I also think that there should be pets even more rare than even Bull Rancors...much rarer. For example, I saw a Monstrous Brute spawn from an enraged rancor lair the other day. That happened with maybe 1 in 100 rancors that spawn. Now if you take the 1 in 100 chance and then apply the same chance that a Bull Rancor has to spawn, you would get an incredibly rare Monstrous Brute baby. These should have extreme stats and would be well worth the tame.

Hello TH, heres some info from Tivo (it rhymes, heh)

***1. Creature babies are still MIA: as you know from the mail I sent you and the thread/petition I made, there are still a large amount of creatures that are not spawning babies. From ALL the information I have collected since December 16th (patchday) ingame to everything on the CH forum, the following creatures are not spawning babies: frenzied graul, ancient graul, thune herd leader, seething bol crusher, fierce piket protector, slinking voritor hunter, horned voritor lizard, merek harvester, king merek harvester, queen merek harvester, blood-drenched merek king, arachne queen, mantigrue reaper, deranged mantigrue, bloodseeker mite queen, kliknik queen, shear mite queen, surefoot brackaset, rhoa kwi hunter, malkloc bull, bordoks, bols, gurks, snorbals, pharples, and the plains hunter. (and many more)

All of those I listed should be spawning babies and not a single one has been found since the December patch when they were all supposed to be fixed. I mean, if an arachne widow can spawn babies, why cant a surefoot brackaset or seething bol crusher? Obviously this is not about stats, but rather about finishing what was started. Maybe the spawn rate code was entered in wrong by mistake? Might wanna double-check that, because this issue is making people quit the profession and sometimes even the game.

2. Pets running away constantly during battle (and also following too closely: right on top of us)

3. Both

TH,

The pets are now scripted to stand 0 meters from your avatar, meaning they stand right on top of you at all times. If the pet is large this causes some pretty serious visibility issues for targeting, looting, etc. Previously, the pets would stand 3 - 5 meters from your avatar.

I believe that this is the contributing factor to the pets who are running from all creatures. During combat the attacker and attackee will try to jostle to get to their best distance from each other. With pets that would be 3m, but this has also now been errantly set to 0m. Not a good thing when the attackee tries to maintain 3m. Most of the "pet running" syndrome that seems to be happening is occurring on flat terrain and suggests a pathing issue (I could be wrong on this, but I'll test it tonight).

Please get this fixed, as these are extremely annoying bugs (I won't call any large creature at this point).

Actually, it seems like some of the problems are with all creatures, be they pets or mobs. I've been grinding through melee classes over the last few weeks almost exclusively on Dath. I am very used to what melee combat with mobs on Dath is like. Creatures have always tried to maintain a certain distance from their target while in melee. After the publish it seems like this distance is now scaling (more or improperly) for all creatures. So, the large creatures now want to stand 9-10m away from what they are figthing. This puts them just outside of melee range for smaller creatures (and players). So...

Large mob vs player (using auto follow) = player gets 'target is too far away' messages on 75-90% of their attacks while the mob tears them up

Large mob vs player (NO autofollow) = player continually trying to close the distance to the mob, the mob "running" away to try and regain its 9-10m buffer, player hitting more often but still getting 'target is too far away' message far too frequently, mob moving and as a result attacking less frequently (it seems)

Large pet vs mob = mob constantly trying to close with pet, pet trying to regain its 9-10m buffer and "running away" from the mob

Small pet vs Large mob = same as Large mob vs player

Same size vs same size = no problem

Hope this helps

Problems I have ran intoon Tarq:

-Autostore for no reason

-Pets stand on top of you instead of to the side like before

-The pets seem to get stuck on server borders and stop following you the way they use to before publish 6

Specials still don't work reliably if at all

Pets with ranged attacks can be taught a command for it but they won't actually use it like other specials

Some BE pet deeds are showing ranged attacks but not actually getting even the command (I bought a gurrek skinned BE pet with a ranged attacke but didn't get the tame option for it.

1. What are your issues?
my cu pa auto-stores when i am on my way to missions, in fights, anywhere...
my cu pa is running from Gubburs(sp?)(cu pa is CL 11 and has never had a problem with that before...)

2. What is the Pet description, specifically (type/level, etc)?
Cu Pa... CL 11... 1100 in all HAMs... does 90-130 dmg...

3. Was it a Bio engineered pet or a tamed pet?
Bio-engineered as far as i know...

Had a level 10 BE Kwi. After the patch it says it's stats are illegal. Stat adjust doesn't work, so I raised the level to 12. Great, now I can't use it. Thanks.

Hey TH, here is a suggestion. Talk to the CH Correspondent. I thought that was their purpose. We have been complaining about creature AI, both MOB and pets, since about 20 minutes after release. You really hosed the creature handlers and weaponsmith with this publish and anyone that bought FWG's in bulk. Talk about a stealth nerf... This was a stealth elimination of the CH. It is not playable now. My legs are tired from all the running around. My character is not a young man. lol

There are thread after thread of problems in the CH Forum. I thought that was where we were supposed to post. Since we can not create a post in Live. Do you think we just make this up to amuse ourselves? I have been a MCH since around 3 weeks after publish. Do you think I do not understand how to use my character? Well, good thing that BE's can provide pets to non-ch because the way you are going, there are not going to be any CH's left. Oh, wait, never mind I forgot about the "Droid Invasion."

On a side note, did you intend MOB's to be able to chase characters into public buildings? I had to kill a Voritor Tracking Lizard in the bedroom of my medium Naboo House. Followed me in the door chased me around in the main room and then followed me up the steps and through doors. My taylor said the bed clothes are ruined and will have to be replaced. Yes, I role play. Tried it again with the house set to private and they do not enter. Unless you changed something after Wednesday, I would be happy to reproduce it for you.

A bit late, but I'll post some feedback too:

1.) Pets follow extremely close (this has been noted already). Makes it very hard to see or do anything. You almos have to play in first person view or zoom all the way out in order to see anything. It is especially terrible with something like a greater sludge panther.

2.) Pets occasionally auto-store while in combat. I haven't noticed the sevierty of it yet, but it does happen. So far it has only happened to me two or three times. I was doing a Rebel mission, and all a sudden my pet disappears. Once I finished the mission I tried to mount to my vehicle and it said I couldn't mount to anything. Tried to store it, couldn't. Had to go back to the city to call the vehicle again, which I could mount to.

3.) Pets randomly stopping for no apparent reason. Sometimes it's an issue, other times it's not. It's worse in some instances than it is others. This and the auto-storeare probably the two most important issues for me. This is very bad in certain caves, especially in the Geonosian Biolab.

Most of the time I noticed it with a greater sludge panther (CL 25), and gurreck (CL 50), and toxic merek battlelord (CL 45). All of them were tamed from the wild.

I hope this helps.
