October or later? well there goes all the people i tried to talk into staying with the game until space expansion came out in summer.






I don't think it's going to be MUCH later than october 12. If not the 12th than either 19th or 26th. I'm sure they will want to release this as CLOSE to September 21st release of the original trilogy on DVD (and tremendous amount of free publicity) as possible.

No lie....they need to put some time into this. Make the winnings really good, but the best ones rare like in real life gambling....also more pvp gambling would be awesome and add a ton of contect and social aspects.

Hutt Casino- It would be nice if they added sabacc into the game. I know I have read in the books how it is played, something with shifting card values if I recall correctly. Could easily be done I would think. Have smugglers craft the decks and such.



Wookie armor- I didnt know there was to be a 3rd type of armor for wookies. Nice to see they are getting even more choices. If the 3 are actually usefull in the game that will be one more than everyone esle gets ^_^



In general alot of tantilizing bits there, enhanced loot, BH and Mandalore armor, jetpacks(!!). But it was stated nicely earlyer, if they mess up on the combat overhaul, there will be an mass exodus.

The jetpack is like a vehicle... strap it on, turn it on, then you move arounda few meters above the ground.



With this veteran rewards thing... will someone who signed up in July, and "took a vacation" from SWG be more veteran than I, who started in December and has been playing a ton ever since?

This all sounds really wonderful, and I can't wait, but I've got two quick questions, and if you wouldn't mind responding, I'd really appreciate it.

You said a player transfer system was coming....

1) Does this include copying your character over to Test Center?
2) Will we be able to have more than one character per server now (please, please, please)? I have a joint account with my roommate "Koran" who plays on Lowca and is eager to know if he can move in with me on Corbantis. Even if you didn't intend for this in the first place, could you PLEASE allow an account two players per server? If not that, make a special exception for transferring players?

Thanks again for the great news. I'm really psyched!

I think that's the point, to provide a means to consolidate the the low population servers. It's hardly unusual for MMORPGs to consolidate shards/galaxies over time.

I'm frustrated because smugglers are still just a footnote in publish 9. Even the title of the publish has to do with jedi. I'm worried that jedi are going to get all the loving and anything for the smuggler is going to be tacked on as a last minute thing

Just out of curiousity, how many people believe they should anominally increase the maximum amount of skill points in this game? This is not including however many points may be needed to master a pilot profession.


How detrimental would it be increase the 250 skill point limit to 300?

Ummm....Maybe you don't get it...this is a STAR WARS game...it will never..."sink like a brick"...there are many star wars fans who have never played this game, but that like mmorpgs...there will always be fresh players joining, and old ones leaving...the powergamers will start to roll on to the next flavor of the year game...and the community in game will begin to decline, yes, but it will go right back up and stabilize...star wars is a household name...people just KEEP forgetting that....this isn't shadowbane or eq or uo or daoc or hell any other online game...this game has movies, books, comics, cd's, records (yes old soundtracks), games, card games, paper rpg, etc...TOYS....that are related to this game...no other online game can even compare to the amount of exposure this game gets....not one...it won't sink...it will keep going and may even get to a decade or more...of continuous running...sink like a brick my @ss...
