Let me try clear something up, for those of you who get the message "you feel an inner glow. the force is with you" and hav'nt done any extream hologrinding. you are at just the begining, if you have done 3 holocrons you get 1 branch unlocked for free. it could take you some time till you get a visit from the old man. dont wait around for him, it could be more then a week. unless.... you have only 1 "hidden" profession to go or unlock pre pub10. it could still take them people 2 more days for a visit. I hope this helps.

Mindblowingly disappointing. Why do I still play this game when everytime I login or SOE puts out a patch or publish, I feel like I'm getting kicked in the nads? When is the last time you feel SOE has delivered on one of their promises? I'm giving them one last chance with JTL. Not that my quitting will amount to a hill of beans, but I just can't take this abuse much longer. The village of Aurilia sounded like they were finally going to add some fun, deep, soloable content to this game that could keep me occupied for a long time to come. I don't give a rat's ass about being a jedi -- I want those force-sensitive trees and the quest content! Yet here we are, ranting about how cheated we feel yet again. Why? Because after the seemingly endless wait, we have another seemingly endless wait ahead. How could this be worth delaying the combat revamp? If I understand the gated system for Aurilia (and mind you I don't -- how could I with all the mixed info about the different entry groups, rotating phases of the town, new and old paths, unlocker and grinder concessions, and differences between unlockers and current qualifiers in the new path, all on top of a poorly defined wait period before even being able to get started), it sounds like this is just going to be more of the same end-game content I was looking forward to with DWB, the geo lab, the corvette, etc, but that similarly turns out to be all but completely inaccessible.
Oh well. Maybe the WoW stress test will keep me entertained while my SWG main picks his nose in the wilderness for a week waiting for the old man to show up and steal my milk money. Now that's good gameplay!

Lets say Player A has completed 32 professions before publish 10.
Player B has met all the requirements of the new path before publish 10.
i had 6 pro mastered before i did my first holo,
finished my first holo started on my second, then went to my third and it went silent, i then mastered 2 more professions meaning i have done 10 altogether.
when i logged in when the server reset after publish 10 was released,
my question, is do i go into one of these groups or do i qualify automatically because i went glowy as soon i logged in and types /che?

Is there any chance we will be able to know how our professions were picked for us? I think this would be a really fun Friday Feature.

can someone please tell me why you are all being complete idiots? who cares how long it takes to be visited? i feel a surge of the force within me, and i'm happy with that. i'm gonna master medic, and do nyms badge and hopefully i'll glow. i'm okay with just waiting to be visited. why cant anyone else be happy? u guys are idiots if ur complaining. YOU ARE GETTING WHAT YOU WANTED! BE HAPPY WITH IT!

Ok, I just wanted to ADD my 2 cents.
Dev's I'm sry that all these people are angry with you, unfortunately I am amoung the scores and scores of people that are not very satisfied with the results of your plans.
I am a post 9 unlocker and wasted many hours today online in the wilderness, afraid to go AFK for fear that for some odd reason I might miss the "Old Man" coming and visiting me. I was afraid to ride a speeder for fear that I might out run the "Old Man" and he would be lost forever. I was afraid to attack creatures for fear that I might in advertantly kill the "Old Man" somehow. I was even afraid to log off for fear that at the last possible second the "Old Man" might appear and I would miss him. This waiting is honestly the worst thing I have ever experienced. I fear that my Unlock message was somehow a bug and that the "Old Man" will not visit me for weeks, if even at all.
Your idea, though somewhat clever, was very misguided. We have gone from a system of people playing, and I'll admit sometime enjoying the active effort of the grind, to mindless screen staring.
I waited all day to play through the Village and finally after nearly a year of playing/grinding to get to enjoy this aspect of the game. And yet all of today went to waste. And after being so overjoyed that I unlocked my jedi post 9, I am saddend and very disheartend to see that I did not get my visit from the "Old Man" and wasted an entire day of potential enjoyment.
I enjoy this game, however, I believe if not for the Star Wars name it is quite possible that I might have left this game long ago.

I unlocked post-9, and according to your words of wisdom, I qualify for an automatic visit by the Old Man to begin by quest.

This is what i don't understand. Most of the posts are something a 5 yr old kid would do. As a matter of fact my kid acts better. Is it necessary to complain about who, what and why? Yes we all pay the same amount and yes we have the right to vote but what you can't do is cry about the changes when you knew they were coming out almost a year ago. Everyone will get their turn. I personally am a weekend player and have no force at all. When i'm ready to go down that path i will. Until then i will play this game in stride. As for the rest of ya'll...go play madden for a week or 2 and calm down.

did u add that earlier>? hmmm.. well im done my whine... i stayed up all sat. night until reboot on sun. morning. Got a few hours sleep then got back to grinding; didn't finish til monday morning... again -> I got up after only a few hours sleep in hope to complete at least one additional prof (number 31 infact). Finished "ranger" at about 12am tuesday monring and stayed up til patch. I have been sitting in the wilderness since -> (that's right... i haven't been to sleep since monday..)... so no sense in whinning... there is 54 pages of posts... only people that read them (if any) are us... ecspecially since most of the devs stopped responding at around 5pm (th's last post at 7:33pm). Let's try and have a quite night at least... I enjoyed the comments hours ago.. now I can't separate who said what -> all the same s*h*i*t*...
