yes war cry 2 increases it to 20 seconds and its the single most important move in any melee fighters armoury.

Its the Heavy Acid Rifle. No one uses it cause the certs dont stack. You can make the gun 100000 pts of damage, but it doesn't matter since the certs dont stack. I am almost up to commando TC, so I am going to watch this very carefully.



Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

Can we get just a broad idea of when this might be? Esp. considering this concerns almost everyone in the game.... Publish 8? Publish 9? further out than that?

I just spend 10 minutes drafting a polite, well-thought-out post about why this is a bad idea...


Unfortunately TH, since you once again posted using HTML (even though every single one of us has asked you not to) and the board ate my whole post. (Hint: Draft your posts in the editor like the rest of us do...stop cutting and pasting, because it screws everything up).


So you get the shortened (and irritated) version:


This is a dumb idea for vehicles. (1) Vehicles can't be used to attack or tank...they provide no combat advantage. (2) They can't be used to get away...if you are going to lose a battle, you will be dead by the time you open your datapad, and call your vehicle, and mount it, and move out of attack range. Additionally, all players can call vehicles (so in pvp the other players can chase you on their vehicles) and you can shoot vehicles out from underneath others. (3) Against NPCs, NPCS rarely attack vehicles if you park them right, so players never store their vehicles anyway...the timer will change nothing.


There is NO combat justification for the delay on calling vehicles. There is no justification period...


Please change this...

...and when every Jedi who plays more than 20 minutes has to fend off two dozen unconsented PvP attacks, I will be very interested to see what happens. I don't particularly care for this whole system, but I know there are plenty of bounty hunters out there that are frothing at the mouth because they get a chance to hunt players. Whatever. Unconsented PvP doesn't work. Look at the difference in the subscription rates of UO and EQ at their all time highs. Look at the retention rates.


I'm sure there will be many here who will argue and flame this post, and they can have at it. There is a growing frustration in the Jedi community regarding this whole issue and I will be willing to bet you get your wish of making jedi super rare...subscribing jedi at any rate.

Just to be clear TH are you making warcry an area effect mesmerise type skill ? So as soon as you start attacking a mob it breaks out of the warcried state and starts attacking again? If so I believe you are in for a bit of a backlashon the melee proffesion forums, in particular swords who are still feeling a little weak after the bleed changes of publish 6. Your thoughts and comments?

At novice commando, you get certified for the HAR, launcher pistol, and flamethrower. The flamethrower and HAR each have seperate trees dedicated to them (even though they are presently indistinguishible except the HAR lacks a DOT and does less damage). The launcher pistol gets no pistol mods or specials in commando. Anyway, getting back on topic, as you go up the HAR line, you get mods to increase speed and accuarcy, like any combat profession. However, these dont get added the the mods you get at novice, resulting in NO increase in either speed or accuracy. Consequently, a master commandois no more accuarte or faster than a novice commando with the HAR.
