- What happens to any housing a player if he/she decides to go the path of the Jedi?
- Are the crystals and pearls still only lootable or will Jedi have the ability to acheive crystals another way?
Thanks.
Phew, thats a lot of information, but overall this looks very promising. I am quite happy, but as always, its the little things they don't tell which are the most important.
Crystals and pearls are still loot drops and even scaled to the difficulty of the killed mob. They lowered the maximum potential of pearls and crystals, meaning they just created pre nerf components and I guess we will get another price round on them.
No details on the robes. This can turn out good or bad. Same with no information about defenses.
Constantly flagged overt. Oh God. That will be one permanent TEF gank from coverts of the opposite faction. Its really no good idea to implement this before the GCW revamp. But I guess that will will really push us into hiding.
And my biggest concern is really the voting system. It will cause trouble. Its inevitable. Theres always drama even the the smallest guild. Now you force the Jedi population to vote on each other...I see a lot of trouble.
Sorry if jump on the negative aspects already. I just can't resist ![]()
But if you pull this off as intended that will be definitely a huge improvement. Of course we have tosee then how many bugs you introduce.. ![]()
Hey TH,
We really need an answer on some of these things... but my biggest question:
When I "break down" a 5th gen saber, do I get my 4 pearls back for tuning? or just the last one used??
If we get them all back, every Jedi will drop all our remaining pearls into our sabers and We'll all run around with 5th gens till publish 9. (sounds fun to me!)
Please let us know...
AND HOW WILL WE GET PEARLS? The article states that the crystal's stats will be based on the NPC it drops from, there fore we know that crystals will still be a PAIN IN THE BUTT to find. Will pearls still come from Krayts?? This means we still need to be millionaires to be Jedi, and this goes against the last Friday Feature, which talked about a current economy with a deficit.
Frosty
My thoughts exactly.

The whole hope of this new system for me was that you wouldn't have to rip apart your main. Guess that was wishful thinking. AO

For the new people who unlock after publish 10
Your main will be granted force sensitive and will be allowed to advance to jedi
Your unlocked slot will not be force sensitive but will be like your main was before you unlocked.
Which just seems really dumb to me, to be blunt.
All they have done is reverse them.
The thing people didn't like about hologrinding was ripping apart your main - not the work involved.
Sure, it's nicer to roleplay, but in terms of game systems they have just traded a bananna for a rotten bananna.
Although quested content is awesome, if the end result is I have to pull apart my main anywway I'm not interested.

Thunderheart...
Will there be a second Testcenter created for jedi to test the new system?
If so, Any idea when this may happen and how long can we test the system?
Looks to me that the new system will go live begin june but this is an entire new system and we have about 3 weeks left till it goes live, don't you think we will be too short on time to test this system?
One question
Can you lose JEDI Knight status once you have attained it? It would seem that you only lose rank by dying and not xp.
thanks
So I'll just ask and hope no one else has asked. From the description in the Friday Feature, Jedi Knights will be flagged permanently overt. There's also static gathering points for Jedi (the enclaves).
Now we all know that the server population will quickly discover where the enclaves are. They won't be able to enter, but what about people of the opposite faction of the Jedi enclave sitting outside overt, ready to kill any Jedi Knight that even approaches the enclave? Will there be anything in place to prevent this sort of thing from happening?
I am wondering what happens to those that may have unlocked their slot under the current system, but have not created a Jedi char when this goes live. Obviously, there would be relatively few players (if any) in this position, but how is that going to be handled?
