Thread: Bounty Hunter changes...
I have been a MBH for over a month now. I injoy it very much! Mostly I LOVE to Kill Jedi!!
I am the only Master in the Lager CityI live in, in saying that when I am in my City I am bomb bared with People wanting to Duel me. I am very good at playing MBH and Win in most casses. How ever I am so weak after the duel iI have to have a healer or rest for the next guy. In a large battle with Rebs and Imps I find it very Hard to stay alive. There is no defence (my spelling sucks i know). I use almost ever weapon and i use three types of armor so I know how to fight.
There needs to be some change in the uses of HAM or up the defence in a BIG way!!
My major problem witch is fu*king p*ssing me off more than anything is. When i get a Jedi mission, The Droud Is Bugged and dose not give the planet or location of the Mark. Nor am i able to call a seecker to hunt eather. This is so Fu*king annoying it is driveing me mad and broke. I am traveling all over the God for dam Galaxie Looking for the SOB only to find I am running out of money.
I am not writeing this to be told i cant sell or i cant play so please dont.
hey i have a suggestion for master bounty hunter. i think that they should get some major defensive things at master bounty hunter. the reason y is that it costs 207 skill points to be a master bounty hunter and only 92 to be a master teras kasi. if a master bh went against a master tk its no competition the master tk wins every time. just wondering where the ballace is. this isnt the only example look at master pistoleer master fencer master pikesman they all cost 93 skill points to master and its totally unballaced tword the master bounty hunter that costs 207. this point cost makes it so that the bh cant get a mastery in any other skill class since he only has 43 skill points left to spend. and if u look at the other skill classes i mentioned they get 157 left which means they can master doctor or some other skill that throws the ballance way off again i think the bh class needs re evaluated because as of now their is no perk in being a master bh then to see how many times u can get killed in a row by some jedi.
i'm with cyberfett, i been playing towards master bounty hunter since launch, was on investigation 3 when this patch came out, and it really cheapens all the effort i put into getting as far as i did. Granted i was happy to finally finish out investigation, but this wasn't the way i wanted to finish it out. I would have rather had the revered respect of people knowing i did over 1000 buggy arse bounty missions. And all just because of holocron whiners... and he's right... we won't get any fixes to the buggy missions for a long time now since we got a little "dev - touch" recently, they won't be back to us until we get cold again.

thats exactly what i thought too...there's no perks for being a master. any combination of BH coupled with pistoleer or carbineer has a great advantage over an MBH.
I mastered BH about 2 weeks ago and quickly retired. I would have liked to finish out my career as an MBH but mastery is a big sacrifice. once i achieved mastery i found myself at a crossroads. Do I...(a) learn some medic skills so i can heal myself? (b) take up pistoleer to gain defenses plus stoppingshot and a melee KD? (c) start on carbinier so I get some defenses and the ONLY reliable range KD in the game? (d) learn ranger so i can at least attempt to track jedi?
I chose c. it makes for a great PvE template. so heres the rub...in order to do this, i had to sacrifice the medic skills, the pistoleer specials and defenses (much more suited to PvP), and the only way to track jedi. this is enough for me to conclude that the MBH is an incomplete profession.
since then i have given up the LLC and investigation branches to master carbinier (still in progress). this template is a lot of fun. I'm much more efficient in PvE and PvP alike (odd). I have more consitently damaging attacks (especially since mitigation was introduced) and unlike MBH, master carbinier wont take me 5 months to master.
In essence, MBH is NOT even a profession. consider it an offensive skill set that you can pick and choose from to supplement your chosen profession. even if all you want is the ability to hunt jedi...thats available too, just grind your way to ivestigation 3. Mix 'n' match all you want...theres really no limit to the number of BH hybrid templates that are superior to MBH. this is because you can really mold your BH-hybrid to do anything an MBH can do and, do it better.

Yes but Bounty Hunter does not = combat, descriptively they are NOT a pure combat profession, any elite marksman prof or brawler prof is a pure combat proffesion.
A Bounty Hunter hunts bounties, as a rule he would be bringing those people back alive, a Bouthy Hunter is a tracker and investigator, somebody who uses cunning, tracking and an impressively diverse aray of equipment to achieve thier mission.
In a straight up fight against an elite combat prof, they BH should have NO advantage.
However give the BH extra abilities, hes a scout and a tracker right able to survive in hars environments and chase his mark anywhere, well thats provided with Master Scout.
Personally I think a BH should get some "man-trapping" skills throughout the tree, would make sense to me, alot of the time the BH wont want to kill thier mark.
And when the fixed all the seeker driod line and added more content for investigation it will all be good.
Still they could do with a few more defensive bonuses, it's pretty poor, but if you do that there is nothing to stop them stacking there improved defensive skills with the pistol defense to.

Keeping in mind that this is a game and not real life would help. In real life if I were to want to be a bounty hunter I would sure like to have (and in RL I could have. No skill point limits) Commando skills for the 'mark' that resists.

Well we have a little more than 'Just' BH. Master Marksman and Master Scout are required to be a BH.

Could you maybe make your statement these 'whining' holocron Kiddies? We did not choose this path the holocron did not choose this path. Some silly random number generator chose the path when we were created.
Only thing I have to whine about at the moment is that *IF* I choose to follow the path I will have to give up my pets and companions. And with the nerf bat applied to CH to LOWER the xp per action it will take a long time for me to get it back even if I decide later to do so.

Umm they do wear out. Ever notice in the investigation tree how you have Tracking Droid # ability.
What that ability does is allow you to reuse your Droids X many times. For instance lets say I had Track Droids +4. That means I can use FIND AND TRACK 4x with each USE of a SEEKER DROID.
Now if I use simply the FIND command my Seeker Droid decreases after 1 USE, or one use from my stack of 10.
I have tested this theory many times and it does work this way.. Well at least for me...
