Lightsabre-resists in PSGs:
I obtained a newly-made crate of psg's. The crate shows lightsabre resists. When I retrieved a psg fromt the crate it had lightsabre resists. But after I logged and logged back on, the lightsabre resist had disappeared.
This seems like the old 'shifting-stats' PSG bug all over again.
Yeah I was a little upset when I heard about them putting this restisacne into PSGs do to the fact they have never fixed the problems with PSGs. That old bug with the shifting stats never had been fully fixed. They truelly need fix this. The armor smiths have been asking to get this fixed forever. :/

Hey I goofed on the conversion.
I'd like to be able to either restart from scratch like we could before the patch, or learn the starting force trees. I had thought I could buy the rest of the crafting branch, so I didn't get technique or experimentation. The addition of allowing us to pick skills from the regular professions was a GREAT Idea, but I'd rather have been allowed to put all my sps into the rest of the jedi starting trees.
I was recently told we can't remake the jedi characters anymore, is this true? I'd like to start over because I goofed. Either way, what I suggest is allow us to buy the jedi skills we can't like the crafting profession branch, etc.
Any help on whether or not we can restart the character, or am I stuck with the goof?

shagon that's the way it was intented. Dark jedi have to kill to raise rank. Light jedi aren't supposed to go around killing people. It's just not their 'way'.

It took me all up about 45 hours of hunting to do the Trials. That's a 'fair' amount, about a week of 'work'.
Some comments:
Jedi robes really are weak. There was no peak or gain for making it into the ranking systems. I had a TKA do some tanking for me, especially in the Acklay caves, and he was taking far less then a master LS/Master Def jedi. Seemed a little odd, but not surprising given he had armor. In PvE- Jedi do a very high amount of damage. The mobs have no 'toughness' or mitigation. With some very high quality pearls , I was doing about 3k a hit in PvP, per second. Many would consider that 'uber' , except I know Swordsmen who can do the same to most mobs. Jedi are useful in group hunting since they can hit the high armor/AR3 and high resist mobs, to complement the flame DOTs from commandos.
PvP: Combat Medics still rule PvP. It's a multi-stage problem due to:
a) 100 rated Havla allows 1 poison or disease throw/second
b) Mind buffs mean combat medics can spam spam spam poison
c) Poisons A,B,C and single and ranged can stack on a single target. With ranges outside any normal weapon - I can make standard poisons at 84m right now! Then toss them as someone closes in on me.
d)It takes 2 or 3 cures to even deal with one poison. It's a 'I win' button.
e) A single doc has not prayer to heal poisons on themselves, not to mention those in a group
f) Jedi cure poison and disease takes 2-3 tries to clear one poison, then along delay.
g) Introduction of Spider Venom made for extreme poisons that are 'one shot kills'.
h) Warcry/Warcry 2 still works even on folks with a DOT. So ... apply poison, warcry 2 = dead any char
i) Group Tef is becoming oddly common, so folks in a group send in one overt, get group tef, then use above tactic to 'instant kill' a jedi.
Lots of problems here... need some fixes.
Thunderheart, hasn't there been enough negative feedback about how over-powering poisons are?
Lightsabers, even with 4 really nice pearls, do very little damage against melee templates. My current PvP saber has a 50,47,38 and 32 pearl at -8,-8,-9 and -9 force. It was doing about 50 damage to a SINGLE melee fellow who applied a DOT poison with his lance. Admitted, he had me intimidated 2 (first try, though I'm master def....) and he was using 45% synth steak. I believe I was doing 90 dmg after the synth wore off. He was a master fencer, TKA, swordsman. A ranged user without synth or without the ability to intimidate a Jedi is quickly defeated with 300-400 point hits, but it's very rare to see a solo ranged user, or a ranged user without basic brawler. Actually, just thinking about it, almost every non-CM/Doc I know has some TKA in their template.
Ranged templates can barely touch a master lightsaber with 85% saber block. Very cool special effect, but it's crippling for BH to fight you.
Avoid incap is nice power that gives 30 secs 'invulnerability' but the force cost is really high, so it has to be used with care. Handy to run through a dungeon, or pull mobs in the corvette - but pretty easy to get yourself in trouble too.
Note: I did not have too much trouble hitting him though, even with his 1H equipped. He had no trouble KD/Dizzying me either though, even though I was master Defence. Thankapillo helped a lot in later tests.
I kept in touch with most jedi during the trials. It seems a week to complete all trials for folks playing 5 hours a night. It took me about 10 hours to find a Graul Marauder, and 10 or so for a Giant Canyon Krayt. The Giant Canyon was 'fun' though, since there is lots for a group to xp on, and Krayts drop interesting loot.
Permanent Overt makes it 'interesting' to travel. So far I don't know any light jedi, though there are plenty of active Rebel PvP guilds looking for me, so it's certainly not boring. Given that CM's can easily defeat a jedi who does not have a LOT of support, it seems a little odd whats going on with FRS experience right now, but I'll give it another week of 'playing around' to see if I'm missing something.
So, besides the 'status symbol' of being one of the first in the force ranks, it's not exactly over-powering or anything. And that's what I expected. I have not heard of any reports of 'jedi dominating PvP', but I have heard from friends that BH missions do not clear upon deathblow, allowing body camping and redeath of Jedi from a BH group.
So overall, I give this publish a 'B-' for 'Fun Factor' since it allows Jedi to have with without gaining at TEF, at the cost of a fair amount of power. Jedi have a use iin a group as a high damage dealer vs high armored foes, and probably would do really well as hybrid hunters for meat/hide. Some instances of jedi XP loss are impossible to prevent- I have a client crash just about every day - just hard client crash. And sometimes I'm fighting something and someone. Right now if you have a hard crash, it takes twice as long to login since your character does not go 'LD' until you login, cannot connect, disconnect, close client, restart client and then connect again. This can take minutes and if alone, that's a dead jedi. I would recommend a 'death buffer' of maybe up to 2 or 3 a week, then institute a XP loss on Rez after this, that incremements based on number of deaths in the week and skill level. I liked the suggestions of Skill points used x 1000 xp being the high cap to xp loss. This will become more of an issue when 'main' characters become jedi.
Jedi are being kept from towns since being 'non jedi like' and dueling in major cities gets them on BH terms, who take them out right then and there- that I think *is* fair since Jedi should not be openly running around in cities. I do like the fact I still hear of BH doing their job, and killing cocky and visible Jedi.
As to Robes.... jedi are extremely vulnerable to melee and poisons. The white padawan robes seem worse then the composite of old since you really stick out as a sore thumb. Padawans should have the option for a 'jedi like' hooded and dark robe that conceals their faces. I suppose travelling jedi can equip themselves with normal clothes, and given the lack of perks in the robes, I know a large number of jedi using BE enhanced and modded clothes over the robes. I think that's pretty wrong in concept, though I like what some jedi have dressed up as- they sometimes look more 'jedi like' then the robes, and at least 'unique'.
Well, there are my thoughts for the week. Take them as you will
Hoping I was constructive...

