Issues

1. Drop Rate Increase: This can be done by doing the following:

- Take disks out of current NPC loot table

- Take CDEF's and low-level melee weapons out of loot table

2. It doesnt even tell the player that it will "eat" the parts until you put it in. Unless destroying the lootkit spits out the parts (something I would not like to try out) then please address that issue.

3. Please remove the ability to sell back to the junk dealer, no one is going to sell back for 1000 credits when that can be made ina few minutes. Im just scared I will accidently sell it back when I go to get my 2nd kit!

Loot kits are a great enhancemet to the SWG game, BUT! the drops are worse than pearls, for only 1000 credits and all that work who in there right mind would sell it to the junk dealer for that, unless he gave you something else in return that was more valuable along with the 1000 cr. Loot Drop for these items ate near the 100000:1 ratio that takes into consideration that 5 kits with 10 peices in each. So in actuallity you will need to kill almost 1 million npcs to make all 5 kits complete. I have killed to my knowledge over 10000 npcs and so far got only one peice for the naboo statue. Do the Devs even what us to make the items? I am not asking to get the compleate kit in on hour or day even, just that the items spawn more frequently than the rate that they are at now. maybe in a month or so well see more items in game but do we really wnat to see the imfamous Blue Rug sell for 1million or more credits for shear rarity of componets? I for one what to make them my self for my own decorations and not for profit. Devs Increase the Spawn Rate of the Loot Kit Items..............

I've spent a couple afternoons working on this and killed several hundred NPCs so far. I have 3 components from those two afternoons, each component for a different kit. In the same time I got 5 containers and about 10 rebel/imperial disks. I'd like to see the drop rate for the kit parts upped to the drop rate of the rebel/imperial disks.

Really looking forward to putting one together though. Nice idea.

Junk dealers were very easy to find, using the World Map.

As for completing it... no way. No chance what-so-ever of that. I've been killing NPCs for days, have gotten 11 total pieces: 3 Blue Rug (what I'm working on), 3 Orange Rug, 3 Glass top table, 1 Gong, 1 Statue. In the group I was in, I saw 8 other parts looted.

The drop rate seems inordinately low for a non-game-breaking item, and the reward payout of 1000c is almost laughable. Given that no one will accidently get every part for one item without weeks of work, I'm not even sure what it's there. In killing thugs for parts, I got almost 100k credits (whole lot of thugs).

What I was always wondering was if the loot discs that are still dropping (and are worthless) could be changed over to the loot kit items instead. They'd be a lot more useful to players, and would adiquately up the frequency of the drops.

Back yet again, for another round of SWG... um... fun. Yeah, that's it. (It's not just a diversion while I wait in the queues for WoW BG's)

I know its already been said, but the drop rates need to be turned way up. I have been AFK looting for a couple hours now and only gotone piece so far and its not even for the loot kitI have.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

I was able to obtain a loot kit.I think it's a great idea, and as a packratty junk fiend it's right up my alley.

A coupleof grumbles I have with the way it is currently set up though:

1. The components are dropping too infrequently - a slight increase would be appropriate.

2. The fact that you can only carry one kit at a time is problematic. I first found an orange rug thread on the bazaar early in the morning of patch day, so I asked for the orange rug kit. When I put the piece into the kit, it was 'absorbed' by the kit.. at first I was appreciative of the inventory reduction. But then I set about hunting for more bits. After two days of solid murder, I've only been able to find one more piece. It's for the glass table. Now, I am facing some pretty astronomical odds at being able to find all the rug pieces before I get any others, and I don't want to delete the kit with the one orange thread given how incredibly rare the drops have proven to be. I would really, really like to be able to unassemble the kit I have in case I find a complete set of another item first. If I'd known then, I'd have waited to get a kit at all until I had all the parts - now I'm holding on to every little thing until I get all the rug threads.. You might think I'd be smart and trade the non-ruggy pieces for others, but you'd be wrong. I'm a chef so I've got major inventory/reality issues already.

Please put a tweak in one of these directions to make this minigame less hardcore, it's a bit too much as it is. A lot of the people who like this sort of thing are working with limited resources.

I have not tried the Loot Kits yet because the reward is way too low. It is nice to see SOE trying to add content to the game, but let's up the reward a bit. In my opinion, 10k is more realistic.

Ten thousand? We could almost buy our own ship for that!

Butwho's gonna fly it,kid! You?

You bet I could. I'm not such a bad pilot myself! We don't have to sit here and listen...

lol. I am not sure what your profession is, but on Bloodfin making 100k-200k a day doing missions is not that difficult. 1k for days worth of work, just seems a bit crazy. I understand the collectible issue and that has nothing to do with the reward. If you are new, they try doing delivery missions and your reward per day will be far greater then using the loot kits. I still stand on my original post that the reward is just too low. You cant even buy a ticket to leave the planet for under 1k? lol. Just my opinion.

Question:

Does having a loot kit reduce your chance of getting non-kit related loot? I'd hate to have missed out on a crystal or other rare loot drop because the system decided my loot should be a component for a rug instead.

Thunderheart the junk dealers and their schematics was/is a fabulous addition to this game. Kudos to you and your for a job well done. I would also like to apologize to you and the developer team. This patch was one hell of an awesome thing for this game and based upon in no small part the jedi revamp, I am not longer fearing this "combat rebalance" as I once did. You have increased my enjoyment of this game with this patch 100 fold. Most importantly you didn't nerf my jedi as a solo character. That showed me that you valued me as a customer and tonight I will be renewing both accounts for the next six months.

As far as the junk dealer is concerned its was and is a great addition for this game. Could we have more kits please to much more useful things? I would recommend permanent schematics for powerups, and weaponsmith piece enhancement or dare I say it armor power ups? I would recommend that in the future you also look to giving the buildings that spawn in the wilderness utility. Complete with lootable chests. That would make another fabulous addition to the game.

I am also still looking for a reason to do treasure quests. Right now its kind of pointless as the "treasure" is pathetic. Can we increase the CA/AA drops in these, the treasure maps are in my opinion rare enough.

Job well done, and please keep up the great work. This patch was a definite step in the right direction. Please unnerf the bounty hunter by trimming the fat off of it like JustG said was going to happen. That will breath more life into a very Star Warsy profession.

Also if you could move Jedi missions to Master Bounty Hunter AND prevent reverse ganking (where the jedi is grouped with other people and they all can attack the lone Bounty Hunter with inpunity). It needs to be a one on one deal.

Good content i've gotten one piece so far and I like to see something that is actually a CHALLENGE that these "casual gamers" can't complete in the hour a week they are on. Great job very good quest and finally some furniture that is actually impressive to get.

My sig is of little use now due to the fact that I have quit.

I've left my toon on macroing lumps for a couple nights now, and I have a pretty good number of pieces, I have 6 for the orange rug.. (only need 4 more)... And a bunch of gong parts/statue pieces... The drop rate is definitely looooooow, but not so much that in a week or so we won't start seeing completed kits... (of course, this is assuming all the parts DO drop, and we don't have another jetpack issue here)...
