to George Lucas. She was never in contact with Darth Vader. Mara Jade is the only so called "expanded ***edit*** universe" which exsists. She was seen in Episode VI Revenge of the Jedi, sorry I hate using it's changed name. Just to appeal for more audience. LucasArts does not MAKE games. They publish them. Developers like SOE, Bioware, etc. make the games.

You guys gotta feel a bit sorry for Thunderheart though right? I mean, how many of us that actually have (or had) jobs get a promotion and all the *NEAT* things that go along with it?
