I just want to ease my mind:
I did a lot of testing of P10 for you on TC and TC2. The 'Force is with' me in live. You posted that you have gated the village so that 'everyone has fun'. My best in-game friend (lucky one, he unlocked after doing only 12 professions) send me a tell yesterday, telling me about the village and that he is able to do all quests and that there are ONLY, he emphasized, ONLY Jedi running around, no Unlockers.
So there must be a problem with the old man who is not coming to anyone!!!!!
I just thought WOW,, the village is empty, so why can't I just do it. If all those Jedi who are doing the quests for the items count towards unlockers I know why nobody of us glowing players was visited by the old man. It may be because the syste is messed up.

due to all the posts you realize you all suck. I am a launch day player, over 110 badges, im tired of waiting, i want my slot NOW. Get your heads out of your arses and take care of your clients.
And while youre at it,make the game more enjoyable all around, quit releasing broken patches on launch days, and watch the *edit* star wars movies. I'm tired of this takes x numbers of guys to kill something that dies in one hit in the movies xxx number of time to kill. I'd really love to speak to one of you devs in rl... A show of wits if you will. But you all hide behind your titles and are scared to speak man to man. You're clueless. I'm so upset right now, im this close to telling my whole guild to pull, which you *edit* would give a *edit* less about. Until youre entire base is forced back to pen and paper rpg's.

UPDATE:
I slammed the devs in an earlier post.. I WAS WRONG.
I noted that i need to do nyms misions... when i did, glowing.. so DO the BADGES,.

ok, im not even really pissed at the patch. im just merely looking for some sort of answer just like most of the rest of us.
but whats stupid of the small portion of people who have posted on this thread is, when they say that they should go 1st just because they grinded.
Grinders:
YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN COMPENSATED FOR YOUR GRINDING. FREE UNLOCKS FOR BRANCHES SAVES YOU HOURS/DAYS/WEEKS OF TIME INSTEAD OF QUESTS.
i didnt start playing until after pub9. so obviously, i was not able to do any holo profs. but i am still glowing. which is supposed to mean i am eligible to be met by the old man.
us 'non-unlockers' and non-grinders are only wondering if theres a different entry system thats going on for those that did not, or didnt get to hologrind at all.
its a simple question to be answered without all the idiotic replies from other hologrinders being pissed off because they werent visited the 1st minute they joined after the server came up. i'll admit, when i want to be a "power gamer" i can be. and had i started before the holocrons were silent i would probably have jedi by now. but to hear all these petty excuses to complain about a day or 2 wait for an old man. you just need to shut the f*ck up. even if you did 2 holos you're ahead of all of us non grinded people by weeks to months. thats your damn compensation. if you dont like it quit. i'm not a patient person either. but the things some of you are saying are worthy of a /slap in real life.
dont forget @ssholes. for every 1 free branch unlock you get, thats somewhere around 3 weeks to a month or more of time you dont have to spend driving around dath looking for specific sith to kill, disks to find, people to capture, things to use/craft.
thats all i have to say. before, i thought that the community of SWG were more mature than the previous community i was involved in(Counter-strike) but after seeing some of the posts here. i see almost no difference between the 12 year olds in cs, and the grown working ADULTS here. (there are many exceptions to that last statement.)

I PLAYED THIS GAME SINCE LAUNCH, I HAVE MASTERED 31 PROF'S AND OPENED MY SLOT, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TALK TO AN NPC TODAY AND SPEND MY FEW HOURS A DAY OF PLAYING TIME CREATING MY JEDI, NOT STANDING AROUND IN THE WILD OR DOING MORE MISSIONS, OR GETTING MORE BADGES, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO CREATE MY JEDI AND CREATE MY SECOND CHARACTER AS A MERCHANT SO THAT I CAN STILL SELL MY CRAFTED ITEMS. NOT TO MENTION I HAVE TO REDO MY CRAFTING PROF ON THE SECOND CHARACTER BECAUSE YOU LIED TO US ABOUT HOW MANY PROFESSIONS WE NEEDED TO MASTER. BECAUSE MY MAIN GETS REVAMPED AS THE JEDI AND INSTEAD OF THE WAY IT WAS WITH THE SECOND CHARACTER BEING THE JEDI, WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE CHANGED.

OMG you ppl made me sick i cant believe this crap im hearing!!!! alls i hear is "omg you guys suck im quitting blah blah blah" i mean c'mon cut them some slack they are busy ppl working their asses off to make us happy and you ppl dont understand also i dont expect TH to respond anytime soon either he's prob busy as well. and ok they dont always do things right but no one is perfect and of course we have waited but you know what i dont care i think its worth it. lol like i said before all of you ppl quiting good get the hell out so we can enjoy the game!!!!

i have been playing this game since about 2-3 weeks affter launch.
and the whole time all i have wanted to do was become jedi. i did the grinding, 18 profs total, slowed down abit when the pub 10 changes were confirmed.
i dont min like a 3 day wait or even a week wait to START my quests
what i do mind is if i have to wait another MONTH to START the quests
quests wich take a long time as is
then only to have to jedi grind.
i just dont want a real long wait time i dont mind a week or two.
i dont think the people in group 4 should have to wait more then 2-3 weeks
its not fair to release a publish to half the server then make the other half wait a month to use the same publish.
make more then one village if you have to on a diffrent planet like dantooine. and send half the people to dantooine instead of dath.

I don't understand how can you change the number of proffesions and not tell. WE ARE PAYING YOUR SALARY! I'm never gonna buy another game from SOE you are people without respect. With my 24 profs i will probabily be in the second group, cause i didn't know we had to master 8PROFs

Iwas rather dissapointed that I was not immediately glowing and felt a bit like following a lot of others and having a tantrum, but I think to be fair we should give patch 10 a couple of days. There is a reason that everyone isnt going to the village in the same day. And as far as I have seen TH did NOT say weeks/months for anyone, it is other people that are assuming this. I say again lets give this a couple of days, most of us have been patient this far surely we can do this?
The only thing I feel is truly unfair is that the grinders are being rewarded first when it has been admitted thiswas ruining the game.
I feel we are a step closer to what we need TH, please dont prove me wrong.
