Why don't you try using a Flamethrower on a Tank, Genious and see how that turns out?

AT ST's are Powerful Machines Deployed by the Empire to Destroy enemy installations, vehicles, homes, etc... The Empire is a Military Organization with the resources to Employ these, machines. It makes no sense, whatsoever, that they would be easily destroyed. I agree that so many things have been changed to please this or that group that the game is rapidly losing its value and Star Wars Immage. Everyone runs around with 80% Kinetic Composite and fully buffed, taking out just about anything in the game solo, except maybe a Krayte or Kimo. Skills and ability mean less in PvP than what armor, buffs or food you got. All in all alot of things don't make any sense... I just want to know if this is gonna get fixed at all or I'm outta here!

Real bad job on the AT-ST nerf/balance they need to be beefed up with much higher resists + keep the high hamand let people use 3 at one time as the game was designed. Master Ch is for pets not for AT-STs there is a difference between a dog and a walking machine giant. There is pretty much no reason to be imp anymore the bad job by the devs on nerfing at-sts made more people leave the empire as a result there is way to many rebels on my server. It's so sad must be like 9 to 1 ratio. The devs need to give people a reason to be imperial more perks revamp the at-st make it alot better not take away a last reason to even give the empire a try.
Also a AT-ST in the movies is a vehicle like swoop, speederbike, etc. you should be allowed to ride in your AT-ST if you want to.

I just wanted to add that the Master Ch comment was because it's been said only ch's should be allowed to have out pets and at-sts but I disagree. There is a difference between animal pets and machines of war. Maybe have the amount of At-Sts you can control linked to your rank but not to the fact you are ch or not. Bottom line is the no great perks in the empire equals great imbalance in the game way to many rebels.

Well lets think about what an ATST is supose to be
ATST= TANK like a BIG M1 abrams TANK....
Now my questions to the Weble who wants to be able to solo aATST with a cdf riffle
In real life can you take out a M1 tank with a riffle......ahhh NO.. Should you be able to in a game ahhahah only if your a woos.. who cant play the game
But A master riffle man can kil a ATST with a T21 in less than 30 sec;s
A master TKA can Do as fast oh yea a commando as well
Back to a real Tank Can bruce lee take out a real tank ahahah no.. why should a tka
Now maybe i could agree that a commando should be able to but with dificulty.... Kinda goes with what a commando is all about ...
So from what ive read here for a almost a year is ... If the game you play isnt easy Then you wont play...
Do us real players a favor and go play COH you will look good in the tights and you dont realy have to think about how to play......( i played COH for 3 days and Quit ) To easy and mind numbing....But great for kids..

Hmmm why do people try to compare real life with a Sci-FI game?
Fact in real life a recoiless rifle can disable or destroy a tank.
Fact in real life a sticky bomb is still deadly vs tanks.
Fact in real life a hand gernade can disable or destroy a tank.
Fact Tanks need Infantry men to clear the way in tight enviroments because they can be disabled/destroyed so easy.
A M1, M1A1, M1A2Tank can be stoped and the crew forced out very easy with no weapons if you know what to do.
Biggest mistake in life is a asumption.
The AT-ST is fine and balanced for AFTER the combat balance.
When composit armor is caped at 50% effectiveness.
When buffs are lowered.
And when specials can not be spammed back to back.
Then rebels will need atleast a small group to even take one on again.
many will yell and scream Nurf but I doubt it will happen at that point as most of the resources will be put into Jump To Light speed at that point.

this argument would make sense if not for that fact that at this point in te SW timeline, the Rebs are horribly outgunned by the Empire. they are not on equal footing at all. i'll let you in on a little secret: i decided to be an Imp because i thought it woul be easier to play. being a big SW fan, i knew that playing a crafty Rebel, barely surviving on my wits against the all powerful Empire would be too hard for my tastes. so what have i gotten for playing as an Imp and earning an AT-ST? i now get my ass kicked by Rebels who greatly outnumber me and i don't dare use my AT-ST because they will slaughter it and i'll have wasted 9k FP.

instead of CHs having 3 AT-STs it should be Squad Leaders. Why? because AT-STs are not creatures therefore they do not behave the same way because they are basically humans piloting a big machine. Squad Leader would seem more appropriate since they seem to deal with humans

This might be a moot point after so much posting on the subject but here goes.
Once upon a time, the Empire was mighty. Storm troopers and At-St's roamed the streets and countryside ferreting out the supports of the Rebel Alliance. The sound of metal stomping and heavy lasers blasting made all but the most powerful Rebels run or call for reinforcements. Once upon a time, the Empire was strong.
And then.. From the ashes of the Rebel bases and out of the ranks of the resistance came new heroes. And they packed the big guns. Commando became a profession that worked! Finally, the Rebel forces had the power to fight back with the aid of these rocket launching and flame-throwing fighters.
and now --
Where have all the at-sts gone? Where is the might of the Empire? The at-sts rust away.. Ghosts in datapads. Now the mechanical menaces fear not commandos.. but daylight. We need not rocket launchers to fight them.. but.. stone knives?
I root for the underdog.. so now I play for the Empire. Are we still in a galactic war? I fear that the Empire has already fallen.. How sad. It might be more fitting to restore the at-sts, give them to the Alliance, and juxtapose everyone's faction tag.
I imagine that the rebel commandos must be bored now. How sad.

for my character on flurry, i must say that it is a relief to be able to take out At-St's with ease, and for my tempest char who owns a At-St (but has never used, still has that new mechine scent) i must say that the At-St was thw worst 18k faction i ever spent. heck ST armor was more usefull to me that that At-St. at least the ST brought in some cash before it dissppeared.
