Thread: In-Concept Open Discussion (Week Ending 5-3-04)
- Rename the "a helper R2 unit" tag to "a helper droid"
- Rename the "Profession Quests" tag in the radial menu to "Available Quests"
- Allow Helper Droids to be rechargeable
- Allow Helper Droids to access waypoints to all of the quest NPCs in a city
- Waypointsaccessed in this way will only be the quests that are comparable with a characters current skill level (scaling to the highest possible skill of a character, regardless of equipped items/weapons)
- Allow Droid Engineers to give anew chassis to a Helper Droid, as well as add any non-combat modules that the Helper Droids owner wishes (within the droids limits, of course)
I think that friends lists need to be looked at.
I think it should fall in line with most messenger services. A player should be required to give you permisson to add them to your list.
Far too many Bounty Hunters are using the friends list as a tool to track Jedi. I understand the value of a friends list but someone should not be allowed to add you without your approval.
-more colors on armors/clothings/hair. More colors, im missing alot of colors in palett of clothes and armor, like bright yellow, and for example pink.... i think too few colors are in the game and makes people look the same...same with hair, id like completely black hair, or perhaps all white, or with multiple colors on your hair.
-Variation on designs on armors. make more design differences in armors. like different types of helmet, sholder pads, leggings, etc, if comp armor still gonna be a main type of armor, make armor smith able to make variation in design.
-Vehicles has too few options. for example speeders should have mount weapon option, and speed on all vehicles should be much higher... and most should be able to carry passenger... and more types of default vehicles. and a little storage space in them too (5 to 10 in capacity)
-Historical rewards, imperials should be getting historical stuff like for example Clone trooper armor, Droideka schematics etc. but they should be rewarded to high ranking imperial officers...
-When you drop your combat proffesion you do not lose your certification for the weapon but ofcourse you lose special moves... its too silly to forget how to use a thing when you drop proffession...
-thats all i got at the current moment, i shal post more as more ideas pop up
With the new Jedi Revamp it was stated that we can have 2 characters per server. One character we use to unlock a FS slot, and then the FS character itself. If I unlock my FS slot now, and destroy my current character (to unleash my new jedi) will I be able to get my first character back when we can have 2 char's per server? Now instead of using friends to transfer money/items between your FS character and deleted character you can do it yourself!

I think more than a handful of people are a tad saddened to see that mounts have become almost obsolete. Yeah, they can fight for you and such, but with the majority of "travelling" players not CHs, their obvious method of Transportation is a speeder of some sort. In order to make the game feel more "Star Warsy", I think mounts need to be given an injection of usefulness/cool factor. Maybe mount armor of some kind, to protect them in combat, or a mount 'weapon', a type of bonus conferred to mounts that the same type of wild creature would not have. Their are visible packs on the mount saddle graphics, so why not give them a type of backpack space usefulness to carry extra items much like a player backpack. Items like food for the mount could be placed in the pack, and automatically used to heal it during combat just like the droid auto-repair module does for droids. Possibly a whole new array of foods/spices for mounts to increase their stamina in galloping, their ability to wear higher encumberance mount armor, etc. These new items could easily be added to existing Armorsmith and Chef lineups, further enhancing their playability and usefulness. Finally, these new mount goodies would be *mount specific*, meaning that any regualr pet could not use them. The bond that the player shares with his mount would is special (ie banthas and their masters deep understanding of the other) and so only the mount can benefit from the new goodies. I'm going to do some more thinking on the subject, let me know what you guys think.
After reading all the posts I have a few suggestions.
1. Concerning the BH being able to kill their own faction: Why not make BH a neutral profession. After all, a gun for hire is only on the side of whomever is paying the most at that given time. If the opposing makes an offer that is better, the BH may decide to switch sides. On that note, why not make it possible to give the target the optionto bribe the BHin exhange for their life spared. The BH could then decide to take itwith his/her self getting bountied or just kill the target.
2. Vendors with little or nothing on them: Couldn't there be a terminal placed in the npc cities that would give players access to the inventory on all the player vendors on that planet? Players would still have to travel to go buy the item but would solve the empty vendor issue plus give an added bonus of saving traveling all over to still not find what you are looking for.
3. Survey droids not giving enough info: How about having them give random info of eitherthe highest % or the stats of one of the resources from that survey tool.
