I cant remember the last time I got to TALK my BH mission into submission...I had to engage in COMBAT with them.
What is the Pre-Req for BH??? COMBAT XP

A master Bounty Hunter should be able to take 2 or even 3 players on at the same time in my opinion.... UNBUFFED!
Comon! You master 2 professions to get to this level you deserve to be exactly what your profession is... ABOVE ELITE.
TKM's and Pistoleers shouldnt be able to basicly makea MBH thier pervebrial "female dog".
The only level of profession that should be able to even hold its own toward a bounty hunter is a jedi.
They seriously need to rethink the "balance" in this game.
Now that i have been a Master Bounty Hunter for a couple Months i have been doing a lot of PvP, solo and with groups. The Bounty Hunter profession is about as useless in pvp as a dancer. Seems everyone is jumping on the band wagon and is either a Pistoleer/smuggler, Pikeman or TKA. The BH CANNOT COMPETE with these 3 classes! Smugglers LAST DITCH is out of control 2 shots and i am incapped, as well as TKA 2min Knockdown followed by a thrashing, I cant last 10 seconds against these powerful attacks! We Bounty Hunters have NO DEFENSES, i get hit left and right and rarely dodge or resist KD, meanwhile Pistoleers and TKA's are dancing circles around me and dodging everything i throw at them. THIS IS WRONG AND OBVIOUSLY UNBALANCED UNFAIR GAMEPLAY!!!!!!! Our class requires the most skill points as well as patience and Dedication, i have been on the path to Master Bounty Hunter since launch and now that i have been here and experienced it i am EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED and feel LET DOWN by SOE. In order for me to compete with these classes in PvP do i need to copy their template and drop months of BH training? PLEASE TELL ME I DONT HAVE TO DROP MASTER BOUNTY HUNTER TO HAVE FUN IN PVP!!!!! For the Love of God please fix this broken class, i pay good money to have fun and compete in a FAIR game.

Just think.. the reason Bounty Hunters are now so lacking compared to the other classes is because SOE Developers listened to whining Smugglers, Pistoleers, Carbineers and TKA's in August and believed them.
Since then they have been beefed up and BH has stayed nerfed.. So now they wipe the floor with us.
Well, I am playing as a BH now, heading forMaster,and I really like the profession, it is good, and you CAN win duels with it, you can also pretty easy defeat the precious TKA, but they are also not hard to loose against. We can take out a commando, Pistoleer/smuggler is on the other hand a hard thing to defeat.
Well, I dont think they shall make us uber, but I think we should get better tracking droids, and a person tracking skill. I am a 0-0-3-0 tracker now just because I need to be it. It is essential for a BH to track down a target, we have after all, mastered the Scout profession.
I also think that we should stand better against smugglers, but you cant have anything, and I think it works good now, the pistoleer on the other hand is a real PVP profession, they shall often defeat us, but not always.
As many other says, a BH is a guy who shall take out his enemy quickly, or never.
Please, take some time in our professions, you dont have to improve stuff, just make them work.
The BH takes the longest time to master within the combat proffessions, so please dont make it the most buggered one.
I just wanted to add to the thread for the sake of adding to it.
I have been on since day 2 (ppl who say they were on since day 1 are lying, it didn't work on day one:smileyvery-happy
and made BH with my alt in a little over a month, MBH soon followed.
It was fantastic! Can you say /underhandshot ?? "Holy wipe the floor with you Batman!" To be a MBH was where it was at. No one and I mean no one, even had a chance against you. Keep in mind this is back when the first series of LLCs where coming out and composite armor was unheard of. It was a time when a MBH could indeed take out 2-3 players with a DH17 and a scout blaster.
THEN THE BAT CAME....
Needless to say, BHhas been lame ever since. LAME LAME LAME. As for PvP, a BH or MBH may as well be swinging a rubber chicken. I had an LLC that hit at 2.6 for 746 andnear perfect laser carb that did 276 at 1.4 and I could'nt hit crap (yes I tried the LLC in PvP intitially...who didn't)!! I then dropped MBH and went pistoleer/carb/BH in hopes to get some help with my aim...nothing.
Anyhow, I have since dropped the BH line all together...it's crap. I've become one of those TK/SM/Fencer/PKMN that scare the hell outta anyone with the words Master Bounty Hunter or Avenger above their heads. Don't get me wrong, I love BH and I still have my beautiful weapons ( you name it I have it and it's badA$$) in hopes that the devs will nerf it back. Although, with all of the BE/DE/CMs screeming, and rightly so, I figure it'll be at least a year before anything is really done.
I realize this post does nothing to help the problem (as if any post could) but it was a nice little vent. If you BHs out there really want to help...drop BH. SWG with no BHs and an outright refusal to the BH tree would get a reaction faster than ppl climbing the BH tree and using their LLCs on the local wildlife.

