The point is.. this game is boring now, most people have grinded out the yang and were looking forward to getting the chance to be Jedi.. or at least be on the path. They are bored.. they have done profession after profession.. they have been to all POI's and done all quests.. They have been here since day 1 waiting for their chance to be Jedi. Some grinded like maniacs and others decided to wait, all have paid monthly, so whether you grinded you heart out or you sat patiently waiting for this day to come.. EVERYONE has paid. Everyone that has been here looking forward to today deserves their chance. They don't deserve to hurry up and wait any longer. It's just not cool.. The devs really screwed up this time and they know it.. They can't explain what the deal is, because I'm not even sure they know what they did in this patch... This is rediculous and stupid.. SOE if you don't want to lose alot of your income, then you might wanna fix this.

Unlocked post 9. Been on for like 6 hours starting since patch up this morning. Have almost every badge in game and unlocke d on #28. Petitioned got: can't devulge information about game workings and blah-blah. Told me to play around normally for a couple of weeks. Right. Already: Inner Glow, Force is with you, going with God,Nikes and Convers, Greeks and Trojans, ect...but hard to keep Forcing yourself to pay, I mean play when there really isn't too much to do online, out in the wilderness. Waiting for an old man to appear. Waiting for your turn.
I read that TH said if you unlocked post 9 you are automatic, just have to wait. How many weeks?
Don't mean to add to gripe thread, but this is just plain boring now.

in about 6 months you'll get a visit from the old man, and you can start the quests! yay!! /sarcasm off
seriously TH, i know you said long series of quests, but isnt this a little too long to wait? 1-3 days ok, but for us that didnt unlock between pub 9-10 it may be at the end of phase 2 before we get our visits? just plain stupid.... theres nothing for us vets who didnt feel like hologrinding to do anymore in this game..... its depressing really....

This is classic SOE... finally a solution to the hologrinding that ruined the game, but nobody can access the content. Tomorrow we will see the old man after the patch to fix his spawning and maybe then doctors can heal themselves too.

All good info, especially seeing as i now qualify for a visit from the old man under the new system as well as probably the old system.
But you have greatly dissapointed me with your lack of compensation for hologrinders, it doesnt matter if there is a strong correlation as you say. There will be hundreds who still have only there 4 holo proffesions done desspite maybe having grinded 20 something proffesions. This is a poor system of conversion that will likely lead to a few cancelations. It isnt fair that someone on 4 proffesions have the same unlock as me on 16 proffesions and neither is it fair that I have the same credit assinged to me as someone who has done 25 proffesions, this has been done poorly and puts a black mark on an otherwise very good looking system and patch.

from what i heard if u go afk and the man appears and u dont respond within(what i know from TC2) 5 mins he walks away and u have to wait til ur turn comes up again.

I agree that changing the number of profs without telling us was to say the least !@#%^ up. but what i meant was not complaining everytime its not exactly the way we want. thats part of the reason it changes somuch. everyone wants it tailored to them. think how many different groups there are in the game. they all want it better for themselves which is understandable but they have to remember how many different people this game has to please. i think the devs do read the boards, and then feel like crap so they crank out quick fixes to appease, when all it does it distract them from the core problems. all i was saying is we're apart of that.

Ok i am confused and i dont want to read ever page of this forum to find the answer so can some one tell me that if your in the automatic croud for getting to your silent proffession do you still need to glow to be visited or will you be visted wether or not ?

We are meant to enjoy the game as a whole, not just Jedi, or making credits, it should be the whole experience. They can't center the game around one group or another all they can do is try and make it best for eveyone. This game will only get better! People compare it to EQ and others, but how long has EQ been around!!! I bet if you could read forums from when EQ came out they would be the same. You have to give it time. A year is not a long time. And this game will only get better if we make it. Threating to cancel only encourages the problem. They will scramble to appease those who threaten instead of focusing on the core game. Those who think we have no effect on what happens in the game, you're wrong. What we do on these forums, and in the game will always effect it, just not the way you think. If you are truly unable to enjoy this game then leave, thats whats best for you, its your money and you should spend it on something that makes you happyBut for me I want to stay and enjoy the good parts, and there are many if you look instead of grinding, and help make the bad parts better or go away. Im sure I'll get flamed, even though I don't wish to hurt anyone with this. Or worse no one will read it, or those who do won't care. But I had to say my peace for me and for those who feel the same way. As for us, we'll keep playing, laughing, and struggling and some day this game will live to its potential. Sorry for rabbling.

it has nothing to do with ass kissing, why would i care what the devs think of my post. it won't change anything. i was just stating my opinion on what makes this game what it is. just that we're part of the problem too.
