my suggestion on the PVE base would have to be something to the effect of if you are within 32 meters of an enemy shutdown terminal for more than 5 minutes, you are turned PVP (special forces). This will allow players that are PVE to contribute to defeating NPCs of the opposite faction, but not participate in the base destruction sequence.

There has to be some type of player way to defend the base besides the NPCs. Having 5 players that are all combatants (PVE) go into a base, whipe the place clean, then destroy the base while the you just sit there with nothing to do (since they are unattackable by PVP-special forces), is not so good.

We are not forcing people into PvP anymore. It is a playstyle choice that people should make, not have it forced on them.

PvE bases are there for PvE players, and are defended by NPCs, not players.

Then make it so that PvE bases dont acount towards the 3 base limit or give it a seperate PvE base limit. No one is going to sacrifice one of their 3 base lots to go to a base that they have no way to defend.

I think the origional post stated that bases no longer take uplots.

I am confused abit about teh PvE bases, if a combatant can not attack a PvP enabled player, how do they defend the base?
Otherwise, this sounds awesome.

This actually answers the concerns of the anti-faction-grinders from the other thread (part 1)...If the NPCs are PvP-NPCs....then grinders (ie, non PvP-PCs [say that 10 times fast]) CANNOT attack the PvP Bases AT ALL...

It seems a little overcomplicated, but....we'll see

Darn Tyrant, I was just about to point that out to the folks who were mentioning about not being able to do anything against a PvE player... I see the Devs are on top of it...Good Job

If they maybe take some imps or rebs from the corvettes to defend the bases, maybe it'll be worth placing these PvE bases, otherwise it'll be a yawn to take them down, and I wouldn't expect to see many of them put up.

Any chance that I can still find flat land to harvest resources from with all these bases around?

Sounds good, I just hope these cheap and easy to place PvE bases don't fill up the land scape.

How does this statement resolve with the forced PvP of jedi BH missions (even against non-Knight PvE jedi) and the forced Permaovert status for Knights. If the answer is "Jedi are forced to PvP still", then essentially, you ARE STILL forcing people to PvP...

My Question is:

States that you will be reimbursed by faction points for the bases you currently own. WHat if you are capped on FP, or close to cap on FP?

Hmmmmm ? Say that again ?

Kinda contrdicts what TH said in the first post : "All factioned players (both PvP enabled and PvP disabled) may participate in PvE base defense."

These PvE bases aren't clear to me, to be honest.
