Now there's an idea worth doing. Very good point Karthrag-Inak. Would sure help a lot of people out that did like me and made a few mistakes based on not knowing a thing.

You're not the only one who never received a crystal...and yes it annoys me too.
I think I killed upwards of about 1000-2000 meatlumps, a few nightsister elders, and a few hundred other nightsisters and nada...nothing, not one drop of a crystal.
As far as feedback on this system,
I'm annoyed, to be perfectly honest. This is literally insane, the fact that we have conversion rates that literally make people relearning a profession over, and over, and simply over again. I know there are some players who are extremely good grinders, and can easily rake out the exp to get there (one person already is done with a tree, and working on the next), but some of us actually have what's called...a LIFE. I, for one, can't depend on grinding that much to finally get to jedi.
A possible solution, maybe the devs can think about, is something to reward the vet players of this game. I mean holy cripes, I've been playing since day 1. No, I may not have every single profession done, done the holo grind, or seen every POI - but I had fun, hunting, PvPing, and doing things with friends. Should I be punished because I hate to grind? Maybe, if you devs don't mind, maybe think of a sort of 'vet reward' system, such that the conversion rates go somewhat near normal range for people who've been here for so long. I mean seriously, if you wanna keep dedicated players, give some help to them - the dedicated players will probably continue to be here for a long long time, the newer people, here just for jedi, will come and go. 30:1 ratio for jedi is plain silly, it really is pretty rough to handle. Instead, maybe for vet players make it 10:1, or even lower. I mean come on, everyone in this game should be able to experience every class, not just rewarding the grinders day in and day out.
This same complaint goes to the corvette, and other dungeons. I like to hunt with smaller groups, of between 4-5 players. Heck, not all of us are masters, not all of us are dressed in composite, not all of us are powergamers, but we are a tight group of friends who enjoy playing. What are we rewarded with? dying on the top level of the corvette.
Please stop favoring only the power gamer, there are others here too!

There is a great disturbance in the force. A new path to become a Jedi has evolved and the sound of a 10000 accounts being cancelled over this latest insult to SOE's customers can be heard though out the galaxy.
This brings to light a point:
The devs have to walk a line....
How do you get people to give up being Jedi without giving up the game itself?
funny thing is...this game was FUN before jedi came to be. The reason we hadn't done everything there was to do and people still had places to go see..(no bikes) people were all in the same relative areas (no player cities)...and there was still new content to do and experience.
Travel made this world tosmall to fast....yet the addition of player cities made it to large to fast by spreading out the population to much. And their idea of content (make your own) MIGHT have worked if the GCW was viable. With various professions STILL not working as intended...and the concept of "Solo Groups" (how absurd) because everything is so easily soloable.....they had to ad special dungeons of "content" that are almost impossible to do unless you fall into the Power Gamer group.
JTL is the make or break feature. If its relativly fun ...with content that will last say 7 months and WORKS as intended...they MIGHT have a chance to salvage the ground portion of the game. My year subscription ends next july...I may not be playing untill then. Dropped two alts the first of the year, and my main crafter goes poof come december.
EQ2, WoW, and a few other titles are comming out. I shall not err as i did here, to be sure. I shall sit and suck up my prepaid time for now..and see what the communities playing those games end up saying abpout their title befor buying it. The Industry has been watching SWG and has learned a great deal, I am sure. So I fully expect my next experience to be a much more fulfilling one than what I have experienced here.
This title can be saved...i have no doubts. I just doubt i have the patience to keep paying for things I find I am not enjoying. I have already spent two years playing this title trying to help and improve it...and still paying for a Beta class title.
The conversion rate is a tad over the top IMHO. But your trying to limit the influx of jedi. Ya should have simply left them out. Hindsight is usually 20/20....sucks to be you.

Well EmeraldBlade, we've all been screwed. Because our grinding in the darkness was in vain if we didn't hit the silentprofessions on the head. All our grinding and force to do more grinding takes 30x1combat profession. Means if you didn't do holos(in which i did thinking i'd get more credit or unlock), then you have to grind an approximate number of 45 combatprofessions{(30x1)+(30x0.5)}.
