Has there also been an enforcement on the length of a post that wasnt mentioned in the patch notes?

I've got a post that I've been editting for quite some time and now its coming up and telling me it's exceeding the 20k character limit. Yesterday I was able to edit it. Today its too long and its too long even if I just try to Edit and Submit it without any changes.

Curious, does the 20k character limit refer to the Graphical 20k chars or the HTML 20k chars?

BTW, its the resources link in my signature in case you want the example I'm referring to.

In the Options drop down box, could we get a "Reply to Poster" option which would open up the forum email and populate the To: field with that posters name?

Thanks again astheupgradeappears to have significantly improved the performance of the forums.

I've been having the 20K character problem, according Word it has 7.5K (its a big post), even if I remove over 2 thirds of the post I still get the problem.

I looked at the advanced search and there still seems tobe no way to only search for posts during a certain date period. Or even one that will search "past 1 month", "past 3 months", etc. Is this possible?

Bug (possibly just a complaint):

Starting threads are showing up "highlighted" (in bold) when the thread has new replies. I monitor the Dev Tracker section a lot, and when I click on Dev Tracker now, I have to figure out which ones I've already looked at. I have to check my options still to see if I can just disable this feature, but it doesn't seem as easy to use as the old setup.

Read and unread links are going wonky this afternoon.

I look at the Dev tracker, read the threads. A few minutes later I go back, refresh the Dev tracker, and 1/2 the ones I already read are marked as new.

I have a feeling this is a new "feature" that updates when someone replies, but for something like the Dev tracker it's more of a pain in the behind than anything else. I don't want to have to keep going back to the same thread to make sure I've already read that message.

Here is something I just noticed. When I clicked on the Dev Tracker onto your last post, it brings me to the top of the thread, not to the actual post like it used to. I then have to scroll down to find the post.

Also, threads are not being marked as read for me any longer.

I really dont like the dev tracker changes. Please revert dev tracker to work like it used to.

I dont care who the last poster was on a dev tracker thread. I just want to see when a dev posted, end of story. When I read the dev post, I'm used to having the thread marked as readand moving on. That way when I come back and see an unread thread I know its a new dev post. The new system is really stupid.

The Dev Tracker seems a little buggy. If I click on Q-3PO's reply to this thread in the tracker (not the original post he made), the page comes up but I am sent to the original post (not the followup link I clicked on).

The limit is now 60K I believe. Edit: 60K and keep in mind that includes HTML. So if you have a 40K char post + 25K of HTML code, it's not gonna go through.

I just cut and pasted my Resources (see sig) post into MS Word:

In its graphical form: 5,999 characters with spaces included
In its HTML form: 16,457 characters with spaces included

Could you please look at this and see if there's a bug?

*bows down and worships the man in the dark blue name, Ewok style*

Oh Man with the Dark Blue Name, the 'edit as HTML', 'preview post' and 'check spelling' buttons seem to have changed in appearance...not sure if that's intended or not.

Also, any chance we'll get the style HTML back now? Say yes or I may be forced to burn your Lithium buddies as a sacrifice to you

*begins to sing some strange Ewok sacrifical cerimonial song*
