If anyone can show us how to duplicate and repeat any of these errors consistently, it would be very helpful.

Step 1: grind out Chemical Survey Tools until you reach Business III
Step 2: buy and place a house
Step 3: create and place a vendor (don't forget to initialize it)
Step 4: craft a casual shirt in an ugly color that no one wants
Step 5: list it on your vendor for 1 million credits (just to make doubly sure no one buys it)
Step 6: wait 13.95 days
Step 7: open up the 'Items For Sale' screen on your vendor
Step 8: wait a few more minutes

Poof! no more casual shirt.

This works with expensive items too

Here's a helpful hint.. turn off auto item deletion in vendors in a hot fix right now.. then, you can all scratch whatever it is that you scratch later as you figure out who forgot to do what and where you forgot to do it.

No online game in history has lost as much game data as you guys have!

First rule of first aid.. stop the bleeding.. check the breathing.. then diagnose and repair. Cripes!

Very very disappointing!

(and no, no one wiped out items to clean the database. thats just silly.

I dont really think thats what happened, that was just anger talking after loosing several 100k in credits value of poofing items...

Why don't all you Merchants top cheating the house limits by storing things in you vendors, I have to follow the rules and you don't. I can personally say I am glad these things are happening maybe if the items were up for sale instead of storage you guys would not be having this issue.

This step is optional... it will just let you watch the item disappear right before your eyes.

These items ARE LISTED FOR SALE! They are NOT in the stockroom.

TH, please reply as to why there is no message of the day warning those that dont know of this issue yet. Ive seen messages of that day, seems like an easy fix. Something like:

"Vendor Warning! Items poofing for no reason after 14 days, check your stock and relist before its been listed 14 days or risk losing the item with no chance of reimbursement by CSRs".

BECAUSE ITS A STEALTH SINK HOLE TO REMOVE ITEMS FROM THE GAME AND BRING THE ECONOMY BACK DOWN.

put it on the log in menu...put it SOMEWHERE so everybody knows...send a mass email...make a system message for all users when they login like EQ does...THIS NEEDS TO BE ANNOUNCED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to break it to ya, but items are disappearing permanently from the FOR SALE room NOT the STOCKROOM. Why do you think we merchants are all up in arms? It is because we all had our merchandise up FOR SALE and it is being deleted. It wasn't in the stockroom. So, please read the threads, and try to understand what is going on, thanks. We don't need any more confusion on the issue.

I was just having a moment of clear thought.

If a tree falls in the woods...does it make a sound?

If you don't log in do your items get deleted off your vendor...the answer is OF COURSE THEY DO.

So what does this mean? It means there is no hotfix to be done...its not your client deleting the items...its some stored procedure on their friggin Oracle (hosed to the moon) database server.

My guess is (possibly, hopefully) is that they already fixed it as its on their server side. And in traditional SOE fashion, have not communicated the change/fix at all. They are not freaking out about it because they know its fixed...meanwhile we are suffering from fear and loathing in uh...Bestine for my case.

Maybe they haven't fixed it on their end...either way...Thundergut had it right when he said they won't be able to hotfix this till December...they won't be able to hot fix it ever...they need to fix their server side scripts that are clearing this stuff off.

Thanks all...I hope this was as meaningful for you as it was for me!!!

First off I'm not a crafter. I dont generate the type of income some of you may get. This issue goes beyond just crafters though.

I have ZERO Vendors in my house. I have the house almost completly full of items. ALL THE ITEMS GONE. Sent in a response and got that only deeds and resources can be replaced. **edit** is that. I am now scared to **edit** to store anything in my house which means i have to be real selective on what i want to keep. This sucks. I have a few rare items that if they dissappeared i would be extremely p'd off. Ohh and best part is there is decay even with insurance so I cant use my character's storage for valuable armor and weapons that im not using. GRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Only deeds and resources can be replaced? **edit**?!?!?! When I lost half a million units of resources ( a lot of it high conductivity/OQ copper) I was told that NOTHING could be replaced.

Am I misunderstanding something here? Doesn't the problem kick in when there are 14 days remaining in the sale rather than 14 days after you post the sale??

Sorry, but you are missing something. The items dissappear when there are 16 days remaining on the sale, which is 14 days after they were listed. Which is what we've been repeating over and over in every single thread on this issue.