I used to be a BH but due to the balance issue I switched up, very recently as a matter of fact. However, I am always interested in possible changes to BH that may bring me back. As for the PvP issue...Look losers, right now I am a TK/SM and as many of you already know as a BH PvPing a melee class you can start out at 64mand in a second that TK (or what have you) will chase you down and kill you. You'll here that boot stepping in dog$hit sound and you'll be on your back. "If you're arrogant enough...." Oh' give me a break! How many ppl just stand there 2 feet from a melee class and start going toe to toe?! As a BH you back up and hit them with a carb or pistol (something other than an LLC) and hope for the best (Hopefully you have some Pistoleer or Carbiner skills as well).
Well, as a TK (ex. BH) type I'll tell ya this (directed to all you "If you let him get close you deserve it schmucks") I have a little macro I use for hunting, it looks like this /follow;/attack; With this I am going to chase you down, dizzy you, then knock you down. Then I'm gonna warcry and stack the most horrible specials on you that I can (sound familiar...?) As for that brief 30 sec when you were running...has anyone really ever looked at what yourranged attackaccuracy goes to while moving?? It goes in the toilet! As for stacking a bleed...you'll be dead way before it ever takes a real effect....."If you let him close then you...."...whatever.
For those of you who are ready to flame, keep this in mind. I love BH and when they balance it out then I'll be back. Should a BH be the end all and be all of the combat class?-yes! Should it be a sure fire win in PvP every time?-No!...I mean come on, the points made previous to this post in regards to actual balancing are on the money.
For those of you who continue to chat up "Well I....blah...blahh...If you let him close enough...blah" If you happen to have won in the past, you got so lucky it's stupid! It's too bad you can't see it, and as for future exploits I can assure you that a novice TK or Swordsman, Fencer (whatever) will kick your a$$ six ways from Sunday 9 times outta 10.
So please for all our sakes (directed at those "If you let them get close...") quit acting like anyone with a BH beef just logged on for the first time yesterday. It's really getting oneveryones nerves.

Thanks bro... although I always though a BH's weakness should be a melle type... but we even get owned by ranged dablers now... sigh... or the rare Architect/Merchant/Master Rifleman... so sad... really

LOL. I'd like to see who here could actually manage the popular Bounty Hunter issues to the satisfaction of all parties. More power to you if you think you can. And I sure as heck ain't gonna tell you that you can't. I'm all out of liquid asbestos. There ARE actually bugs and glitches (droids, Jedi missions, etc.) that need to be addressed, as there are for all classes. That's the nature of the game. Observe, Confer, Plan, Enact, Observe. It's the Balance of the Professions that I'm interested in here.
- Are BH's supposed to be'marquee' professionals? Yessir.
- Do they spend the largest amount of SPs to master this combat class? Yessir.
- Should they be able to take on other classes and win hands down? Uh, no.
- Should they win more often than not? Maybe.
Now, if I took a Master BH against a character who had ONLY Mastered CH or TKA or Rifleman, then yes, the BH should win hands down. But, if I decide to split out my points between mastering Rifleman or Pistoleer and some support skills to enhance my combat effectiveness, then it should be a pretty even fight. The best player should win, not anyone's single estimation of what the best profession is. That would be balance.
Don't romanticize the BH to be the champion solo fighters of the galaxy.
The beauty of the skill point system is that everyone can configure their character to be what they want. Everyone has an equal number of points to play with. You can either find your strength in specializing, or you can find it in diversifying. At least, that's how it's supposed to work.
And lastly, balancing such a vast undertaking as SWG involves a whole lotta cooperation and communication and criticism from the community. We need to accumulate constructive comments for the developers (y'know, those people who are the target of so much contempt) to use as a knowledge base with which to make improvements. I think the Martians call it Feedback, or somesuch.
Those whocall players with oppositional views 'whiners', or call the developers 'idiots', don't seem to grasp the concepts of community. If you want the game to be about YOU and YOUR opinions, then I'm cool with that. Best of luck to you. Me? I'm of the mind that if I were a developer, I'd be more inclined to read a post that started with "This is what I've noticed..." or "In my opinion..." rather than one which began with "You guys are idiots..." or "Those other professions are whining morons..."

Id just like to say that MBH box needs a great boost of modifiers. Has anyone really looked at all the crap you get at master tka? Give master bh's something like that at master. Right now we get jack but carbine accuracy and driod tracking. Make the hardest box in the game(other than jedi) worth attaining.

First of all their fists have the range of stretch armstrong. I have been hit up to 40 meters away, and knocked down.
2nd of all in a DUEL it is very very very very very very very very hard to get out of range, unless they are stupid enough to challenge you first.
3rd of all, if a tka catches you inside a building, game over.
4th of all, even if they are out of range who gives a **edit**? you cant hit them, you cant do damage to them it doesnt matter. You can run as fast as your lil BH feeties can carry you but eventually they will get within 30 meters of you, and when they do its over.
5th of all, run from a tka, take **edit** from them for the rest of the day because you kited them and are a **edit**, and need to learn how to play the game correctly
Interesting little story about a tka. I was walkin around on datooine, and I had 2 of my missions right in range of each other
I am almost a master bh (3-4-3-3) with a few pistoleer suppliments, not much but just a few
Allright, this little badass, has taken out all the creatures from my hives, thats 4 longhorn females, PLUS his mission, witch was a huurton matron lair.
A huge circle of corpses around him, and he has almost full life, and he has no buffs to my knowledge.
I can barely take out 2 longhorn females if they help each other with my scatter pistol. This little **** has taken out not only 4 of them, but a shiestload of huurtons with his freakin fists.
