Moley, spending your time knocking on people who want to get the most out of a game they are paying for I see. Not one of these complaints are about getting freebies. Each and everyone of these people are willing to work for access to a character typethat they have every right to get. Like myself, most of the complaints are by people who have been playing the game since launch. They recognize that there are worst things in life than getting jerked around in a video game. However, they have been paying for a service with their money that they work for. See, they work for their money. They shouldn't have to pay someone money and get promised something in return just to be taken advange of and have more money taken from them. They were promised that if they have patience that they would no longer have to grind for hours on end to gain access to a character that they pay for just like those who were fortunate to get that character before everything changed. The pre pub 10 unlockers had to grind out alot of profession types to gain access to a character that they pay for. Those who grinded day in and day out for a year, but didn't unlock now have to continue to grind for another year on top of the year they have spent grinding. OK so the system didn't go quest it went grind again, and some will be able to do that and it's no big deal. But then they see what it takes to grind to become a Jedi. It takes far greater an amount of grinding than it did before. So greater that they have to grind an additional 16-32 character totals.
So basically they are starting from scratch. They just spent a year grinding prof after prof and were told that they didn't need to do that anymore because grinding was going to stop. Well from what I just checked I see that now all of the grinding they did is now thrown out the window and they need to do it all over again plus additional grinding. We don't mind working for our Jedi, but now we have to work twice as hard if not three times as hard as those who unlocked pre pub 10. So say you ran a marathon, but when you crossed the finish line the judges say they made a mistake. They say you don't have to run a marathon any more. You feel better knowing you don't have to run a marathon again. See the judges said you didn't have to run a marathon anymore, but instead after completing the marathon you now have to run 36 more miles to finish. A marathon is around 26.2 miles. So now they have to run 62.2 miles total. So those people who grinded a year now have to grind another year and a half and have to pay someone to allow them to do it. Again they don't mind having to work at it, but this is borderline obscene. So our other option is to stop paying them and close our accounts or not get a character type that we pay for and just go back and fight in a GCW, oh wait the devs took that away too. Moley, bring on your complaints about me whining, I'd love it. Please knock me down, please I beg you to.

Why is it that i do the heightened senses quest, to find that there is nothing in it that helps a doctor. The modifiers that are offered in the healing group of boxes effect injury treatment but not wound treatment. Im a doctor and iam already able to build stimpack e with far more effectiveness then i really need. What we really would like is possibly some more bonus to wound treatment and/or wound treatment speed. The first quest item is a really nice item that is combat medic only. The second item has yet to mature enough to see the result.

New galaxies description:
Welcome to starwars Galaxies grinders Paradise
this game will teach you how to grind, grind and grind somemore
Newb - Grind some proffesions to get a template so you can actually do something because there is nothing else to do..
Fs -Want a jedi, well there is a wonderful grind for you to do only 17mil xp a tree and u only need 6 trees, so thats only 102mil xp to get to initiate
( 1-2 years will get you this far from scratch, so get grinding)
initiate - Now we will show you how to grind again, this time its harder.. we hope you enjoy the game so far, Grinding is wot we do best
padawan - to actually do anything with the force you will need to grind even more than ever, with the wonderful level in jedi you will need a ***Edit*** load more xp to get anywhere
knight -Need i go on ?
Alternative - you can not do it and fall behind the rest of the server so when it comes to things like pvp they will always have the advantages, so i think cancelling your accounti s the best thing to do.
Here at SOE we love to **edit** up a perfectly good game to get as many of you to leave as we can..
Don't forget GET GRINDING a jedi could be yours at only 1-2 years of your life, and by that time the game wont be played anymore and we will have a new version out..
thank you all
May patience be with you..

Hello fellow Dev flamers and anti-flamers. So far with all the posts I have read in the past 14 months of the existence of SWG, lots of people have brought up good points. The game is still incomplete. Jedi take huge amounts of grinding to acquire. No major additions to content since the game opened. Pissing off every owner of this game countless times. We have all been thru it. I started playing this game on July 30th, 2003 with the intent of enjoying a smuggler/pilot combo with my second unlocked jedi to play with when I was bored. The smuggler and pilot part are only now forthcoming, yet I stuck with it. I completed my 5 Jedi professions post-Publish 9, so I expected a 5 branch FS character. That was reduced to 3 branches and 90 million more xp to just unlock Initiate. This is the first time since the beginning of the game that thoughts of quiting are on my mind. I know the devs must work hard sometime, since they are being paid to work on this game. I know code takes some effort to write, and testing is worse. But all of us veterans from the start have to look at the state of the game and ask ourselves, What has been accomplished? Did I enjoy the journey? Was it worth spending $140 the first year and repeating that bill the second year?
This is what we all truly must ask ourselves. For most of us, JTL will be the final straw that makes or breaks our desicion to continue with this game. Can the devs accomplish what they stated they would almost 14 months ago? Can they keep this pissed yet experienced community together? Or will we all go to CoH, which is more fun right now, or have a mass migration when WoW comes out? Can they keep us paying for a game that for 14 month veterans, there is nothing left to do but grind? I have dropped all pretenses of becoming a Jedi, as the devs had made it clear it is for the elite grinding community of MMORPG gamers. But, the smuggler/pilot combo is only 2 months away. Can they make it real? Will it astound us so much as to revitalize this bored and pissed community? We shall see. If it does not live up to the expectations established 14 months ago, even I must consider this game defunct and unplayable. I would find this quite grieving considering the 3000+ hours I have spent on this game. If anything, it will have been quite the learning experience from my first MMORPG. I have had a hard time taliking to customers in the place I work about this game. As a seller of games and likewise equipment to thousands of GI's, I have to honestly tell them not to play this game unless they want to feel (jokingly) thatthey are in the Star Wars universe. If they want a Jedi, KOTOR and Jedi Academy are my referals. Maybe someday if SWG II is made I can say, "Look, they learned from their mistakes." Until that day, I will wait for JTL to see if SWG can be saved.
If any of you flamers and anti-flamers want to do so personally to me,I am Kenneth Joust of the server Ahazi, at least for another 2 months. E-mail me or talk to me if you feel the need.

