Please, please, please, please stack the XP for Image Design. You can spend a lot of time with one customer making many changes and alterations.... chatting about things and interacting in the way the devs are trying to encourage... and yet still only make a basic amount of xp.

As I progress up the tree and can do more complicated changes I should earn more XP for the advance changes I can do now even if this means that the XP levels for each stat boxes are adjusted slightly.

And dump half of the subtle holoemotes that noone ever requests. Replace them with profession linked ones like the holonotes that people can use to attract business.

I can see why they decided not to use stacking XP. The higher you climb in the trees, the more changes you can do. That would mean that the higher you go, the easier it is to progress. (Since the timer is the same for everyone).

It could work if the XP levels for the stat boxes were adjusted though, as you said.

I've no problem with the timer stacking as well, though... because if you are doing a proper session with a real client (rather than just grinding) it usually takes longer than the standard amount of time anyway.

My biggest issue is that as a wookiee I can't ID myself at any low lvl skills, I can't get any body to let me ID them since I can't make any of the changes that they really want, and with the timer I don't wanna subject any of my friends to the pain of sitting through my ID sessions till I get up the skills to ID myself. Basically, you've managed to kill my advancement in entertainer and ID. Thank you. You gotta love a game that provides an opportunity for fun and then holds it just out of reach.

I think the concensus here is to get rid of the timer. I can see the desire to make the profession more challenging/rewarding to level. But more challenging should mean more fun....not more boring. Watching a timer count down is not even really playing the game. You're just sitting there doing nothing.. waiting...

Well Lamaerina in our group is going fencer. When we get to a certain point it's gonna be drop ID or a lot of things, including medic. Personally I don't care anymore. Master ID was fun but the DEVs have yet again thrown their great vision on screwing anything I explore in this game. The SIMPLEST student could pull out a calulator and see that to get Master ID you basically never get to play the freaking game anymore other than to talk to people. Well, I guess you guys promote that too since the five times I've been on the csr chat board to get any help they were too busy talking about peoples' relations and sex lives.

So i publicly apologize. Apparently they're following me around. All fencers, I apologize in advance.

Seriously, get rid of the freaking timer.

I have an issue with this Publish. I think that taking away a players ability to migrate their own stats is wrong, and I'll explain why. I needed 400 total stat points migrated, so I head to the ID tent in Coronet since, courtesy of this publish, I can not migrate my own. The lowest price I could find on stat migration was 50,000 credits.

Let me say that again for effect... FIFTY THOUSAND CREDITS TO MIGRATE 400 STAT POINTS.

This is a license to steal for ID, and they are taking full advantage. Why can't you let players still have the ability to migrate their own stats? Treat it like a tradition exercise/watch-what-you-eat diet and the Atkins/South Beach way. You need it done right now? Go to an ID and get your head ripped off and your pocket lightened. You don't mind a slow migration that may take a week to two weeks? Go that route, and save your money. Patience is a virtue, and should be rewarded to players that don't mind the wait. I think I'll get together with all my Doctor friends and make sure if an ID wants a buff we charge 25,000 credits minimum. That's basically what they are doing to all the players in the game.

At least you could find an ID to do this, I have been at thetent in Theeds the last 2 nights with a bunch of other people just waiting for somebody to come by and help us.

Whatever happens with timers etc. the experience gained for performing a stat migration needs to be changed.

At the moment you only get 600XP which is exactly the same as the amount of XP you would get if you stood there for the same amount of time and performed ID changes on yourself. This doesn't exactly encourage you to do stat migrations particularly as you may miss other ID changing opportunities on other players while you are tied up with the stat migration.

Perhaps the experience should be doubled? Or players should also get experience for other changes performed during the stat migration process on top of the 600XP.

i was thinking it would be a really cool idea if you gave image desighners the ability to customize droids and vehicles permanetly that would be very cool and stop alot of complaining

you have chosen the way of pain!!!!

REMOVE THE &$@(ING TIMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so tired of management and the dev team just arbitrarily going through making knee-jerk balance changes I could puke. It's almost like I am playing Diablo 2 again, BUT you are charging me $15 a month to put up with this crap too! You guys have your heads screwed on backwards. Did you really sit down and do the math on how long it takes to master ID now? Obviously not. I have jsut wasted the last 3 weeks of my game working my way up the Entertainer/ID ladder to get to master, and you pull the rug out from under my feet. I am giving it up now and honestly I am trying to convince myself why you should continue to get another dime from me...

Who the crap is running the show there? I suggest you put somebody else in charge for a while who doesn't have such a twitchy finger over the "change" button. My subscription is up for renewal soon and I sure hope I am not pissed off at another carelessly planned balance tweak (read timesink/moneysink) at the time because I really don't think it will take much to push me over the point of no return any more. Too many professions nerfed out from under me I suppose. Aren't I supposed to enjoy this game? If I want grief, I can go to work and get paid.

ugh.

What the heck am I doing here?

Current Issues:

1. Put back the numbers that were attached to every mouseclick in all the sliders. This was a feature we fought hard to get many months ago that was extremely helpful to us. This was by far one of the best things that ever happened during a patch to the ID profession, & was overlooked during the redesign of the new UI to more resemble the character creation UI which did not include these numbered sliders. Also allow both the ID & the customer to be able to view these numbers in the new UI.

2. Give back stat migration in it's old form to the player base & leave us the ability to do it faster as a luxury convenience which players will still be happy to pay for.

3. Change all the timers so they start counting down AFTER the changes have been made instead of before the customer is able to commit to the change. These timers & how they are implimented are in direct conflict with other game mechanics that purposefully disconnect players who are inactive for a period of time. The current situation forces customers & ID's to do nothing while the timer counts down, & then we get disconnected for it & have to start all over again.

Future Issues:

1. Give ID's the ability to place an ID terminalinside aplayer owned structure, instead of creating a player version of the ID Tents. This will save the dev team a lot of work as the terminals & current player structures are already in existance & do not need to be created from scratch. A droid module would serve the same purpose & should also be easy to impliment in comparison to a new tent.

2. Give ID's the ability to ID merchant vendors. Make it so the vendor ownersuse the customer UI just as if they were the customer themselves.

3. Create a universal color palette that will be similar in appearance & function between all professions that make color choices. All colors should have a number attached that would be a perfect match to the same numbered color used by a different profession in their own palettes. Instances were certain colors aren't allowed as an option could be represented by an X'd out box where that box would normally be filled in, but the overall size & positioning of each color box in the palette would remain identical from palette to palette between professions & item schematics. The issue of making the color boxes being too small should be resolved by having the color screens scroll up & downinstead of making them smaller & trying to fit them all in one screen.

Well I am not an image designer but I have complaints about this change. Forcing players to use ID's for stat migration is not right. This change might be nice for the ID's but for everyone else this is a problem. I play on Scylla and recently went to migrate stats since I was changing my profession focus and needed a deeper physical pool, and was told that I would have to pay 10 K to get my stats migrated. This doesn't seem reasonable. I was told by the ID that it takes 10 minutes of their time to do this and since in 10 minutes they could do missions and make that much it was more than fair. I have always believed in tipping in game for services rendered but 10K for stat migration which used to be a player option (although a slow one) is unreasonable. Now I agree that it is possiblem to make a lot of money doing missions and sometimes they can be done quickly but 1000 credits per real minute is outrageous. DEV's you need to reconsider this. Once again it feels like someones vision is being shoved down the fans throat.
