Thanks for both this and your answer to the Ranger question. You have made one Master Ranger extremely happy. If you want some idea of how cynical some Rangers are becoming, the answer you gave was honestly very similar to the best case response I had laid out in my mind. And then you add a bit of icing to the cake.

ooooh so that's the developers intent? bounty hunters selling meat to make a living. well hell, if i had thought of that i never would have posted.

if the restriction was removed you could still master bounty hunter and master scout, since you like it so much.

listen dumbass, if they remove scout then they will also remove the high off./med defense of us since we can master another profession. your request would be to basically nerf us and make us the same as all of the other combat professions. i for one want high offense and med defense, dont you?

did you read the response? obviously not. high offense medium defense is a great objective. the point is IT WONT WORK. why? for the reasons thunderheart wrote in his own answer. oh and try thinking a bit before you go off and call someone a dumbass.

So now that Mandalorian is a class specific armour are we going to start seeing other class specific armour? For example the Pikeman community wanted Royal Guard armour pretty badly, but you claimed it would go against continuity. Now that you've decided to throw continuity out the window and release mandalorian armour as a class specific item do we have any chance of seeing our guard outfits?

I'm a bit worried about the now infamous combat balance.

I'm very enthusiastic over the fact that they will essentially fix everything at once (the only possible way to do it right). However, along with the enthusiasm comes a huge worry. Since SOOO much is changing at once (almost every one of TH's answers refer to the combat balance), there is a huge chance they could also mess things up.

Unfortunately, with so muchhope being put intothe combat balance, SOE failing at that point could mean the end of the game. TH, I'm sure SOE has taken what I've said into consideration at the table. Are there any plans to make test center more accessible the closer the combat balance comes around?

I understand test center needs to mimic a live environment to some extent, however it might be beneficial to allow all users access to XP terminals on tc2 the closer combat balance comes to live. This NEEDS to be done right, and it NEEDS to be done right the first time. Too much is at stake.

In the much maligned December Publish you did the first phase of a 4 part combat rebalancing, you nerfed every creature in the game.

You told us that with this massive reduction in power we would see that creatures under level 50 that didn't spawn babies would become the exception rather than the rule. This did not happen as you explained it to us. There are practically no new babies available in the game and all of the existing wild pets are less powerful than they used to be. Some of the rares are *so* rare that they are assumed to either not exist or to be bugged in some manner.

After promising us more types of babies in a patch that happened in December, are you *seriously* telling us that you won't even look into it until after publish 10?

We're not even asking for more power. These are relatively low level babies we're talking about. We're just asking for more fun and variety in a system whichin the past wasproven torequire more or less a flip of the proverbial switch to change.

Combat Balance:

please open the sandbox up to people who play on live.

Here are my combat characters:

- Master Bounty Hunter / Carbineer

- Carbineer / Fencer

- TKM

I was in Beta, send a ton of /bug reports (hopefully they have some utility), and have been asking for the /upload character feature to be turned on soI could helptest the combat balance since December. I would take the testing very seriously.

I just want a one way copy to the test environment and don't expect to get anything out of it other than feeling that I helped the game.

Bounty Hunter:

Thank you for acknowledging that the bounty hunter profession is low offense / low defense. It's great that the devs want to fix it so the profession is high offense /medium defense.

I agree with other players who say your arguement that the fact that we can put 33 skill points into something else would make us overpowered does not hold water because other professions have way more points leftover and can use all their skillpoints to master a second profession and still have extra points.

I really wish you answered this part of the question: "is it possible to lower the requirements for BH as the Scout linedoes not provide any benefits to the profession?" There have been extremely heated discussions about this since before the game came out, and they are growing in intensity and frequency. I think the best alternative would be to completely overhall the bounty hunter profession in much the same way you are doing for Jedi. Please read the threads on our forum about revamping the profession.

I understand that you guys are pressed for time and resources at the moment, but might you consider a major bounty hunter profession revamp in the future?

I wanted to be a bounty hunter in this game more than a year before it came out. I have never liked the profession's design since the moment I figured out how to read the skill tree in beta.

