honestly YOUR problem is that you think I am talking about one specific part of the p10 when I am talking about the overall NEGATIVE effect this publish has had on several loyal customers that SOE doesn't even deserve anymore!

Y'know, when I first learned about this revamp, I was kind of worried that the in game economy would crash. I just figured that everyone would stop doing their professions (which keeps the economy going)- and everything would come to a screeching halt.

Now the economy is the least of my worries. I'm thinking that in a few weeks- there won't be anyone left on any of the servers to actually PLAY SWG . Sounds like you have done a great job at really annoying your CUSTOMER. Remember us? Yeah...the people that play this game?

The level of lack of consideration for your veteran players astounds me- and then to put out a publish and not allow the people on the server to access the content due to "traffic" concerns? No excuse. You have a test center. USE IT. If it's not ready to be released to the gaming population- DONT RELEASE it. Explain what you are doing- and FIX IT. That is why we pay you isn't it? I just don't get the logic at SOE sometimes. I really am baffled.

You must be banking an awful lot on JTL.

I know you have a hard job as Developers. I know you can't please everyone all of the time. But for pete's sake...just think about what you are doing and use some common sense. I'm sorry for the rant. I dont know if it even makes sense- but I feel a bit better.

WHAT LOAD ARE YOU TRYING TO BALACE BY PUTTING PEOPLE INTO GROUPS?

There are a whopping 4 people in the village on kettemoor.

I thought the point of putting people in "groups" to see the old guy was to limit the crowd on the server. I think there's some other reason for the "virtual valve".

Ok, 52 pages of posts and still not one that says they have seen this old man. Very odd way of monitoring traffic I would say.

YOU DON'T **edit**ING GET IT DO YOU! THEY SAID THE NEW SYSTEM WOULD NOT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING THAT INVOLVED GRINDING. I BELIEVE THAT for the Grinders that did unlock they should already have there jedi. No point for the quest for them cause they deserve to havethere jedi after grinding for so many hours wasting so much of the precious and important time to this game. But the wait is Pure BULLSHYT. I am not going to wait several weeks not to mention months for all the other people. WE WERE LIED TOO. Simple as that. The Devs dropped the ball. So don't personally attack me when more the 1/2 the forum would agree with me!

I'll try and be civil as your obously upset but if you unlock under the new system you do not wait in line you jump to the head of it. and get access to the city. If you happen to have done what is required to unlock under the new system you also get imidate access. The only ones waiting in line are the Hologrinders that did not finish enough of there Holo Professions to get into the first group. BTW if you do get in under the new system you will be waiting much longer then 3 weeks to become jedi as you can only unlock 1 of the 6 FS Skill branchs you need to get to padawan per Cycle and each Cycle is atleast 3 weeks long. And as for Pre-10 grinders if they where 1/6th the way to Padawan under the old system that they are 1/6th the way to Padawan under the new system? Well that is infact how this conversion system works, and sence someone 5/6ths the way to jedi Likely would have unlocked befor the 1/6ths guy the 5/6ths guy get access to the village first whats unfair about that? BTW more then 100 people in one spot would likly lag out the shard and that is definatly likly to happen if everyone that unlocked access got in at the same time.

If I have done enough professions to get to my silent, would I be qualified?

I have done maybe 7 or 8 professions... but I know for sure that I have completed 4 of my holoprofessions cause when I used a holocron it was silent.

Totally UNEXSEPTABLE as said another post

- Perfectly cool if the Holo grinders get something for their
efforts, they played the game to the max! Just ask the players
that spent a couple weeks dancing in the cantina because an Holo
requested it, getting half mad listening to the barfing muzak,
if they deserve anything for the effort. Or the ones thats spent
2 or 3M just to grind DE, dropping it real fast because no one
was buying the stupid and bugged droids. You can't say grinders
are bad or anything, cuz the game was rigged that way.

- Perfectly cool not to grind, as I did after hitting my silent
Holo, because I could interact more and care for my Guild and friends,
and go on hunts just for the fun of it, playing a game at last.

- Not cool when you put one group before the other; that's the whole
problem with this patch, because both groups should be treated fairly,
like give the grinder the promised equivalence and let the non grinding
group have access to the FS non Jedi skills as promised, not in 3 to 6
month.

- The solutions exist, instanciate the village or create villages on all
the planets.

- Hey look I am glowing and waiting and waiting and waiting, totally
UNEXSEPTABLE !

As with the polulation over time, the posters in this thread have gone from enthusiastic, to upset, to downright milatant, and now we're just settling into a dissapointment with the devs. because they A. dont care anymore and and refuse to admit to the membership that they **edit**ed up, again. Or B. Don't realize what they're doing and are totally clueless as to how to run an MMO and are muttling through it as best they can.

In either case, the faith is gone in me, and i was one of your biggest supporters in our guild. My response was always "well they know and they're trying their best." Now my responses are all a cynical, "Well they're f*ckup @sshats, that dont seem to care anymore."

The grinding has been rewarded with sitting in the desert waiting on an NPC i maynot see for weeks, or months for all i know. *sigh*

52 pages of posts... I doubt this will be read, but tell me if I have this straight.

As long as I wait long enough I will get a visit from the old man and be eligeable (sp?) to become a jedi. Nothing else, just wait. I can start a character today (or one I started 4 months ago but never developped for that matter), cancel my account, reactivate in 6 months (randomly guessed time) and be capable of becoming a jedi as if I'm picking that profession from the start but it's backordered.

Is that right? If so I am very dissapointed. I thought Jedi were supposed to be rare and worked for. I hardly would call sitting there and waiting "work". PLEASE tell me that I'm wrong.

Ok people We obviosly are missing something as it is there have been no reported visits by the old man. does anyone have the locations to the mysterious shrines n each of the planets? because if you look on the friday feature here http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/content.jsp?page=Friday%20Feature%20Village%20of%20Aurilia this is the quote "Players who have meditated at the shrine in order to become Force sensitive will meet with ambassadors from Aurilia. One of them (usually Marite) will send a message, and the player will be told where The Village is. It will, of course, be possible for players to stumble across Aurilia without being ready to be guided down that path, though the Aurilians will not train anyone who is not prepared." so we need to find some shrine to meditate at ive gone to the 3 i know of. could some people assist me in this theory? there has to be something more.
