There is a 30 second delay after you call for a vehicle/mount/pet/droid before it will generate.
I just spend 10 minutes drafting a polite, well-thought-out post about why this is a bad idea...
Unfortunately TH, since you once again posted using HTML (even though every single one of us has asked you not to) and the board ate my whole post. (Hint: Draft your posts in the editor like the rest of us do...stop cutting and pasting, because it screws everything up).
So you get the shortened (and irritated) version:
This is a dumb idea for vehicles. (1) Vehicles can't be used to attack or tank...they provide no combat advantage. (2) They can't be used to get away...if you are going to lose a battle, you will be dead by the time you open your datapad, and call your vehicle, and mount it, and move out of attack range. Additionally, all players can call vehicles (so in pvp the other players can chase you on their vehicles) and you can shoot vehicles out from underneath others. (3) Against NPCs, NPCS rarely attack vehicles if you park them right, so players never store their vehicles anyway...the timer will change nothing.
There is NO combat justification for the delay on calling vehicles. There is no justification period...
Please change this...
If it doesn't matter, why change it...it doesn't matter right? You'll have the vehicle out anyways.
Does the lighting include desk lamps? And are the new ones going to be similiar in size to the free standing lamp or the streetlamps? Or, dare I ask, chandeliers?
Oh and for the /move up can we sink things into the ceiling/floor to an extent to hide parts or is it basically set at the floor is the lowest and ceiling highest?
Have they told us what kind of new combat drods there are? or are there none? a battle droid or droidekia would be a cool pet...
/fantasize

Because vehicles are severly bugged and auto-store genius... My point is that it won't have any beneficial effects, but you will now have to wait 30 seconds EVERY time you want to call your vehicle.
You don't think that is a little dumb?

1) One thing seriously missing from droids is a monitor showing their remaining power. The only way to tell if a droid's running low is to be looking at it when it starts to complain about running low. Please provide something in the droid's /exam window showing its power status.
2) Adding a 30 second timer to call a vehicle, pet or droid is a terrible idea. First, vehicles, pets and droids randomly disappear for no apparent reason. We have to wait 30 seconds to get them back? Second, a vehicle is about the only way to escape certain death if you're a terrible or non combatant. Forcing a 30 second delay is a great way to get people killed, when all they want to do is get away from a dangerous situation. Third, I don't see Pistoleers, Bounty Hunters or Pikemen forced to wait 30 seconds to equip their weapons, why are CH going to be forced to wait 30 seconds to call theirs?
3) I can edit HTML -- a lot of these folks can't. Please limit your HTML to such things as bold, color and italics as the more advanced features are hobbling the abiity of some people to respond to your posts.
