TH if you'll go to the tech support board, there are many players (myself included) crashing to desktop at the loading screen since the patch hit yesterday.


and a quick question..... since trapping is no longer a pre-req for the bounty hunters, does that mean we wont be seeing our humanoid traps?

Yeap - they affirmed that BH was in dire need of beef. Now if you compare Novice Commando and Novice BH the novice commando has a distinct edge (he is on the virge of TKA.. Althoughsupperiour scatter pistols might be a tad easier to come by then uber launcher pistols.)


But, your point taken - then consider - is Master Ranger a joke? And well, sadly, it has been for a long time.

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

I got on today to make some weapons. I havent made any in a few weeks. And i was using the same exact materials and sub components, wearing the same bonus clothing, crafting food/drink.. ect that i had used when making the others but i could not get them close to the stats on the old ones. I didnt know where to post this at to bring it to someones attention.


I was making 85-452 damage 5.9 speed laser Rifles a few weeks ago and today with the exact same stuff i am making 84-442 damage 6.1 speed. I only make the weapon if i get great successes or above so that didnt change either. My DXR-6b's also came out lower.

the ability for jedi to hunt overt players for xp, thus making overts a Giant flesh eating chuba, breaks the GCW.. This needs changed... A "hot fix" for this cannot come fast enough.



1) Nerfed by the CU - Annoyed

2) SWG destroyed by the NGE - Pisssed

3) Cancellation to nerf the dev's pay check, priceless!!

I don't know if anyone else has had a problem with this, but I feel like I need to report it:


I am a mediocre-rifleman on Bria, and when I get difficuly missions, I have to fight strategically. I usually fight from the border of just in range-to just out of range. I have done this for a year; it is a good strategy.


There is an issue with this now. When you are firing and shooting while in range, and you step out of range, your player will no longer run; they will only walk. This could be a hard bug to fix, but let's hope not for the sake of us long-range users.

Restored missing pearls to Jedi who dismantled their sabers without enough inventory space for the new items. If you clear up enough inventory space, log out for 30 minutes, and then log back in, you will be given the missing items.


Hello, I am one of the unlucky Jedi who lost pearls due to saber dismantle. I didn't pay attention to my inventory and got 2 pearls from a 5th generation saber. I followed the instructions given in hotfix release notes (log out for 30 mins and reload game) but nothing happened. What can I do to have my 2 missing pearls back ?


CSR told me they couldn't assist me with thisas it was a dev script they had no way to deal with. Can someone help me out please ?

CTD bug has reared its head with this patch. I and many others (acording to the tech suport board) have sudenly been afflicted by a bug involveing Nvidia cards with 256 megs of ram on systems with 768 megs or more of ram. Personaly I'm runing a GF FX 5700 256m with a gig of ram. all the way up till monday night my system ran just fine and I wasnt even aware that this bug existed for some people. Tuesday morning I log in get the patch start loading into the game and crash to desktop repeatedly. As per tips given by other players limiting my system to 512 megs of ram alows me to get into the game but that shouldnt be nessicary. While the game is playable with this work around I do notice a performance hit compaired to befor the patch when this limit was unnessicary.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Yeah i learnt a schem in the middle of experimenting on another item......lost the crafted item completely.....poof there goes one acklay bone.....


also any word on fixing the berserker rifle so that i can actually craft the mounting junk im getting off the vette....or fixing some the of the aa's like heavy weapon spd etc....or fixing so that the acklay loots don't have flipped stats......or if the fix for the berserker rifle isn't coming soon could you please take it out of the game till it is fix....ty

Dear Thunderheart,


This publish brings an interesting new possibility to the game. Beinga Master TKA, I have become very fascinated by the history of the Teras Kasi with respect to the Star Wars universe. At this point, I'm sure that most know that Tera Kasi artists were known to hunt Jedi. With this publish, it would be interesting to develop a characteras Master TKA with the investigation branch of the BH tree, thereby allowing one to role-play a true Teras Kasi artist.

Until a fix is done, I have heard that setting, in your boot.ini file,/maxmem=512, will help with most CTD cases.

The CTD problem has happened to me repeatedly today, the MS site indeed reports that the crash was due to Nvidia drivers...


FYI this happens on cards with only 128MB of RAM too (I have GeForce4 Ti 4400).


I've never had a crash to desktop since beta.

You know, I remember seeing posts like that and cringing because it's not hard to craft items at their theoretical limit, even for players who can't test things out with uber-resources (which presumably the devs would be able to). All it requires is the ability to match the stats on the resource to the stats listed on the schematic, and maximize appropriately. "Exceptionally smart"? Maybe if you're talking about three year olds, but any grade schooler of average intelligence should be able to handle the math involved in high-level SWG crafting.


Anyway, the fact that the devs don't seem to be able to handle said math in order to figure out what stats player-crafted items will have, as evidenced by their complete surprise at the stats we end up getting,gives me serious doubts about the people behind the wheel. That or they just don't bother to test anything. Either way, I cringe.
