Thread: Publish 9 Feedback: Loot Kits

Loot kits are a new mini-game for collectors.Players can start by visiting Junk Dealers that are located in Combat Guild Halls and request a “loot kit".These loot kits are containers that will be used to collect miscellaneous items dropped from NPC’s and can be turned into a new reward. Loot kits are free for the asking and one per customer. Players can speak to different junk dealers in order to get new loot kits, by asking the Junk Dealer, "What sort of items do you have that you are looking to get rid of?". Once players decide which loot kit they would like, they may begin collecting the parts. To complete a kit, players will need to gather 10 different items that go with the kit. To see what items the kit requires and which ones have already been gathered, “examine” the kit. This list also will tell the player what items they still need to loot by use of a “yes” or “no” next to each item in that list. Only items that the kit actually requires can be placed inside the kit. When a player gets an item that fits with a kit they own they can instantly drag and drop it into the kit and the kit then will count that item as recovered. Kits will not be tradable between players although all the looted parts will be. Kits can only be placed in your main inventory slot or in the bank. The loot kits examine window gives a basic description of what the kit will make, as will the names of the kits. These items can be kept by the player or sold back to the junk dealer for a 1000 credit reward.
Were you able to locate the Junk dealer in the main guild hall?
Have you tried to complete a loot kit?
This is an excellent idea, but I'd have preferred some type of rendering of what the actual item would look likeinstead of the vague descriptions such as "blue rug".I imagine some like it as it is and will just hope it looks good - I've heard the orange rug looks terrible though.
I spent half a day killingvarious levels of Valarian NPCs anddidn't see a single loot kit item of any type drop. Are they meant to bethis rare? At this rate it will take me a year or more just to make a blue rug.

This game is so lacking in content that people will flock to things like this and the hermit quest as soon as they're released, just because there's nothing else to do that they haven't done a billion times already.
I don't know about you, but I haven't done all of the 100+ missions / quests listed here: Allakhazam quest list and I doubt you have either. Anyone who complains about content without having done all the current content can't expect to have their complaintstaken seriously...
Now if you've done them all, let me know and I'll gladyapologize, but I seriously doubt that is the case.

The dozens of bugged delivery missions with 100 credit rewards on that list should not be considered "content". After you get rid of that crap, all that's left is themeparks and the new Tatooine/Dantooine quests which I have already done.

Yeah, the rest of the planets could use a revamp of the missions. It's always thrilling to recieve a used ticket and 233 credits, not! Anyway, I agree things like that can't be called content really, or maybe it could be called newbie content.
I'm still hoping that the drop rates are bugged, or something. Seems to me like these loot kits aren't exactly aimed towards the powergamers (after all, the decorations are basically "useless" for someone who's after getting the max out of his skills), and I can't understand why they need to be soooo rare. Spent a huge amount of time hunting various NPCs on Corellia, Tatooine and Lok. Haven't seen a single piece yet, save the one I bought from the bazaar.

This one is my favorite of Publish 9. ![]()
I really like it to search for parts
Should be more of this. Just the loot rate of this parts seems to be very low (searched since Publish 9 for parts and got three alltogether).
