"All I wanted out of this publish was my extra character slot. I had no desire to be or play a Jedi. Now I have to surrender skills to free up points and waste all the time and effort to level up to padawan just to get my extra character. And all that is after I sit around a wait for my chance to et my visit and go to the village (which will probably be more like months instead of the weeks everyone seems to be predicting).
between this and professions that have been broken since day 1 I'm wodering if SWG is really worth my monthly fee anymore."
My thoughts exactly... and I think the answer is 'no, the monthly fee is no longer worth paying'!!!
I have to be honest. i always read the posts about people saying they are going to quit, and I think those people are annoying and just clutter up the forums, but I'm sitting thinking this might be the only recourse for such horrible service. It's about managing expectations. There are tons of books about it.. read one... hell, just read the jacket.
I pay for 3 accounts, and I really feel like I'm being laughed at for it.
lol sounds about right .. we will find out next week that its bugged and the devs just found out about it

im willing to bet a melon that the old man wont be turned on till friday. that way all the existing jedi can run around the village and collect their 1337 lewtz while everyone else gets shafted for a few more days.
I have a feeling you may be right in the fact that the old man is not turned on yet. Guessing that today is not counting as day one in the one to three day group. Tomorrow might start the one to three day group allowing current jedi to go through the village today in order to get the quest rewards. It seems fairly assinine to restrict new content to only those people it was not created for on patch day, but I wouldn't doubt it. Then again I wouldn't doubt it is broken either. Haven't heard of a soul seeing the old geezer... really striking me odd that no one has seen it.
Then again maybe the emporer has him in the basement with whips, chains, and hawtpants for the duration of patch day.

Well, I didn't hologrind at all - in fact, I've never owned a holocron, except for a Sith Holo that I keep as a decoration. I've done 5 professions in the year I've been playing - Tailor, Merchant, Marksman, Teras Kasi, and Artisan, and there's no way that I hit all 5 holo-professions by blind luck. But, I've done all the POIs and have enough other badges to be "one with the force", so I qualify under the new system.
Well, which is it?
To be clear:
On the first day of Patch 10, Galaxies gave to me