A bounty hunter is defined by what they do, and not how they do it. We should not all be carbon copies of each other. We should have the flexibility to go after our marks with our own signature styles. Bobba Fett wasn't exactly like Zam Wessel. Bossk was not exactly like IG-88. Why do I have to be exactly like every other bounty hunter in the galaxy? The only way I see to fix this is by eliminating or at least lowering the useless Scout requirements so we can put skill points into other things. I think half the profession should be about finding and tracking targets and the other half should be about flinging cool gadgets at them such as traps and wrist rockets. It could take up as many skill points as Pistoleer, but leave us the ability to pick up a vast variety of other combat skills. The exact nature of the redesigned profession could be determined later, but going back to the drawing board for bounty hunters, scrapping everything but investigation, the true heart of the profession, is something I highly recommend.

Carbineer:

Please make more guns, particularly one that does stun damage. Just a couple months ago a dev said that new weapons will come out frequently, yet only two of them have been carbines, and neither are fantastic. I hope the high HAM costs are going to be addressed in the combat balance.

Fencer:

Please make stun baton more appealing than gaffis. I have a stormtrooper character who would rather use the classic stormtrooper weapons (stun baton and carbine), but in order to get my fencing skills, I use a gaffi. A stormtrooper in full armor weilding a gaffi doesn't look right.

GCW:

you didn't really answer the question about clone camping other than saying that there will always be campers. Why not make it so no one can attack anyone within a 200m radius of a cloning center?

Jedi:

I really hope that the new lightsaber damage type is something that doesnt slice through bounty hunters like melted butter.

Scout:

If bounty hunters absolutely have to remain master scouts, please make it more useful for us than harvesting meat for money.

Smuggler:

This made my mouth water:

Ethical decisions that effect the smugglers reputation (basically, the new smuggler missions would be XP basedand focused on…well…smuggling So the smuggler would have to “smuggle” phat loot from one NPC to another without getting caught and if the smuggler chose to deliver the item, the get the XP. If they didn’t, well, it would be an XP hit, but they would keep the item

I hope this means without getting caught by player bounty hunters

I've been talking about missions just like these for many, many months.

I understand why the reward is not monetary, because you don't want bounty hunters and smugglers conspiring with each other to share the prize.

But there are ways around this problem.

If the smuggler and the bounty hunter had to put up half the money, to the victor goes the spoils. If the smuggler makes the delivery without getting caught, they get all the money. If the bounty hunter catches the smuggler before he reaches the destination and defeats him, the bounty hunter gets all the money. Also instead of delivery anything with any real inherent value, it could just be some sort of place holder. For example: a mysterious package would show up in the smuggler's inventory if he accepts the mission. Yet nothing would be in the package. This is just like regular delivery missions, except there is higher risk/reward. There would be no set amount to poney up either. If I want to risk 20,000 credits to do one of these missions, and a smuggler doesn't mind risking the same amount, either of us could stand to make a pretty penney, if we succeed.

The ironic thing about this is none of those professions are strong enough to last very long in the DWB.

Wow, thats a big middle finger to the AS profession, and everyone else who wanted Mandalorian. Proof that the devs have no freaking clue.

Thunderheart says: ....and that the Pikeman covet the Energy Lance because basically, it gives Pikeman a useful and much desired weapon.

I disagree while it is desired it is not very usefull just ask some people that have them, they look cool, but they are really subpar compared to the other loot you'd find before getting your hands on this, the damage is energy, useless in pvp and in pve blocked commonly as well, the double DoT is okay but if they were like a high psn on health and a stronger than the standard diease it may be a little better.

The new weapon in combat balance sounds good, I suggest restraint since it is not used really yet.

Alright so my questions didn't get seen...lemme try that again...

don't like it one bit actually...

Unless there's a lot I'm not seeing.

1) The whole tokens of insta-travel....

Ok so what happens when the SE hits? This will become WORTHLESS.

2) Treasure maps...great. They suck.

3) Equipment buffing? What the hell does that mean? I have to say I don't like the sound of it that much. Is that like doctor buffing your gun? Isn't that what power-ups are for? Hold me, I'm scared.

4) Spices...uh so we get 1 extra spice? What about all the OTHER spices...you know, the ones NO ONE'S buying because chef food is so much better? I'm not seeing anything but one more new spice. Sure that simplifies my production, but it's not exactly enriching my game.

5) Unarmed moves. Okay, cool. What are they? What do they do? They worth anything? Do they add to "smuggler's evading?"

Soooo...TH. Is this what I've been waiting for since launch? C'mon man, this the Smugglers ONLY chance for a revamp. It took nearly a YEAR to get this much. Smugglers will probably NEVER get this chance again. Help us out here, bro! From one beta tester to another!
