  • Males (human deifintely, other species, unecertain) have their faces become skeltal looking when their cheeks are adjusted.

  • Occasionally, windows display clothes that were not being worn when teh ID session started. My first experience was this this yesterday. My (ID'er) window was displaying his clothing correctly, but in his window he was wearing a helmet so he was unable to see any facial changes. We closed the ID session and reopened it and his display still showed him wearing a helmet (he was not). WE closed the window again. He equipped and unequipped his helmet. Same thing when sessions was started again. I had him leave the area breifly and come back not wearing them helmet. Same problem when we opened the session again. This also happened when i ID'd myself just now. I had been wearing a leotard previously. I equipped some padded armor. About 2 minutes after equipping the armor I opened an ID sessio on myself and it showed my character in teh window as wearing teh leotard again. I closed the session. I re-opened the session and was still displayed as wearing the leotard.

I have to agree with michbacks ideas.

I don't mind the time counter too much, or rather I wouldn't if there was some compensation in the experience. I wouldn't even mind if the time stacked with the experience, if the time went down as you increased in levels... for example you could start with 1 minute and 100xp make a change hair/horns whatever &add 1 min/100xp. then change the face and add 1min/100xp.... etc... as you go up in the different skills you could drop 15 seconds, so with hairstyle 1 you would add 45 sec/100xp... if you are going back and forth changing someone's look it usually takes longer than the timer anyways.

I like the stat migration, 10 min is fine... I like to play music for my customers while they wait

The image designer profession def needed some changes and this is a good start, but nowhere near the perfect solution.... in fact I think I'll do something else until this experience issue is fixed.

Doesn't it take a crafter some time to gather his resources and craft stuff, don't musicians and dancers have to dance or play for a while to give buffs - there's nothing wrong with the timer. I wouldn't mind it being a bit shorter, but the general idea behind it is pretty ok as far as I'm concerned.

Another thing, someone here claimed that being able to change torso on males is a bug, cos it can affect how your muscles look. That is not a bug, it's a feature. If you don't understand just try sliding torso and muscles around on yourself or a willing target and you'll see that they are two different properties - of males too (it's quite noticeable in the neck)

But I do wish I could see, when I ID for free (or when the customer has /tipped me),when the other guy has accepted the ID.

I'm a master tailor. There's a delay in making clothes, but I use four different tools and at times have all four of them going to produce a largerorder or restock a vendor, so I'm always doing something. Also, when I'm getting resources, I'm actually doing something, not just sitting looking at the clock.

Even mindless clicking is better than waiting for a timer. And you can't do ANYTHING while that timer is up because the window is so danged large! It's the ultimate revenge of "The Vision!" The EQ spellbook rides again!

Plus it's so inconvenient for customers. I was the only ID in Theed last night and there was a stack of people. Now I'm starting a migration, that's going to take t e n l o n g minutes. And someone comes in who wants their fur color changed, now I'm not a master and I hadn't worked on a wookie recently so I wasn't sure what I could do for him. So he's waiting while the customer and I sit for ten straight minutes, and doesn't even know if I can help him. In my tailor shop, if I had abig big order and someone came in for a shirt, I'd just make up the shirt in the middle and sell it to them quick to be convenient. The timers don't let you do that.

It was at Wanderhome's birth, so it doesn't reflect things today very well, but I made Master Tailor without grinding a single item. I made and sold things until I reached master. I just can't possibly see ever finishing the 7 boxes I have left in ID without "grinding." And the grind is dull for everyone involved. I'm not sure I can see ever finishing them period. And even if you do "grind" at a craft in practice mode, you can do it alone and anywhere you'd like. For ID you need a partner and you need to be in the tent and because of the stupid spellbook, you can't really do anything else. It really would be a lot different if I could sit in the cantina or my tailors shop and just image a friend or myself while i was doing something else.

Just had another thought... Maybe I'm not the first to post it, but anyway, here goes:

How about it if the time it took for a stat migration decreased with your skill level in ID? So that a Master IDer would be able to do it faster than a novice. Maybe the same should apply to the timers in general, not just for stat migration...

You novices won't like this, I'm sure, but I do - or else everyone will do his stats at the novice who needs the xp and will charge less for it.

But that would turn stat migration into something trivial. Something that previously took days now take 10 minutes, isn't that fast enough?

as someone who has mastered ID twice now...i started my character over and was planning on mastering ID again....but then i found now it is second only to Bounty Hunter as the hardest profession to master...........**edit** SOE? I find it very hard to find IDs now....because their are no new ones cause no ones wants to beg people to sit for hours at a time and let them ID them.

I totally agree with this. The current IDs can charge inflated prices because they know it's nearly impossible to master ID now. I had someone try to charge me 3k for a hair color change. Give me a break!

Timers, enough said -- they MUST go. I think you should be able to use a macro to master ID -- if a dancer/musican can do it, why can't ID? It's entirely too difficult and it's UNFAIR.

I'm sorry to say i have not read every response to this..........but I would like to say that .........putting a time limit on ID is one of the worst moves you could have done...........I could maybe understand 1min time limit for everything........but adding minutes as you go up..........OMG i wanted to kill my char..........very boring.......... again Just my thoughts. BTW I love this game, (other then BE and ID)....keep up the good work.
