Hummm not to be pessimistic but if we have to wait for the old guy to visit how long will it take for those 2 siths or bandits to come after us to get the crystal?Can you imagine the delay if you have to wait another 3 days after the old man's visit?At that rate some people might even miss phase 1.Pure BS if you want my opinion.I will wait those 3 days but if the siths don't pop the same day it will be a great letdown.

the New system is supposed to be a bit mysterious, if everyone knows the exacts, it wouldnt be an adventure. Having unlocked AFTER publish 9 (if i am understanding you correctly) you will be given 6 free skill trees (that which is required to make padawan)

once at the village you will talk to someone who will allow you to unlock a force skill tree and give you all the XP for that tree. train that tree, then rinse & repeat with your 5 other trees.

thats all you'll have to do. not that hard, just gotta hang a day or so and let the new system do its thing.
as far as not letting people know, if you read the Test Center forum at all its been talked about for some time that the old man spawns would be random and take a little time to appear.
The exit quest is to kill that malchi dude thing.... Have to do that....
But when ur told pub10, that means pub 10. When ur told you start as a Padawan, you START as a Padawan.
And on test center they did NOT gate the entries. Nothing was ever spoke of this 1-3 day wait for unlockers, or even the weeks for others.
Communication. That is my biggest lament.
But thank you for trying to help me. There are still good people in the game...thank god SOE cannot F--- that up either...

Ok, so I spent over 500 hours grinding to become Jedi.... and when I unlock it says I have to wait..... so I wait eagerly one month and two days....... once it's patchday I run around and after 4 days I get it explained.... Nah.. you have to run around mindlessly for 1 to 3 days doing nothing before you get your JEDI INITAITE (not even padawan as we were promised).
SO, O YOU NOT think I deserve to become a Jedi?
And hell, patience? Grinding for 5 months does not mean I've shown patience?

CSRChristopherS: Anyone that feels they are going to be visited by the old man: just go about trying to enjoy the game. The old man will visit you when he wants to. Not the other way around.
how can u enjoy your time when u have been screwed
unlocked week after pub 9 31 proffs.

If you finished 32 professions before publish 10, how many days went by before the old man visited you?
still waiting and I unlocked5 or 6 weeks ago!! Ugh!
What happened when the old man visited you?

Alright I don't post much because I don't like to be a hassle. But I have to agree with some other people on this one. Thousands of people would be happy and satisfied, including me, if you'd let them know whether or not they will be visited by the old man in three days if they get the message, "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you." It is not the 1-3 wait that bothers me or many other people, but whether or not we have that 1-3 day wait. None of us want to sit out on some planet for a week unsure if we qualify for the old man. I believe the game is wonderful and great, but this is putting us all in a bad way. Just remember, thousands of people would be satisfied with a yes or no answer.

oh and another dam thing thanx for the info release b4 the pub went live..
Here's the deal instead of fixing and creating worthy content to make ppl want to stay and play you keep them hanging on a dam string then screw them over at the last minute.
What did u think after 7 month grind and 31 proffs b4 unlock .we were just gonna thank you for this BS think again

On Test Center they did not make you wait 1-3 days however they DID state they had GREATLY increased the visit rate of the old man so everyone would get him and quickly to help test things out.
Maybe it was only me, but I did not expect the old man to appear to everyone first thing today.
and again, like i said, the gating is only for those NOT GLOWING. if you are glowy (or unlocked before and are in group 1) you will get your visit soon.
however i can understand and sympathize with your having to wait another 3 days after being told you would start as padawan.

heres all i can relay at this point
all point of interest badges , 2 warrens, 3 themeparks 7 professions for me = inner glow

Well what can I say.... Some how the Dev Team don't quite seem to have a full grasp on things. I love this game so much and been playing a year now but am finding myself more and more frustrated with the way the game is run.
Bugs that have been in since launch STILL exist.. why? This isnt beta this is live now. Too much work has gone into making new "amazing and exciting" content but you guys seem to miss the bugs everytime because your so wrapped up in making new stuff.
Now once again I find myself all hyped up for Pub10, I have all my badges ready and plenty of mastered proffesion to get me a head start..... but wait. Pub10 goes live, I log on, all ready for an old man to visit me so I may get underway with my FS Quests. I do a quick /check and im Glowing in the Force like a Tatooine Sun! I wait for about 2 hours out in the wild killing this and that while waiting... still no old man. Maybe im bugged? So i log onto the forums to find this...
"It will take 1-3 days before the old man comes to visit you and give you access to the Village of Aurilia. He will visit you outside of a city, for he cannot risk being seen…"
No! This isnt on, people like me who have played with dreams of being a jedi since seeing the first screenshot of this game (but hate holo grinding) have been waiting for this publish to be released. To then add a 1-3 day wait to all this just insults us as paying customers. You tell us this and ask for feedback but you give no more information as to why the wait, why the low amount of information and why leave this info to the last minute? It dosen't take a rocket scientist to work out that this would upset people. Please please take a moment to answer the players as to:
a) Why the 1-3 day wait?
b) Why the lack of information
c) why leave this information to the last minute?
Oh and whoevers idea it was in SOE to change the text ingame please send them to the UK so I may administer a Royal Slap. Please put the text back the way it was because now I can't read player names without getting a headache.
