Im from the UK and am currently a Bounty Hunter on the Naritus server. Obviously id like to be able to transfer my character but id be just as happy if they opened up the new servers a week or two before the UK release so we can join as soon as possible (even tho it means starting afresh).

Now the UK release is so close im finding it very hard to get back into playing on Naritus, I just want to get started on a European server!

Yeah I feel the same way m8, I started about a week ago and i can see the potential of this game, but I also am reluctant to continue on the U.S servers knowing Europeen ones will be launched soon.

My ping is in the 140 mark despite being in France (I'm a Brit btw:smileyhappy so motivation is due to wanting to be involved in a fresh release and the International time zone factor.

If you are a noob fighter you are happy to be healed by a master doctor and get stuf from master artisans, weaponstmith, chef, armorsmith, whatever

Yeah, fine... and the noob artisan, doctor and weaponsmiths ? They are screwed, because noob fighter already got all he needed from a God from another galaxy. This screws up balance big time.

1) PING !!!! My ping is going to be better on the european server, i will lag less, this us very important

I have a ping of 200 on the US server. Thats just fine for playing. If you have more, you either have a bad connection yourself which won't be gone even with european servers, or you picked the wrong server, which can still happen in Europe. The UO server DrachenFels was even more laggy than most US servers, despite the fact that it was about 4900 Miles closer physically.

2) Langage : i am feed up having to ask what langage you speak, so on an europen server its gonna be easier because there is gonna be servers by langages (german, french, etc...)

It's easy.Everyone speaks english. Even on european servers, most will speak english. Look at UO.

When you bought the game, the package stated "US only" ! You cannot transfer between US servers, what makes you think you have a right to demand transfer to a european server ? If there is a new american server in Idaho, no one will be able to transfer there, no matter if they live there or not. So when there is a new server in Germany ( or anywhere else ) there should be no transfer either.

So you dont understand anything to the point, i dont care about being ubber or the economy, as a normal gamer i care about

Fine. As a normal gamer, I do care about the economy, because it's what drives half the populations game. If it breakes, the game breaks. And that is what a normal gamer should care about. If you don't care about economy, go play a shooter, they don't have economies.

I am European. I am NOT from EU. I do NOT have to charge VAT yet. I'll be charged VAT next year. If you want to know it, I am from a green wasteland called Czech Republic.

But I bought this game from USA. I was thinking they won't make the European version 'till the end of the year. And NO, I DON'T WANT TO BE ABLE TO TRANSFER MY CHARACTER FROM ECLIPSE.

Let me examine this. In my opinion, there are two types of people who plays computer games. Powergamers (profigamers, Masters of Online play, people who play 3 or 4 MMO at one time.) and normal people. I am not a powergamer. I am just a normal man with normal thoughts, normal live and not too much free time. I have watched this game from the press and I started playing it because I am a SW fan. I do not want to be the best on server, I don't want to kill Emperor, I don't want to have a sex with Leia (well, maybe.. ). I just want to have fun playing solo or with my Czech or any other friends.

If the devs will make the option to transfer chars from one server to other available, well, that does not make any sense. Have they made it when Tempest and Shadowfire were going online? Jesus, fresh and new servers are here for fresh and new characters...

Imagine 1 new German server. Imagine 500 German players playing on the US servers... When the game is finally available for normal German people, there will already be 500 uber characters running, destroying everything in sight, making Composite Armors and Long Vibro Axes. But then there will be 20000 people running with Novice skills. These people bought the game with an idea that they will be given a chance everyone has, not to meet Master Commando first day the game is available in Germany. They probably won't be very happy. You think you would be if you were one of them?

I know it does not sound too persuading, but it's just my opinion. I know they won't make Czech server, because there aren't too many Czech players. That's something I knew from the beginning. But I really don't know why you are crying because you can't transfer your character to a new server. The devs have said that this option will be available in the future and I totally agree with them. Nothing against you, but if you bought this game, you should know that you'll need a lot of patience to survive your hard times.

So why you just don't wait 'till the moment when the characters at the European servers reach mastery in advanced professions? That will probably be the moment when the devs will make the transfer option available. Anything you need is just a patience.

Howgh, that's just my 2 halirs.

Sorry for any mistakes I made.

And for my brother, I'm going to put some cameras and microphones to superintend him because "mistakes" are not allowed in the human society.

Can you point out where they said they would allow server transfers when the euro servers come on line? I've never seen it.

Maybe if you followed the EULA of one account-one player then this wouldn't have happened. If you're going to break the EULA then complain that it's SOE's problem, you're not going to get any sympathy here.

what i call a bad economy is not enough peole harvesting, so you cant find all the ressources you need to build stuff... doctor stuff require like 40 ressources on 8 différent planets, so that mena a lot of advanced gamers... I think you whine because you juste sux at the game, and thats just an excuse for being incompetent, transfer or no transfer.

What, like when the servers first started up? Wow! You mean medics couldn't make medicines when the servers first started becaue they couldn't get the resources? How on earth did they manage to keep healing me?

I only see you whining about not being able to transfer. The people who are against transfers have nothing to whine about.

On SWG this is a complete nonsense.

If you are a noob fighter, you will hunt on tatoine/corelia/naboo and will not compelte with high level fighter that hunt on lok/endor,...

If you are a noob artisant you will not be able to buy haversters, so you will rely on advanced artisans for ressources an as well as training.

So your points is totally wrong...

The truth its the exact oposite...

And i think you are not european, because if you would be, you would pay $$$$$$ to have transfer, or just QUIT if it is not possible, you dont know what you are talking about. You are just here to argue for nothing...

About the only thing correct in this post is describing it as nonsense. "Noob" combat professions do not have the certificates to use the weapons a master weaponsmith can make, so what exactly will the master weaponsmith be selling? CDEF rifles all round.

As a "noob" artisan, 2 days into the game, I was running a harvester and a wind generator, which I traded from another "noob" artisan. It's not difficult with a little planning.

How do you think the current servers started up without masters? We all bootstrapped ourselves to where we are now. Why should a european launch be any different apart from to satisfy those who jumped the gun and bought the game before it was released in Europe.

I play without about 40 other europeans who imported the game when it first came out. None of us expected to be able to transfer when Euro servers arrived, we treated our time on the US servers as our own beta for the game.

Hopefully those who say they will quit unless there are transfers really will quit. That's one chunk of whiners that we won't have to put up with on the Euro server boards.

Yeah, so a 2 month delay after servers go live would be in place.

First of all, my CE-package didn't state that it was US only, I can't find those words on the box/terms of use/cd-box/manual either. SOE-coworkers (probably Holocron or Q3PO) told us that char transfers would be allowed for Europeans, that alone gives us a right to "demand" the transfer. And there's a big difference between a transfer for an American to change to another American server and an intercontinental transfer, although I understand the size of the USA and the east/westcoast distance.

I'd like: A delay of 2 months after EU servers go live, a "bare" transfer - no items, no money, only skills and xp

You are looking for evil where there isnt, and you dont understandand our european problems...

Explaining your opinion is fine, but don't speak for all european people. Some do prefer a fresh start.

Depending of course how many servers they open, but, couldn't they just open servers with and servers without char transfer capacity?
