further more,
someone who knows they can outdamage the group (with the current system) isn't going to want to join the group killing the mob to enter a lottery situation.. whats the point when they know they will get loot anyway!
(and as mentioned before cumulative group damage does NOT give rights.. as I mentioned its the highest damage from an INDIVIDUAL regardless of whether that person is in a group or not).

I agree, this kill stealing needs to go away! The only way I see that happening is in either one of these ways:
1. Group based damage is accumalated, meaning a group of 20 will allways get the loot rights versus one man soloing.
2. The one who gets the first hit in, and does actual damage with acertified weapon!will have the loot rights (or if member of a group the group will have the rights to the loot) Now if the person who gets the first hit in dies, see rule number 1.
Nothing is more irritateing than standing versus a highend mob beating on it and then someone or a group comes by and kill steals. These two rules would definately get away with so much grief there is today in SWG that KS would go away. Since the KS or group of KS would not benefit from killing the mob since you had the first damage dealing shot in, so they now have the choice of either helping you put the mob down or leave it alone, or hope you die and that they can outdamage the group (if you were in a group) you were in at the time.
Put this in, and youll have many more happy players!

Nice change, but the most important issue is not addressed - AFK Macro looters will still exist and if they are strong enough, they will be able to control interesting spawn places like Lord Nyax all alone 24/7.

Would like to hear an answer regarding the loot rights/highest damage, is it individual, or a group effort now? it should SO be based on Group Damage.. to many times have we be screwed by 1 high power weapon/speed capped swords man.

How about a timer on solo players determining how often they can loot the same NPC? This should stop uber damage AFK looters from dominating looting rights on high end npc's with good loot drops.

Yeah, the idea is great. I like instead of people fighting over it. We always let the person who is leading have the loot.

I'm not sure about the third option, lottery, but that might be because I do not fully understand it, so I will reserve comment on that option. The others are brilliant. You guys are starting to scare me....lately you have enacted so many player-benefit features, fixes and additions I feel like I did when I first bought this game. Honeymoon all over again. Keep up the great work.

Well i like option 1 and 2, but the Lottery system is flawed IMHO, this is exactly how EQ2 has their system, and its open to problems, the main being that not everyone puts the NBG into effect "Need before greed" and thus you end up with someone needing a item but someone else wins the lottery.
Please don't turn SWG into a EQ2 clone, would make it horrible to play
