One more thing can you please restore the 500 faction reward for completing the act one disks or REMOVE THEM FROM THE GAME?!?

Thanks,

Alright, here's a suggestion. As you know, not all the junk vendors have loot kits, only the generic junk guys. Why not make it so that each vendor has corresponding kits for what they are buying? Like, the jewelry and clothing people can have kits for rare clothing and stuff, and the weapon junk dealers can give kits out for rare weapon upgrades and the such.

Also, as everyone else has said, the drop rates seem to be a little crazy. I haven't specifically tried non stop, but no luck finding it yet.

I agree that the buyback price of the completed kit should be much much higher.

I love the idea of loot kits, and the reward is something that the person can choose to do, and not feel left out of the main story quest. This is something that has put a renewed "spark" back into playing SWG everyday. I would really like to see similar things like this, maybe without the mindless killing of npcs involved though.

I've killed various low-level npcs on three different planets for about twelve hours now (through three days). So far I've only received one piece during the first hour (blue rug piece, I have an orange rug kit). I'm gladcompleting the kits will be a challenge, and not take just a few hours. However, as many other people have mentioned, the drop rate does seem extremely low.

I didn't have a problem finding the junk dealer, but I did get a little confused when asking for the kit. The exact wording the junk dealer used was a bit confusing.

The reward is WAY too low. Heck you can't even buy anything for 1000 credits and you can earn way more that that doing really low level fast hunting missions.

I have been actively hunting NPCs for 4+ hours per day since the patch and have looted a grand total of 3 orange rug parts, 1 naboo sculpture part and 1 table part. I think you could easily double the drop rate on this stuff and still keep the items rare.

I like this quest. It's a nice diversion to work on as a background activity while going about my daily business. I honestly think that anyone who is working on this quest to the exclusion of all other activities need their head examined. (I think the same think of hologrinders, but thankfully that nightmare is now over!)

What else are people supposed to be doing? The only reason to do PVE is missions for money and a few hard things for loot, and PVP is total crap thanks to the devs' unwillingness to fix combat medics now or move combat balance ahead of all this jedi garbage. If you're not grinding or farming nightsisters for SEAs, the only way you'll ever get a reasonable number of loot kit parts is by macro-looting thugs.

The pathetic drop rate is nothing but an unnecessary, excessively large time sink.

This game is so lacking in content that people will flock to things like this and the hermit quest as soon as they're released, just because there's nothing else to do that they haven't done a billion times already.

POKEY THE PENGUIN SIG REMOVED BY GARVA BECAUSE "Just because you are crafty enough to get around the technicality of it being a .jpg or .gif does not mean it is not an image, it is not ascii art, it is an image" SO HERE IS MY NEW SIG.

I agree with many who have responded, the rate of drop should be tweaked. However, otherwise I'm very happy with this addition to the game. Nicely done.

Eh, I don't really have a problem with the extreme rarity of the loot drops... It's good to see something that isn'tcompleted within 48 hours of the patch coming out... As long as all the pieces DO drop, leave it like it is!

Okay, I've seen complaints about loot drop rates. I've seen complaints about people who want stuff 'in a day'. I've seen people complain that nobody does interdependance. Let me address these issues now.

I ran a statistical model. Assuming even chance for all pieces, it'll probably take a MINIMUM of 13 drops to get one complete item, average of of 86, a maximum of 252. That's on 10,000,000 trials. The numbers go up significantly if the chance on parts is not equal.

Now. That out of the way...

I've hunted NPCs of various levels for close to 12 hours now. I've gotten four pieces. Two for the statue, one for the table, one for the gong. At this rate, it's going to take me a minimum of 36 hours more before I can make the statue. That's an aweful lot of time when you can only play four hours a day. Nine days more. I've already been three days on it. So that's twelve days total. If I'm rather lucky. To get one. If I do nothing but camp things I can kill really fast. Which means very little time for anything else, like doing ID work or hunting more impressive things for combat XP to further my profession. So there's the answer to drop rate. One day is too fast. Two weeks of doing nothing but this? Or maybe it'll take me 86 loots... Some time before Christmas if I'm lucky.

Now, I don't think anyone's arguing they want it in a day, but I've got a couple guild-mates. One of them has been hunting less quickly but mroe hours than me. He's yet to see one piece. Another has found one piece on more hours than I've put in. Both of them consider ME 'lucky' for how many pieces I've found. Neither of them are 'I want it in a day' either, but considering how fast THEY are getting them, it's going to be well over a month before they complete anything.

Now, for people who say, "Well, that's why you have interdependance. Hunt with your guild. Well, in my smallish guild, we've got a total of five pieces. Only two of them are for the same object. That's like five pieces for a total of somewhere around thirty hours of total hunting. That's a HORRIBLE rate. Either the person who posted that they'd finished the orange rug with help from their guild has a guild of around 200 people or they're all some of the most serious SWG addicts I've heard of according to the drop rate I've been seeing.

On the other hand, in all the hunting I've done, I've gotten four pieces but only one crystal.

13 locked containers.

I have three complete rebel/imperial messages in my inventory and most of two more.

I don't want to count the number of junk weapons and clothing I've destroyed.

50,000 credits cash, too. Not to mention what I've made off missions when I've taken them.

And Advanced Meditation in TK. Mostly off mummers, meatlumps and the like.

I think the loot drop rate can be increased SOME without destroying the value of the items. But as of right now, making any progress at all feels neigh impossible to all but the fortunate few who seem to get these things with ease.

I love the idea. I just can't beleive that itsso difficult to find parts for any of the loot kits, yet everyone is going to be running around as the"Hero of Tatooine". Perhaps reverse the spawn rates? This should be challanging and fun, but not quite so epic.

Actually, they have been removed from the game. They were called Encoded Rebel Transmission or Encoded Imperial Transmission, not Rebel Transmission or Imperial Transmission. The ones you are getting now have always been in the game and are completely unrelated to any Act missions.

I would like to see these give some factional reward though. It seems appropriate. Maybe a few hundred.

I don't know about you, but I haven't done all of the 100+ missions / quests listed here: Allakhazam quest list and I doubt you have either. Anyone who complains about content without having done all the current content can't expect to have their complaintstaken seriously...

Now if you've done them all, let me know and I'll gladyapologize, but I seriously doubt that is the case.
