Sometimes it amazes me how little the majority of the people who whine on these boards actually bother to READ THE DAMN FORUMS BEFORE LAUNCHING INTO THEIR MISINFORMED RANTS!!!
Now that that is out and clear.
What TH posted about was the credit that Hologrinders are getting in the path to FS.
His last post in this thread clears up alot of fuss, the gist of what he is saying is this:
Player (A) - If you hologrinded your required professions pre-10 then you will get a visit from the old man in 1-3 days. (nothing to do with the new system as far as I can see)
Player (B) - If you meet all the requirements under the NEW system (Badges=/checkForceStatus "glowy") pre-10 then you will ALSO get the visit in 1-3 days.
Simple really. Don't ya think? Please stop the whining now it just makes you look bad.
PS: /checkForceStatus ONLY shows your progression under the NEW system that was implemented with Pub10!!! NOT your progress under the hologrind system NOR you hologrind credit!!!
PPS: If you haven't heard about the new system (this "glowy" business) then why don't you read the Test Center Forum?? Hmm.... It's all there ready for you to read and learn... They Tested this system out for crying out loud, and they posted all about it. Search the forums before crying foul!! It just makes you look bad.
PPPS: It has already been mentioned in a DEV post that the current group of people (ie the automatic group) should get a visit from the old man in 1 to 3 days!!! Not instantly! Not right now, right when you log on! But in 1 to 3 days! Are you people telling me that you can't handle 1 to 3 days? If so, pay your shrink double and get him to fix you properly, and yes it was all your mums fault.
PPPPS: That last line was humour, just so ya know.

Ok Folks Hate to beat this dead Horse but your gonna love this, i have had 2 existing jedi check the village today, and low and behold , not one NORMAl person has been in the village, lol, lol, buahahaha im loosing my mind, can a dev explain this ? Will you explain this ? wave 1, 1-3 days, ? comon guys this is not longer humerous, lol i have set in the wilderness and waited for an old man all day, dont i look stupid, lol, ok whos idea was it to play Aprils fool in August, lol. Please activate the waves, the old man or something that will have some progress as you can see im not the most Forum posting fewl, but i sure have been driven here by a CSR email today, lol

We are meant to enjoy the game as a whole, not just Jedi, or making credits, it should be the whole experience. They can't center the game around one group or another all they can do is try and make it best for eveyone. This game will only get better! People compare it to EQ and others, but how long has EQ been around!!! I bet if you could read forums from when EQ came out they would be the same. You have to give it time. A year is not a long time. And this game will only get better if we make it. Threating to cancel only encourages the problem. They will scramble to appease those who threaten instead of focusing on the core game. Those who think we have no effect on what happens in the game, you're wrong. What we do on these forums, and in the game will always effect it, just not the way you think. If you are truly unable to enjoy this game then leave, thats whats best for you, its your money and you should spend it on something that makes you happyBut for me I want to stay and enjoy the good parts, and there are many if you look instead of grinding, and help make the bad parts better or go away. Im sure I'll get flamed, even though I don't wish to hurt anyone with this. Or worse no one will read it, or those who do won't care. But I had to say my peace for me and for those who feel the same way. As for us, we'll keep playing, laughing, and struggling and some day this game will live to its potential. Sorry for rabbling.

Okay...for all the people still asking about when they get in...it's pretty simple:
Basically, you grind out 32 professions, you are gonna get a visit soon. If you were on the path before the patch hit, logged on and had an inner glow, you are gonna get a visit soon.
Those afterwards are going to have a to wait a little bit, unfortunately...

I'm not going to whine like all these other pansies...it is how it is, deal with it.
One question:
1. What happens if you go afk and the old man appears...does he stay there or despawn and you've missed your chance?
Going on 12 hours waiting for the old geezer and i'm a post 9 unlocker....weow

they probably haven't "turned on" the old man yet for people, i mean why release today if you're not even getting anyone through "1-3" days is cause they still have issues and its not really a surprise that we have problems. just tell us!!! c'mon better than having 45 pages of complaints. you already have opened your mouth enough for one day by confessing to the holo slient professions being increased. just "do the right thing" and tell us you got a problem. keep that truth flowing for a couple more hours

- I did 32 profesions where you say that would put you automatically in the town. I still have yet to see the old man

This just seems to be a plot to hold everyone on a string for them to bring in more money. TH's is just something to keep us busy, its overly vague on everything! perhaps as the account cancelations start rollingin and the cash stops rolling in they will learn to respect the people who pay their bills.

ok im now even more confused here...i logged on today and it said "you feel a surge of the force "...I finished nyms quest and got "you feel an inner glow:The force is with you"...now i had done every badge listed in the personal thingy except the corvette badges so you def dont need those at all to do it...i think
because what im confused about is eveyrone keeps saying the word ""Glowy""....and one person said "you feel one with the force"..
am i not rdy?
is the innerglow: the force is with you the /check response i want or what???

This simple question has not been clairified yet!
If you loggedin today and got the "inner glow" upon /check, do you qualify for an auto visit from the old man? Or are you put in the holo queue like everyone else?
I personally mastered 21 profs and when i logged on, i got the inner glow message after /check. So am I in the auto qualification list or the group list?

Ok, this is just my opinion-
SOE pushed this patch live and something went wrong, the old man doesnt work in live. If im wrong would someone please post and let me know they saw the old man. On my server radiant all i see going into the village is people who are already jedi, and they all tell me the same thing, that the village is empty. I unlocked before publish 10 and have been on since ther server came online this morning. and of course no old man, just like everyone else. I also believe that SOE doesnt want to come out and tell us they are having technical problems as we the players are about 1 tick from exploding already. But like i mentioned before this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
