Well, here is my feedback...and guess what I want feedback on these questions:
(Situation: You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you. Playing since the beginning as a gimped wookiee who is grateful to have armor after being pwned for a year! I obviously have no clue how many hidden professions I mastered (if any) so how can I now know which group I fall into)
How do you know if you needed to master 5 vs. 8 professions?
If you didn't unlock by X date did you need 8?
If your character was created after X date did you need 8?
Was it something else?
How do you consider that fair and balanced?
How do you think you will continue to earn my money if you keep this up?
Yeah, this is kinda pissing me off too. I started playing about 3 weeks after launch. Then we're told 4 holo and a silent to unlock but it actually turns out that if you weren't one of the first to unlock you had to find up to 3 more silents to open the slot? What kind of bs it this that you tell how to unlock but change it and don't admit the changes until you change it again? How many players is this delay in visits for the unlockers and close to unlockers gonna cost?
Why couldn'tdevs have been honest and said "hey, even if you unlocked, all that stuff we said about it happening when pub 10 goes live, well, we were just kidding. Sorry, we aren't really very funny people" At least that might have gotten you a few smiles instead of a generally unhappy player base. From the posts I'm reading, about the only people who are happy here are the people who never mastered more than one or two skills. Those of us who worked at unlocking, mastering pointless skills just to get them mastered in the hope of unlocking so we could go back and do the skills we actually enjoyed were being screwed all along as you secretly upped the number of skills we were forced to learn.

If you have under 30 professions mastered, chances are it can be over a week before the old man see's you. Yes, 1 week. If you have done maybe 1 holo profession, it can be MUCH longer. The devs are limiting the village for people due to hardware issues that SHOULD NOT concern the players, because a situation like that should NEVER have arisen. Very sorry if this is not what you wish to hear, but welcome to the past year of SWG.
I repeat. Just because you are Glowy and the force is with you, does not mean old man in 1-3 days. Dont get false expectations from the devs again.
maybe im confused but TH clearly said people who enable the old man visit via the new system (IE Glowing) will get the visit in 1-3 days and not be part of the group structure. I have quoted where he said this in my prior post.
Could you please quote where he said people who are glowing under the new system will not get their visit in 1-3 days?

Since there is a large wave of players that will be going through the system, we are going to be monitoring traffic daily as players start and finish the Force Sensitive quests. When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down. Of course, if you qualify for the visit under the new system, you will automatically be granted a visit from the old man.

That should clear it up. But i'll go ahead and explain some. Unless you already got an unlock message or when you logged into TC2 you saw that you got 5 free tree's. You're screwed until the group ahead of you is done. It does not matter if you are glowy. They are going by how close you are to jedi, not how eligable you are to see the old man. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Both of you are correct. PC you will get your visit and once you get to the village be able to train 6 skill trees enabling you to complete the exit quest as well.

Would it have really been so inconvenient to inform players about the 1-3 day wait 24 hours ago TH? Would it have cost you your job to let the people know what you were going to do to them? Did no one on your staff care about the players who looked forward to today with much anticipation and called off from work/school in order to do something they have been working possibly a year for? Heartless. Cruel. Dishonest.
