Thread: Publish 8.1: Image Designer Issues

Issue: Toon is 'floating' in ID windows when on Lok (the animation when in deep water at rest).
I've gone to Naboo and Coronet to see if it was just Lok. Both planets were fine. Then I went to Talus to see if it had to do with the fact that there is an ID tent on the world. Talus was fine too. When I returned to Lok, the problem was back.

This happens for me also. My home base is on Lok and I'm on Gorath.

In that same 2 minutes, if I was image designing, I would get how much? Let me check my numbers, but it looks to be about 100 xp.
Overall- Awesome! Image Designers have long needed a solid market, and this created one to some degree.
But... the timer!!! Wow, what's the point? <sarcasm on> must be the Holo ID's leveling up too quickly then dropping it completely throwing the game out of balance! <sacasm off>. Plus, it is BORING, conversation or not.
Someone calculated it at 128 hours to master. I might be sterotyping here, but I don't think the average player (casual gamer, probably roleplayer)who choses and want's to be an ID is going to have the patience to go through that, especially while (like all other professions) the average customer seek's out master level skills.
I don't think that removing the timer is going to create thousand's of ID's and tipping the balance of the GCW
And for those still holo grinding, it is making them do something they would rather not for longer then can be reasonably expected in my opinion (not gettin into the insanity of holo's in the first place, thats a dead issue).
Get rid of the timer!

I have an issue with this Publish. I think that taking away a players ability to migrate their own stats is wrong, and I'll explain why. I needed 400 total stat points migrated, so I head to the ID tent in Coronet since, courtesy of this publish, I can not migrate my own. The lowest price I could find on stat migration was 50,000 credits.
Let me say that again for effect... FIFTY THOUSAND CREDITS TO MIGRATE 400 STAT POINTS.
This is a license to steal for ID, and they are taking full advantage. Why can't you let players still have the ability to migrate their own stats? Treat it like a tradition exercise/watch-what-you-eat diet and the Atkins/South Beach way. You need it done right now? Go to an ID and get your head ripped off and your pocket lightened. You don't mind a slow migration that may take a week to two weeks? Go that route, and save your money. Patience is a virtue, and should be rewarded to players that don't mind the wait. I think I'll get together with all my Doctor friends and make sure if an ID wants a buff we charge 25,000 credits minimum. That's basically what they are doing to all the players in the game.

When I was a not-quite-master CH and not-much-past-novice Pistoleer, I could make ten thousand credits in ten minutes, or thereabouts. I've heard tell of these mythical things called missions that pay thirty six thousand credits and can be soloed by a TKM or MFencer in ten minutes or a little more. I think the fair charge would lie somewhere in between that range, with allowances made downward for persons who are polite and/or have very few badges to their name (obvious new players who need a helping hand)... and allowances UPWARD for people who start off the request for a migration with a question like, "So how many houses are YOU charging for stat migration?"
I really believe that the prices we're seeing would not be so high if it didn't take ten minutes off the ID's life. Though it's probably also true that the prices wouldn't be as high if players COULD do it themselves (slowly).
Anyhow, I'd suggest people who want to discuss prices, ID-only migration and timers take the discussion to the Image Designer Profession forum - where these issues are already being 'discussed' right into the ground. Rather than here, which seems to be more for reporting bugs.

On page 3 of this thread, I described as best I could what I think this bug is, and how I and my groups have been able to work around it. Reading your post, I am not sure that this bug always manifests the same way (were you soloing or were you in a group with other players?), but this is the way it seemed to work for us:
How bout the manifestation of the autostore bug that has always plagued us but seems to have gotten worse with the ID Patch!!!!

Well what to say? I just started ID before the patch and I love it. Today I was able to lvl up to Body 1...so far so good. But when I saw, that no new options for customization where added to my ID-Screen i was friggin annoyed. Wanna know why? Because it took me about two hours of id to get there (finding customers or willing vicitims, starring on id screen, nothing else - can be very unsatisfying...). And thats just row one (I am starting to feel sick, when I am thinking of getting to master).
Dont get me wrong, I dont like holo-grinding, thats why I dont do it (and the day every second person I meet is a Jedi, i will quit the game). But come on, you made the ID-Profession unplayable. I am a casual gamer, with a real life and real problems, I aint have the time to play 120 hours straight through (maybe 200 hours of regular business)....so do many other players. I bet many ppl, that thought about ID, will dont even start the profession. I suggest:
- Let the timer as it is, thats no prob for me (btw: Why do you lower the timer for masters? I dont get it. I mean a Master ID has so many options to customize, it takes way more time for the customer to deceide than any timer of the world could ever count down....so if you lower a timer, do it generally not for masters only - and novice IDs, which really need their customers, wont loose em).
- Stack the XP: If I change eG eyecolor, haircut and bodyweight, stack the xp you get for every change. Its not necessary to stack every single customization, but it should stack the xp from all "major areas" (like body, face, hair/frills, face), its just not right, thatI changenearly everything on a player and I just get the xp from the hardest customization after he was for like 15 mins inhis "deceidingprocess"-----> more work = more xp (sounds logical, doesnt it?)
