Thread: Weekly Roundtable Discussion (Week Ending 4-12-04)
Tobad I dont know how to "qoute" others, but there was one post that mentioned how bandoleers cannt be worn w/ a back pack.
I so wish we could wear the full UBESE bounty hunter armor w/ Bandoleer & BH pack. the looks on it would be AWESOME.
To make the human race more dominate , why not allow only Humans to wear Composite Armor, since humans have no perks. And PLEASE dont say that humans can adjust trhere sub stats to wear comp, for i have seen other races in full comp due to DR buffs, then when the buffs wear off, they just leave the heavy armor on there person.
and once the human adjust hhis stats to wear comp w/o buffs, his max H.A.M. would be in the 400 range due to the armor encumberance, while the sub stats will be up near 700 subH.A.M.
Whats up with the minimal amount of interaction between The Devs, TH, and the community? The last few weeks to a month has been horrendous with short answers and being told to take our concerns to the Correspondants.
I REALLY hope that this downward spiral of communication stops soon. I thought this was TH's job? Has he been ordered to do otherwise? Maybe SOE ismaking him take on other jobs to cover his salary because they dont think Customer Service and Community Relations are worth anything?

I posted the reason in last week's thread. The reason for not clearing the stomach on clone is that not all foods are buffs. Several of them are instant effects (heals, etc.) If you allow the stomach to clear on clone then players can duel and use the no-PvP death penalty to clear their stomach and get a free set of instant food uses.
Im trying to see if we can reverse this decision.
Um, so what you are saying is that you are trying to prevent people from getting a new instant effect by having themselves killed so they can eat another Healing Burrito? Ah, c'mon... that's just plain retarded, SOE! TH, please get this reversed! If you do then more people will be able to eat even more Food-Of-Way-Too-Damn-Many-Checkers.

Eloquently put Bradimere..
Back in beta, we could wear bandoliers with backpacks..Thenabout a week before the game went live a patch went in that caused all belts and bandoliers to "hoola hoop" around characters. An attempt to hotfix this followed and sadly it only made the situation worse. Those who remember itknow the publish as the one that killed waist bendshapes. (still unfixed today)Prior to that patch.. long long ago..the scout jacket, and the desert command jacket didn't have the incrediblygirly skirt flares at the bottom, the belted jacket, and imperal uniform jacket didn'thideously deform your chest and waist, andmostnoticeably belts were actually wornUNDER jackets and dusters. These issues unfortunately, have never been adressed. I would very much like to hear from you, THUNDERHEART, or even better a member of the ART TEAM! I think the whole community would appreciate more art team comments on the forums.

Because Thunderheart, SOE's "Dedicated Communicator" is finally settled in, and has long since abandoned the position once dangled to the public horse as Koster's Amazing Communicating Carrot.
Dev Comunication is at an ALL TIME low, and since the disbanding of the general discussion forum, it no longer takes effort to ignore the remaining player base. Correspondents may actually be hearing from the guy .. and are likely hearing the same "we'll look into it" and "i'll pass this up".
TH's communication has gone from a feverish "Try to catch em all" tempo to starting one thread a week for all servers and all questions and then pasting an occasional "we're looking into it" response.
JustG comes in once in a blue moon to add that "We're not a crook" and "TH is doing a bang up job", also things like "We said we are going to do this, and we are still going to do this, and in six months we will still be "going to do this".
I've seen more dev posts on the frikkin Fan fest and Garva's Home show than on any real game development ideas in the last weeks.
As more and more jedi pop every day the jedi forums are a place of desolation, sadness, flaming, and unanswered questions. I dont even read other profession boards anymore because i know its just more of the same.
The "imperial crackdown" and "droid invasion" patches were the biggest waste of time i've ever witnessedaside frommy own existence.
TH, I understand that it's intended for stomachs not to empty on death. We would all like to understand the reasoning behind this, as we're having a little trouble understanding the logic.
Please don't ignore this. We would all love an explanation for this and we'll ask as many times as we have to.

Uhm
Clear effects on death/clone as well?
OH and another request about merchant vendors.Could there be a check put inplace that if the vendor has not had items added to it within X days (i think 30 days is plenty) then the vendor would be deleted? The excess maint in the vendor could be transfered back into the players bank account or just considered a loss.Im reallygetting sick of empty vendors cluttering the map, people made them while hologrinding or tried to start a business that failed but the empty vendors are still there.
Please do NOT read that im asking for vendor maint to be increased, im asking for empty and unused vendors to be removed after a considerable length of time. Think of ATMs that have been out of paper money to dispense for a month, it belongs to someone but they obviously dont care about running their business so it should be removed (sorry, but its the only annalogy i could think of, its been a long day).

sorry i dont know how to quote a post.
I would really like to have some fix.
one idea i have is after death have the stomach start a 5 min timer or something, i play a doctor/tk and i eat mind food so that i can be self sufficent in PvE but if im doing something tough and die right after i eat mind food im screwed until my stomach empties.
i personally hate down time. i play to play not to sit here and wait for stomach to emptie or the shuttle to get here or what ever else someone comes up with to make me sit here and twittle my thumbs. every time i get to a shuttle and it takes off as im clicking on the droid i log out and dont play anymore that day. one of these days sony will quit getting my $30 a month that i pay for my 2 accounts.

You'd think after 22 pages, someone would grace us with their presence.
