And Haden if 99% of the forum community says they arent happy with the PvP part of the game you can be pretty damn sure 99% of ALL players feel that way.

Any one else catch that little note where Shug is now trying to take the word Combat Balance out of the community lexicon and replace it with Combat Revamp? Trying to implant in your mind that the state of combat in game is all fine and good and that all non mind hitting proffesions are just fine and dandy.

Thanks for coming out and apologizing. It did make many people(including myself) upset as to some of the things you said, but I'm glad you apologized and all is well now. Thank You.

I respect that you took the time to answer the communities concerns with this post, Mr. Black.

Your corrected answer is the one that makes sense and does not offend anyone. The same phenomenon is present in politics as well, the hurt cry out and the happy stay quiet.

The only thing I ask is that you show us the progress the few developers who are left working on live are making on the Combat Revamp. It will make me feel much better if I know they are working towards something even though I can only see bits and pieces of it.

I was (poorly) trying to articulate a common phenomenon that basically boils down to "happy community members are generally quiet community members." This has been true for us since launch.

Justcurious what % of your player base do you think falls into this category? I consider myself a relatively "quite" member of the community, but that's not because I'm happy. If anything, todayit's because I've reached that "what-does-it-matter"point. I, like many members of the community, have a lot of constructive ideas on how to help this game and have tried posting those. However, given the rate new threads appear on the boards, I don't envy you or anyone else to find and read all those ideas. Just before the end of Beta I had a thread about smuggler...essentially the same proposal that we may see in live two years after release.I've been a BH since beta, and the last few weeks are the first weeks I've ever had where NPC marks weren't consistantly bugged and were somewhat fun. When fixes like that take so long to see the light of day, it makes us"oldtimers" very pessamistic about fixes for things like the weapon switch delay. It seems like the concept to live cycle timeis already too long, and players have very little input into the concept stage...that we're only used astesters. Quite members also want to be constructive members. The feeling I get around the game, from my guild, and from the forums is that if things don't dramatically improve your quiet membersare going to startquietly departing.

The apologize is needed and well given; but I think giving points how the Dev team are planniung on how not to go thru this again would be more helpfull. Push 'stuff' back is a very bad habit this Dev team has had. IT can be understand toa point. But...This at a point of habit forming--like a drug. You know how many times a Dev member has said wait for the combat revamp?

There needs to be some hard structure revamped in both offices I think. Sure sounds like being under staffed to me. How else can you explain not making a timeline 90% of the time?

Player cities did not make release - We where told that we would get them ASAP after release.
Vehicles did not make release - We where told that we would get them ASAP after release.

I could go on and on with other features that did not make release but did afterwords. My point is this, wedid get what we where promissed.

We will get an excellent combat revamp and we will see a GCW that gives us the Star Wars experiance that we all long for. I am a casual player. I am willing to wait for the combat revamp because the game thatI want to play will be all that much better, in the interum I will do other activities then PvP. I have not burned out, there is still a ton of unexplored content for me to enjoy. I will get to the PvP game when it is balanced, but until then I will enjoy PvE.

Why is everyone so focused on the race? What apex are we trying to reach? I choose to enjoy the ride and the adventures that comes along with it. I want JTL to be the best that it can be and I do not want to wait until next year.
Lets move on, get in our spaceships and take flight, then we can enjoy a whole new experiance and come back to a

combat revamp and GCW that provides us with the game experiance that we are looking for.

I have been waiting since 1977 for JTL. From my perspective the schedule, assets and focus of developement is right on track. We will get there, I am sure of it.

everyone was was "focused on the race" because that was the poorly thrown together way to achieve the coveted Jedi. I however didnt try that holo grind. I simply play my titles 10+hours a day usually. They wanted and stated that this title was "casual firendly" because they flat out KNEW it wasn't going to be an easy first few years.

In Most MMORPGs the "Hard Core" Gamers tend to drive the economies and create the atmosphere that the "Casuals" can then participate in Part Time. Many Hard Core's are leaving....on Lowca the effect is fast becomming a very empty community ....Casuals will be missing out if they go there....unless they like solo PVE.

despite this being a good point in any other product, on the whole you cannot apply machined products or manufactured products to software of any kind: Windows, SWG,Microsoft Paint. Did you know that on average a game developer works on a game 100 timesas long asthe game will entertain one of its customers? You cannot expect the changes to be exactly on time or quick.

Jan,

I appreciate your point.

To tell your customer base that expecting fixes to a broken base is something they will just have to wait for is simpily unacceptable. I empathize with your viewpoint, however it's invalid. Customers dont want excuses, they want results.

If SOE cqan't get the job done, I'm sure others would love the opportunity.

I know I speak for ALL smugglers when I ask this question,

What did you mean in your IGN Interview about there being no planned Smuggler revamp?

You have pissed off a lot of people so I think it would be in your best interest to rectify this.