This is a feedback thread people
****Feedback****
Anyhow, I've completed the FS quest(Old man visits, Sith attacks, free branch unlocks, training, and Padawan trials) and I've only had one hitch. When the Old Man showed up the final time and gave me the wp to Mellichae's camp, one of the power crystals you need to destroy spawned in a house and couldn't be destroyed. I put in an "I'm stuck/Geometry" ticket and a CSR answered it like 1.5 hours later.. He warped me off Rori to my mission wp on Naboo and moved the crystal out of the house. From my point of view, the Devs have done a great job so far w/ Publish 10.

I have a question posed to me by my guildmates:
Can you unlock jedi, become a jedi, then "unlearn" it to pick up regular skills again. Anyone know? I've had two questions on this, so they can't be the only ones with the question. Can anyone help me answer this for them?

I have a gripe about the way the Aurilian Plant is handled:
I'll start off saying I love the concept and I would like to see more similar content, although the fact that the plant can die seems very harsh. I think a lot of people would much rather see it reach a near-death stage that is very difficult to revive it from, perhaps make it so you need some rare item (even the fruit of another plant) to revive, but make it so the plant cannot actually die and dissapear.
Another reason to make it not dissapear is for the decorative value. I'm enjoying (trying) to care for my plant, but I imagine that I'll eventually get bored with it and will not tend it as much. At that time, it would still be nice to keep my grown plant as a decoration in my house, even if it doesn't grow or bear fruit anymore. This is impossible with the current system.

Allow me to make a little comparison here...
Beta SWG - Players - "This game will be great once they fix all the bugs!"
SWG - "This game still has bugs!"
SWG (After Hologrinding was Discovered) - "Wow, I can't believe I'm still beating this dead horse!"
SWG (After more Hologrinding) - "This pump doesn't have any water in it, why am I still pumping it?"
SWG Publish 10 - "This rock that I'm hitting just isn't bleeding! Better keep trying!"
END THE GRIND

30 hours? Pfft... yeah , we all have something called LIFE if you havent heard about it, and 30 hours or Non Stop is not right, The TIme to get buffed again, Bike renewal, Foods, Money you need to gather to buy stuff, Visit starports and shuttles and People camping all the good spots!! (Geo Caves is Jedi grounds Good luck)
Also if you wanna do missions25 min for 2 missions and trip backto get more I'd say 90 Days not 30 hours!!

Hi,
yesterday I got visited by sith, but the disc I looted didnt work......I made a ticket then. Today I was visited by a second group of sith, this time everything was fine. I went to the WP and pooof..... there it goes.
Ok, tried 4-5 times, shuttled, relogged, whatever I could find what worked for others... nothing. The Waypoint is right next to a player-factory and always vanishes as soon as the camp wants to spawn.
I updated the ticket and today I got the response that they cant do nothing to help me, I shall file a /bug report.
Well, there I am. The CSR did not even read the ticket completely, cause I updated it every time and have some other issues. I am told they cant help me, but a bugreport will not help me too within the next few days, so I am stucked?
I am quite pissed by customer support these days, cause every ticket I made is closed, sometimes even when they ask me something and I have to reply, its closed..... And this time its not even read completely.
Any suggestions what to do now? I heard others have those Problems too, and CSRs move the WP then, but why the hell is the Customer Support on Gorath that crappy?
I would be happy if somebody with a red name could post something here what to do when encountering such problems, and it would be great if CSR would now what to do too.
Read ya.

Her is my dilema, I transfered from one server to another and lost my free branches. I completed 30 Professions. I was 4th Holo Silent PRE-BADGE. Then SOE said it was OK to transfer to another server without any problems.
To read more on this issue please view this thread.

I have worked my heart out to become Jedi for over a year and with the flip of a coin, I lost everything on the words of SOE employees. Please help recitfy this issue.
