Thread: In-Concept Open Discussion (Week Ending 5-3-04)
I agree with llvllerlin on that there needs to be more randomness with the loot, being able to change up how everything looks. I am getting a little bored when I go into a cantina and see 3+ female dancers all wearing the revailing body raps, if you have seen one Twi'lik female in one then you have seen them all.
I would also like to see some changes with the Medic professions. I think that a Medic or Doctor should be able to heal anyone, even if they are reb or imp. If a covet imp or reb goes into a medical fasility, there is no way to know that he is a reb when you heal him. Now if it was an overt then I could understand. You could even secertly give that medic faction points and nottell him. For a medic that heals the "enemy" things could be even worse. For an imp a group of ST come in and question the doctor, if they don't belive him he could lose faction points or ranks and gain reb faction points.
Food for thought on why you need to get your act in gear with the combat rebalance:

Yeah..its funny. I remember when CH's where EVERYWHERE & most everyone dabbled a little. Then BOOM ! Never see any now.
We're still out there. At the moment, we're the most hosed class behind Carbineers for combat performance. Publish 5 gave CH's their "balance" to bring them in line with the new combat fix. Unfortunately, we were the only profession rebalanced for the new combat system, so we're the weakest overall.
This has had some other effects on the game. Because we can tame just about everything out there, ALL the animal mobs have had to be 'rebalanced' for the new combat system. Ergo, now "solo groups" where 20 players group up and get the highest level missions out there, then go their own way to grind have become common. Combat professions are still "unbalanced" out there pwning the shizznit out of "balanced" animals and dumping vast amounts of credits in the economy and allowing hologrinders to Master professions in days, instead of weeks.
The other thing is that vehicles just put the nail in the coffin for mounts, by and large. So that 6 weeks of glory is long gone.
i was playing last night and talking to some of my friends in ther game world. We where talking about that they would like to start with a new spieces but they would not want to lose what they have worked so hard for
Just a thought I would pass on.

1. Concerning the BH being able to kill their own faction: Why not make BH a neutral profession. After all, a gun for hire is only on the side of whomever is paying the most at that given time. If the opposing makes an offer that is better, the BH may decide to switch sides. On that note, why not make it possible to give the target the optionto bribe the BHin exhange for their life spared. The BH could then decide to take itwith his/her self getting bountied or just kill the target.]
Why not have him be allowed to choose sides, but he's a BH. If Vader came to an imp factioned BH and said, I'll pay you X amount of credits to kill a person in the Empire, he'd probably take the money and do it. Same goes for a rebel BH.
I like what I heard earlier about A BH getting a missin for A PC who kills 15 troopers in Kadaara, why not also make it for if a PC kills to many rebel or imp troopers? Rebels may want revenge too.
I would like to see an instanced dungeon for the common man.. this one can be a quick something to do for an hour, or for new people something they can just exlpore and hunt. I have found for new people, that going to an easy dungeon (like the one just outside of Kor Vella) is almost a 100% waste of time, you can look at it but it's almost always empty because one reason or another.
For this idea it'd simply be a regular cave, no new graphics, just instanced. I don't know what extra hardware has to be setup for an instanced dungeon, but for the people who only have about an hour or two to play after work I think it'd be awesome to have one or two instanced dungeons around some of the bigger starports. You can even take a shuttle to it if that'd be the right way to do it.
I'd like to see the ability to turn objects in a clockwise or counterclockeise method. This way, items can be turned upsdie down and sideways. I'd also like to see rooftops of player buildings utilized. As of now, they serve no purpose other than visuals. I can understand why we aren't allowed to attack from them but Why not have the abilty to drop items on them? Especially in guild halls where there is a large rectangular open space that is getting wasted? At least enclose it so we can utilize the space or make it where things can be dropped in it.
