I like the idea of what you are doing Devs, just wish something would come out officalliy for those peeps that haven't unlocked yet on thier silent holo prof. I can't ask for to much, so this is good. If a DEV can respond and let us know, that's be great.

Peace to the Rebellion and to the Empire...nay, kill the Empire

We will come out with more info, and it will be fair.

But why not stop the grind right now? Just play! You are going to make it soon enough anyway, and the village is very fun!

It is so nice to here this. I stopped the grind recently as it was killing my love of the game. Ever since, I haveseen and achieved so much more in game. My gaming experience improved greatly.

I have been eagerly awaiting this publish for a while now, and this news has made my day. I have mastered 16 profs including all holo professions, and have 77 badges in total. I hope this is enough to qualify. If not, could someone let me know??

Happy Hunting

Dear JustG.

Im one out of many who had up until now interpreted all info given out by the development team here on the boards plus articles in the knowledgebase as a clear sign that Publish 9-10 unlockers would be granted 6 FS skill trees and set as having completed the Padawan trials.

The Development team said (still looking for quote), that between publish 9 and 10 hologrinding unlocking mechanisms would still be in effect. Only thing changed was that we couldn't get our jedi until publish 10 because now our main would be FS not our secondary character.

I direct your attention to this article in the knowledgebase: [soe11958] Force Sensitive Characters

[soe11958]:
...
All Jedi who exist prior to Publish 10 will instantly be granted 24 skill points worth of Force Sensitive skills and will be defined as having completed the Padawan Trials.

While some say this only goes for those who are jedi prior to publish 10 I took it as a clear sign that publish 9-10 unlockers were covered by this article. If you wanted to underline the fact that you only meant people who unlocked prior to publish 9, why not write that?

JustG wrote:
Based on some detailed conversations with the Correspondents, as well as your feedback, we have already implemented some changes on TC & TC2 for the credit you receive if you unlocked.
As you know, those that have unlocked between publish 9 & 10 will be given all 6 Force Sensitive branches that they need to proceed to Padawan.
Now, based on our interactions with the community, you will also be given the experience necessary to purchase all four boxes in each branch.
So: Intro Quest, Exit Quest, and on to Padawan. You can still do the Force Sensitive quests if you desire to gain their specific rewards.
We will announce the proportional credit for those who have not unlocked soon. It will be fair as well.
Thanks,
- g

While this puts my heart at rest I can't help wonder...
It was your plan up until now to give unlockers 6 empty skill boxes?
Now that makes my head spin again, because that is very disturbing.

You talk about fair... was it fair before?

Fair...
Be sure you don't devaluate this fine word.

I'm sure you know as well as I do the many negative reactions there has been on this subject.
I'm glad you took in the opinions of the community and are going to change it, but...
... take this experience with you back home: How did it get to this?

On a related subject... communication... or lack of it... where is TH?
He hasn't posted for 5 days.
I can perfectly well understand if he needs a bit of time off, but a little comment would be fine.
You gave us communication when we craved it, and now when it begins to lack (and in my opinion it has been lacking since end of last week) we get frustrated.

Try to give candy to a child sometime... after the child has had a quick taste of it, tear it away.
You'll see resistance... whether its whining or accusing questions beeing asked.

Logically, the reward for those who haven't unlocked yet should be a lesser extent then the those whom have unlocked since patch 9 are receiving. Those who have ground more professions, logically, should get more of a reward then those who didn't. It's actually very easy to calculate.

There were 32 professions which mattered toward unlocking. The way to calculate what percentage of the reward a player should receive would be to divide the number of professions left to master by the total number of professions. For example, I've masterd 10 professions (11 if I could get 300 more app xp =/). So the percentage of the reward I would get would be(10/32) or 31% rounded to the nearest hundreth.

Being 6 trees needed to unlock, that would translate to 31% of 6 or 1.86. Depending on whether you round up or down (hopefully up though in practice rounding down would probably be more fair) that would be either 1 or 2 fs trees of my choice unlocked with the xp to put into it/them.

That, I think, is about the fairest way to determine what those who haven't unlocked would get.

There arealternativeways you can look at this, for example, youmight not includeany holo professions since you were told what to gind - andfor me that becomes (10-4)/(32-4) or 21%. You might only count professions that counted towards unlocking - and for me that becomes 4/5 or 80% (NB: I think that this is my least favorite option). You might also calculatethe total exp for the professions you grinded and convert that into 'free' experience using the conversion ratios to spend on the newFS trees.

I am sure that there are others and it would be good to give credit somehow to those who have been around a long time and did not holo-grind - unfortunately, I suspect that this would be difficult to measure due to the caps on experience as someoneplaying10 hours a week for 12 months has arguably achieved less than someone who plays 20 hours/week for 12 months.

Regardless of how it's done, I am just glad that the holo "madness" is over.

So, basicaly behind all the BS and Lie's, if you unlocked in Patch 9, you get the Shaft!

You see, it took me all 32 Professions to unlock and my last profession was Merchant, which I started like 3 dangdays before patch 9.

Now, being led to believe thru-out all your Dev's BS >PRE_9 Patch and all, that if I unlocked during this patch, I WOULD GET MY PADAWAN when patch 10 came out. But, as it seems,>

LIARS>> Big Fat ars Liars

TAKE YOUR QUEST AND CRAM THEM > RIP OFF AND LIARS.

I done did my dang share in this game and ALL 32 Professions= MORE than enough to be Jedi..

so,, you Dev's can take it to Heart from someone that not care about all ya kissing up and all that, You a Bunch a damn liars. GIVE ME MY DAMN JEDI..

And this coming from a guy that Owns' 4 accounts? YUP! Jedi or cram your game.

No of course that you made me mad enough to tell you what I think, enjoy it.

Ya know, after I think about it, and have done all professions in this game on this 1 account alone, not including my other accounts, and I was thinking,, CAN I GET A DAMN REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Refund?

No?

Not matter, take all 4 accounts and cram them before you ask me to Grind 1 more damn profession.

Pssst.... /nudge JustG.... we want our Jedi's all freakin ready.....

Never the less I'm already ahead of you JustG, I'm done grinding, that was just silly. But now here I am thinking my game is screwed because as it seems now I'm taking a huge setback on the path to jedi with the intro of pub 10. When by all accounts I should be even closer....

Glad to hear there is hope this is getting better. You should already know what to do for us that would be fair and make us happy I just hope you go with it and don't try to nerf it

I'm wondering - when exactly can we do the quests for the rewards???

Can I do the quest after I have the padawaan box?

And what happens to my 'credit' if my pure artisan happens to get killed by some wandering meatlump thug on dathomir? (I'm guessing I best wear my 90% armor and have a buff when I go to the village anyway.)

Althar Maru, Flurry Janta Assassin

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

"Soon enough" being 4.5 months, minimum, for those of us that played the game as a profession we liked, "as intended" in the dev's words?

Hehe. Nice guys finish last I suppose. Anything to say to veterans who didn't choose to grind out 30 professions? Maybe we could get branch unlocks, 1 branch for every 2 months we've subscribed since you'd now looking at giving the grinders XP to fill their unlocked boxes? Another $75 in subscription fees to get the chance to unlock a second slot after playing for more than a year stings a bit, ya know?