I hate this stupid new set up.
Were all small fish in a big sea now, filled with sharks (BULLIES) called jedi.
Cant even do imp missions anymore with my girlfriend without getting wacked...looosing 10k in buffs, 24k for a bike they knock you off of. and 1.5 hours to go get healed, fix yoru mind...line up 15 min for new buffs, and line up 20 min for stupid shuttles.

1) well why dont you wait till your tef runs out... shouldn;t have too. we wait for everything else.. now we gotta be affraid to do anything.. and i dont see any overts anymore in the past 4 days.
2) Why dont you contract a BH.. **edit** they gonna do.. nothing.. they cant.. they need 12 to 14 tka guys maybe to get him once..
SO we all gotta travel in packs? Cant go overt and fight reg enemies, cause theres a jedi at every turn. NO CHANCE..
NONE...
I pay the same as everyone else each month. and worked my but off everyday when I have time.(no jedi slot here). only to be bullied all day long now and run around whith my tail between my legs.
Last night got killed twice by same guy who uses force run 3 to catch up on ya.. kills 2 of my bikes, my GF's bike, got pissed then logged off.
Log on this morning. go get healled and buffed again, go back to do missions, and bang 10 min later i'm dead from another jedi. and another bike gone.
LOG OFF.

hello
i'd have some questions, but nobody could answer me so far.
would you be so kind to tell me how much damage the healself 2 stuff heals and how much force it costs?
and how much melee/ranged damage the force armor 2 absorbs? 40% ? 70%?
thank you

please give Jei TEF, esp in big cities etc.
its so anti star wars episode 5 it is untrue. the Empire is supposed to be at its worst right now cracking down on EVERYTHING in an aid to wipe the rebels out. Jedi having parties outisde the emperors window is not right at all..
get the imps to keep them in line, even the emperor did not want dark jedi running about in case they overthrew him.
btw im rebel

Hello-
Just here to share something that I feelis "odd":
It's odd how Yoda had to flee from civilization and live in total seclusion, yet Jedi run freely in starports, cantinas, and other public locales throughout the galaxy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that they were aggressively hunted to near extinction by Lord Vader and the Empire. Somehow I lose that "genuine" SW feel when I run past 2 duelingJedi at the shuttlewith titles over their heads.
I was a devout fan of this game since release, and there have been many great ideas implemented into this game. In contrast, there have also been many poor ideas that hold this game from reaching it's full potential.
Sorry, but I just had to get this off my chest.

As a whole, I love the new system. It is fun, and I enjoy leveling now... a lot more than before publish 9.
I died for the first time tonight (read: Haven't died with my jedi yet, ever. 3 'free' deaths), and when I cloned I got slapped with a -200,000 jedi xp reduction. OUCH. Talk about a major setback. Since I converted on Tuesay (I was able to get up to 2-handed lightsaber 4), I have only been able to get 1 more box. Thats 200k xp in that time. Granted I haven't been grinding like I used to, but it seems silly that jedi aren't even given 1 free death, and notified of what the xp loss WOULD have been, so they can avoid it even more than usual. I am now -147k xp in the hole, and its going to be a chore just to break even.
For the curious, I died to a Mokk shaman, as I didn't notice my brandy had worn off. Whoops! 1 hit, and I was down and out.
